Q: How does upgrading the ram under warranty work? 16 is simply too low.
A: RAM can be upgraded up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 or DDR5-5600. This will not void the warranty unless damage occurs during the upgrade or because of the upgrade. I would recommend always keeping any components that may be removed during upgrades because if service ever needs to occur you'll need to have it be stock. It also could possibly help in troubleshooting if there is a future issue. I hope this helps.
Q: How many watts is the Power Supply Unit?
A: It is a 500 psu. It is not enough for this build, and will need to be replaced.
Q: Is there a way to adjust the color of the LEDs?
A: Launch the Lenovo Vantage toolbar and click customize, but for some reason I can't adjust. change or turn off the GPU lighting. Everything else works fine.
Q: does the motherboard have a two slots for ssd?
A: Two M.2 Slots (one of slots is already occupied with the 1TB reading Legion on it), and One 2.5 SSD Slot. Also behind the Power supply is a 3.5 Bay that seats two. I uploaded two pictures showing the bays. Below the GPU Card is where I install a second M.2 2TB.
Q: does the 16gb of ram on this machine come in 2 sticks of 8gb each, or just 1 stick of 16gb
A: 2 sticks of 8
Q: Can the power supply be replaced? And if so what should the size of the power supply be?
A: I just recently replaced the stocked 500w with a CORSAIR - RMx Series RM1000x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply. Note: Because of the new power supply length I had to remove the 3.5 HD chassis. I added two pictures showing the original vs the new Corsair.
A: Yes, RAM can be upgraded in this PC up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 or DDR5-5600.
Q: What is the motherboard used? Is the memory only expandable up to 64GB?
A: Lenovo IB660ML motherboard
