When searching for a high-end laptop for 3D modeling, almost all the recommendations you find online are heavily tailored strictly toward Architecture or standard video editing. There is a massive lack of clear guidance for Product and Industrial Design workflows. After doing my own research, I went with the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, and it is definitely an outstanding price-to-performance option. As a product designer, my daily workflow involves complex surface modeling in CAD software like SolidWorks, high-fidelity rendering in Unreal Engine, and slicing intricate files for 3D printing. This machine handles everything flawlessly. The hardware chews through heavy assemblies and organic surfaces without breaking a sweat. Furthermore, the thermal management is top-tier; it keeps the chassis cool and prevents thermal throttling even during long, demanding rendering sessions. You are basically getting raw, desktop-level workstation power without the massive "professional workstation" price markup. If you are an industrial designer, engineering student, or 3D artist looking for reliable performance that won't hold your creativity back, this laptop is the absolute best investment you can make. Highly recommended.

Lenovo legion pro 7i gen 10. RTX5080 16gb vram, ultra 9 275hx, 64gb ram, 1tb nvme, 240hz OLED display, 2560x1600 resolution. This laptop can handle pretty much everything you throw at it on max settings. I'm loving it so far. Definitely recommend if you're a hardcore gamer that wants the portability or doesn't have room for a full desktop PC.

Phenomenal screen and performance! This is a beast!

This laptop exceeded my expectations. The OLED display is absolutely stunning with vibrant colors and smooth 240Hz refresh rate, which makes gaming and watching content a great experience. Performance is top-tier thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5080 — everything runs fast and smoothly, even demanding games and multitasking.

Fantastic laptop. I upgraded from a 2022 Legion 5i Pro to this, and while I was expecting improvements from an already solid performing laptop...I am still blown away. The 275hx + 64GB DDR5-6400 + RTX 5080 mobile combo in this laptop is SOLID. So fast, smooth, snappy. I am pretty sure it makes my competent desktop blush. The cooling solution is fantastic. Quieter and more effective than my 2022 5i, and with all the heat going out the back, no more hot mouse hand. The ports on the side was easy to adjust to more than I thought it would be. The noise of the fans is very doable even at full blast, for a gaming laptop, not bad at all and very livable. Performance-wise, I was able to run some of my games in quiet mode on the Pro 7 that would require balance mode or performance mode on the 5i (12700H + 32GB DDR5 + RTX 3070 8GB). That's impressive! I look forward to further seeing where performance goes with this monster of a gaming laptop. The screen is phenomenal. Just blown away at how nice this OLED is to look at. I like the 60hz/240hz auto switch as well. The LED lighting is easy to control in Legionspace, though it did take a little bit of time to sort it out. I don't need the back vent or Legion logo or front LED bar lit up, just the keyboard. Within a couple minutes I had the profile set. Adding my second NVME SSD was quite easy, even though it is covered with the third fan/semi-heat sink cooling solution for additional components, was very easy. If you're not handy, it might be a little more difficult...but I've had far more trouble with other brand laptops, including Dell, than this one in years past. There are certainly easier laptops to get into, but this one isn't difficult by any means. I expected this laptop to be a little larger than my 5i, which it was. I also expected it to be heavier...but it certainly doesn't feel any heavier. I've taken my 5i all over the nation, this one will travel just fine and suit my portable gaming/workstation needs with ease. The build quality and rigidity of the chassis are top notch. The keyboard for typing, typical Lenovo greatness, the touchpad is perfectly fine for a gaming/productivity laptop. The battery life I haven't tested too much yet, but what I have done so far has been impressive. I obviously am not gaming while on battery, but for doing some productivity tasks and watching YT, I was able to do that for a couple hours and had plenty of reserve left. My 5i could barely muster that and I was always looking to charge ASAP. A 99.99mAh battery is nothing to be trifled with, that's a monster capacity. But it works well here. One area I think my 5i has an edge is the finish. The black finish on this laptop certainly looks good, but it is a fingerprint magnet like no other. The 5i's silver finish, while also a fingerprint magnet, did a much better job hiding them. I purchased this through Antonline. They were fast to ship out, it showed up 3-days earlier than estimated. They had the best price by far in Holiday Season 2025. I am very happy with this purchase. This laptop is a true beast.

Its easy to reach the battery low within 2hrs of using it. I only used browsing not a gaming platform.

The laptop is a neon rainbow i.e. the keys are lit up , the back of the computer is lit up. As to storage space there is a ton -a terabyte. It’s fast the Intel processor Ultra 9 , you can’t get any bitter.

Very impressed. I've had several laptops and this takes the cake. Unless you want to go with a 18 inch laptop you won't get better performance or thermals out of a 5080.

64gb is no joke, plus with the graphics, can run multiple adobe programs and hundreds of internet tabs without lag

Great specs for the price! 5080 and 64gb of ram - this thing is a powerhouse! Screen is excellent as well - No complaints.

So far I'm pleased with the Lenovo! It has proven powerful to run most games while being budget friendly during sales! I can see why it was recommended by many buyers and reviwers! Though heavy use with kill the batteries so have your ac power supply on hand.

Temps are great, so far very little throttling at all. 3dmark is running at low wattage 5090 levels which is impressive. Overall I really like it.
