A: The device should have some charge left within the battery from the initial factory charge. You can use the device right out of the box. We recommend you use the device initially, plugged in, that way there is no possibility that the battery will loose charge while activating/updating Windows 10 for the first time. You can use the device while it is plugged in and charging. It will just take longer for the device to charge if you are using the device while charging. It should take approximately 2.5 hours to charge the device to 100% from 20% charge.
A: The battery is not user replaceable. It can only be replaced by a certified technician.
Q: Would this laptop be good for some video editing?
A: I'm a video editor (my full time job) and looking at the specs of this machine I would say yes, this laptop could easily handle video editing of HD level content. If you are going to be editing some types of 4K video (XDCAM) you may see performance lag but it would probably still be tolerable. It would benefit from more RAM but 12 GB is OK for smaller projects. I'd suggest that you get a fast external drive to put your video on since it's not advisable to work from the internal SSD. Just my thoughts.
Q: Would this laptop be able to run Adobe programs such as photoshop and illustrator?
A: Definitely! The specs are good enough to run both at the same time.
Q: Ad reads 12GM Memory but in description below under it reads 4GB - which is correct?
A: I purchased this about a month ago and I'm thinking it's more like 4GB, have slowness when downloading videos and larger emails. Also, battery life is not 6 hours, more like 2-4 hours!!!!!
