Such a high quality machine. Feels very sturdy and premium. Screen is gorgeous since its oled. Whatbsold me is that this is a 12gb 5070 so it can handle more demanding titles without massive frame drops. 100% reccomend if its on sale. At full price there are better valued options.

I bought this mainly for college but knowing I will also use it for some light gaming. I love the keyboard although I’m still getting used to the number pad! Fast and great display.

Good gaming laptop. Runs games well. Well built. Surprisingly lightweight, can run most games and has room to run games in the future.

Gorgeous build but for some reason the laptop itself didn’t run as smooth as I’d hoped. I purchased open box so maybe it’s a dud but I’ll be returning it as the textures in my game were not the best.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you encountered performance issues with the Legion 7a, leading to your return. Your experience matters to us, so we would like to recommend a few actions you can take to improve it if you decide to keep the device.
Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available driver updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings. These updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect graphics drivers, leading to improved performance. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage, begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top right-hand side of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, and finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
This Legion 7a allows users to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Legion Space app. Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges, you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Performance mode, which will increase display responsiveness and CPU/GPU performance. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.
The Legion 7a also includes the option of controlling the “GPU Working Mode”. You can find this within Legion Space, just below the Thermal Profile modes from the previous step. This allows your device to switch between the integrated GPU and the discrete GPU. By switching modes, you can enhance battery life through the Hybrid-iGPU Only Mode, which will lower the power draw of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, or enhance display performance with dGPU Mode.
Please feel free to reach out to us through the Q&A section of this product page if you would like to share any additional comments or if you have any further questions.
Best wishes,
Lenovo
