This is my first gaming laptop. It's very versatile as far as adding additional memory and has two usb-b and one usb-c port, perfect for an external SSD. I only have 6GB of RAM but have no issues playing games requiring up to 8GB, the graphics card is A+ but the screen resolution doesn't do it justice, good color though. This laptop is the perfect size to fit on a small table with a mouse but large enough to provide immersive game play. The best part, it's affordable while still using high quality components.

550 bucks for this laptop is beyond crazy! 6\12 CPU GTX 1060 maxq like performance upgradable ram and SSD [it's sad how that's becoming so rare thanks apple] extremely fast storage extremely fast machine, like you have no idea how fast and snappy a Ryzen 5000 make a PC feel this can basically be most people only PC the only bad things I can say about this laptop is: average screen but for 550 bucks I won't complain it's still 120hz and full hd the plastic construction doesn't feel that great but yet again it's just $550 Remember only 4 years ago we could only buy quad cores for laptops up to $5000, now for only 550 bucks you get this monster computer, I know faster things exist out there, but this laptop is more than enough for everyone except people who want to play at 4k with Max grafs, but we'll they gotta pay for that

This is the computer to get, especially now at the discounted price of $549 (regular price $849). It runs fast, quiet and stays cool (maybe very slightly warm) even while gaming with the graphics set to high. Other more intensive games may put more strain on the CPU, which we haven't tested yet, but this thing stays at a very reasonable temperature as compared to other Ryzen 5 laptops from other manufacturers. I tested a 14 inch laptop that was a different brand not long ago at Best Buy, and the underside was HOT to the touch while sitting idle. And yet another brand gaming laptop was also running very warm to the touch while at idle. The reason this matters to me is that AMD Ryzen CPUs tend to run warmer than Intel ones and you don't want to have to worry about the laptop running hot. You know you got a good laptop if the manufacturer figured out a way to make the laptop dissipate heat from the Ryzen CPU well, which Lenovo did with this machine. This 6-core workhorse is a steal at this price. Get it now!

Great laptop vey fas and snappy gots a little hot on your lap while doing heavy multitasking. Will be upgrading the ram and SSD in the future. Screen is average and I wshi it was brighter but is ok indoor and I will be setting up a work station with a monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse for a better video editing and gaming experience.

Works as it should. I'd do a ram and ssd upgrade just for a little better performance. Have to keep it plugged in to plays games is the only downside

If you are looking for a budget friendly laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is definitely the one to get. The GTX 1650 is decent for medium setting's in most modern games. I can easily get 60 FPS in Halo Infinite by adjusting the settings. The only thing I do not like about the laptop is the battery. I know this laptop has a little more power under the hood compared to more basic laptops, but the battery could be better. If i use the 'Power Saver' option in Windows, I can get about an hour and a half to maybe two hours. Overall, it is a good budget friendly gaming laptop. My two recommendations would be to upgrade the ram to a 16GB kit, and adding an second NvME for more storage.

A very good laptop, this is my first laptop and it is so easy to upgrade, after time I upgraded it with an extra ram and 1 TB ssd and i did it all by myself without experience.

I bought this laptop when it was on sale $550 as others mentioned and wow what a steal. The computers runs fast and the construction of the laptop is pretty good, yes there is better builds out there but for this price the built is very good. Runs my StarCraft 2 game smooth like butter, very happy with this purchase.

Best Gaming laptop for the price. I could play games at a higher graphics.

Performs like a chance to play Fortnite and other games. Only wish the battery would last longer without being plugged in. Seems to last 1 hour at best.

It was a good first gaming laptop to buy and it has a good price for a student.

Good graphics, does not heat up, solid built, does not feel cheap. Four stars because the battery dies within an hour. for a new computer you shouldn't have to worry about plugging it in within minutes after only using it lightly, not even gaming. After my last full charge, I was able to get 37 minutes before it asked me to plug it in because battery was on its last leg.

Affordable price for a great product. Came in good as new and runs like a dream. For a lower price like this, it’s a great bargain for a mid range gaming laptop.

Super high fps on games but after a while the screen starts going blxk

It’s pretty awesome. I upgraded ram to Kingston fury 16GB and added 1TB wd black 750 internal ssd for $140. The ssd is a must or at least an external drive. It has no room without. Plug and play. I added the internal ssd and moved the one game I was able to fit stock to new drive and then added 5 more games. Still have room for a lot more. Super nice gaming laptop for casual gamer. The upgrades are a must though. I’m a busy adult with little time to play but when I throw on the headphones and get into a game of Far Cry this thing is exactly what I’m looking for.

great for the price, one of the cheapest with 120hz screen. battery life is decent.

Bought this as a birthday present for my son so he can do his school work on it and play some games.

Good, fast, reliable. Cheap build quality though. Its alright for someone who is just starting out.

If you're looking for a laptop in this price range you really do get a lot for your money with this guy. Its not fancy, but its nice! Performs well for office work and web browsing and has no issues with great looking streaming.
