Lenovo Legion is Alright

The lenovo legion pro 5i is an excellent laptop in terms of performance and cooling. It can run all modern games at a high frame rate while staying relatively cool. The issue is the size and weight of the thing. I though I was ready for it, I was not. The charger alone is the size of a book and weighs even more. Altogether the laptop and charger weigh something like 7-8 pounds! Quite the arm workout if you plan on taking this anywhere. The battery life is also quite atrocious, barely lasting 4 or 5 hours while idling, not even 2 while gaming. 5 stars in terms of performance, looks, and cooling, -2 for the sheer size and weigut of the thing and the battery life.

Regarding your issue with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even more power conservation.

Great laptop for gaming

Very good laptop that does everything I need it to do. Runs all my games well, and I can do all my work. Battery life isn’t great, but this thing pretty much stays on the charger all the time, so it doesn’t really matter. Very happy with it.

I bought this laptop mainly to upgrade from my previous gaming laptop from Asus. By far it’s been really good I played games like Valorant, Minecraft, Far Cry 5 and 6 along with Game Development and performance is pretty good. For the selling price and it’s spec I say it’s a good deal

Fast and powerful laptop

This is a sturdy, fast, and powerful laptop. I have owned since April 2025. I do not use it for gaming. I have used it for editing photos and videos and it works seamlessly. Battery life is fair and settings can be adjusted to prolong battery life if needed. However, I have not used that feature much other than when my battery is dying and I am trying to finish the task before I have to get the charger. The battery recharges extremely fast. I researched well before making my purchase and it has met or even exceeded my expectations regarding quality for the price I paid.

I love the speed. The i9 processor is crazy fast. I use this laptop specifically for Djing and it has worked way better than I expected! The backlit keyboard is great and the screen shows colors very vividly

Bought this on a deal and happy to say one of the best finds out there! No issues at all and plays all my favorote games with no issues as well as running CAD like a champ. The Lenovo Legion has always been a great computer with the exception of the battery life but it can't all be perfect. If you keep ot docked you shoild have no problems. Has the latest processor and a pretty solid 4060, just added some additional RAM and it was good to go. Would definitely recommend this product.
