Horrible experience with a refurbished computer purchased through BestBuy.com from SJ Computers LLC. I purchased the computer because I was on a limited budget and trusted buying through the Best Buy website. Within only a few weeks of use, the computer started shutting off several times a day and became unusable for work. What made the situation worse was how both companies handled it. Best Buy kept saying it was a “Marketplace” purchase and redirected me to the seller. The seller then told me Best Buy had to handle refunds because they did not process my payment information directly. Even more concerning, the seller offered to send me another computer and said I could keep the defective one without even returning it. That did not give confidence in the quality or reliability of the products being sold. I already had to spend more money to purchase another computer because I rely on one for work every day. Companies should not sell defective products through trusted platforms and then avoid responsibility when customers need help. Buyers should be very careful when purchasing refurbished electronics through Marketplace sellers on BestBuy.com.
