Bought this product for my personal use and is delighted with it. Battery life and speed is great. The only challenge I have is that when I use it in tablet mode it keeps going to the desktop display. All in all I am pleased with my purchase!!!

Thank you for choosing the lenovo Yoga 720-12. The issue you mention about the screen orientation changing from tablet to desktop when you are in tablet mode, may be corrected by updating the BIOS and drivers on the computer. This can be done easily by using the Lenovo Utility software installed on your computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Perfect for students

I bought this as a Black Friday purchase because my old laptop was starting to slow down, and i will be going into a master's program after May. This laptop is very lightweight, so it's great to carry around between classes and anywhere else I need to go. It is very fast to start up and simple things like the fingerprint sensor, touch screen, and flexibility have been great conveniences for me as a student to do work on, as well as using it for personal use such as netflix. The screen on this is very clear and the battery power will last me the whole day without having a plug in, a very important factor to me. It is pretty small which makes it good for travel, but not so small it's an inconvenience to type on or read from. Especially for the price, this laptop is a great investment for students.

I’m a huge Lenovo fan. I use one at work and wanted to purchase one for my wife who is a teacher at a local University. She needed something smaller to lug around, so I purchased this. The screen is awesome and easy on the eyes. The touch screen and tablet capabilities are awesome. If you are just looking for a fast, small, lightweight computer for work or just browsing...then this is for you!

Great alternative to the Surface

My Surface Pro 3 gave up after 2 years, due to a few mishaps, which resulted in a cracked screen that rendered the touchscreen unusable. Then the charging port went bad so I had no choice but to look for another option. Now, I am the most technologically challenged person you will meet that relies on technology to do their job (the irony) so I asked the Best Buy salesperson to recommend the best alternative to the Surface as I couldn't afford to fork over $900. This Lenovo Yoga is PERFECT for what I need it for. It is so light, it makes it so easy to carry in my work bag, and was easy to set up and get connected to my WiFi & mobile hotspot. And if I can figure it out, anyone can!

Compact & Functional

If you’re some one who wants a fast & lightweight laptop to use on the go, this laptop is for you. I love that it is so sleek and compact. I have used 15’ ,14’ and 10” laptops before but I think this so far been my best device. There are a few downside to the laptop though - it has only one USB type B port and one USB type C port (which isn’t really common yet). It also does not have a HDMI port so if you’re someone needs all them ports, this isn’t for you. Depending on how much workload you regularly carry out, you would occasionally hear the fan. But not to worry, it’s a very low buzzing sound that sometimes goes unnoticed. All in all, I think this a great laptop. I chose its compactness and speed over memory size and port extensions.

I just got my Lenovo Note Book and I love it. it is super easy to use. Super convenience for school, is not heavy, easy to carry on. it is a fast computer. battery life is good. the best part you can use it as tablet or computer.

Overall, pleased with the laptop. Was looking for something small, light and thin and it fit the bill. Questioned whether or not the processor speed and RAM would be sufficient and it is for what I needed it to do. However, I encountered a quirk out of the box that was frustrating. Apparently, the touchpad shuts down once it goes to sleep or the lid is closed...the touchscreen still works, but the touchpad does not. After reading some message boards found out that it might be necessary to update the BIOS and the touchpad drivers through the Lenovo app on the screen to correct the problem. I was hesitant to do so fearing I might mess something up but after doing this it corrected the problem immediately. Oddly enough, ran into a friend who had purchased a similar Lenovo Yoga laptop and they were complaining about the same problem and almost took it back to the store, but once I directed them how to correct it solved the problem as well. I did not expect this problem out of the box and wondered why it would be shipped with outdated drivers and BIOS. In the end, all is well and the laptop functions as it should.

Great choice for an easy to take computer/tablet

I was looking for an option for the times I wanted to take a computer with me but didn't need/want my 17" gaming computer. This 12" Lenovo Yoga fits the bill. Light weight with enough computing power to check email, shop, research current events ,update spreadsheets or visit on facebook. The 128 gb ssd may be a little small for for my long term needs but upgrading to 256 or 500 gb ssd is a possibility. I ordered an active pen since it was not included and look forward to exploring the WRITEit program.

Still a good laptop

I bought this laptop as a portable alternative to my 17" Hp while I was riding my bike to school. It been a great computer, there was an issue with the lenovo software for a ehile where the touch screen feature didn't work but that seems to be resolved now and hasn't been an issue for almost a year. Its fast easy to use and still going strong almost three years later.

This a perfect sized 2 in 1 with some great features. A full HD screen, a SSD, and good battery life in a nice compact package. It's very light with good build quality, and the convenient fingerprint sensor secures the computer. I've added the Lenovo Active Pen to use with pen enabled Apps. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I used to purchase the computers with the fastest processor and most up to date hardware. Min cost was 1250 at least. At that cost my computer would last 5 years or more. The last two times I did this, the computer couldn’t keep up with the advancements in apps/ software. It did no good to pay that much and throw away the computer in less than 2 years. A lot of people lease tablets and phones because of the advancements. All that’s left is gaming and office software of laptops / desktops. This one is perfect for the personal office suite. It turns on quick and is perfect for excel / publisher and basic photo editing. It works well for reading magazines and comics as well as viewing Netflix. No complaints here. Love it. Shift key taken care of. They put it on both sides ! Hahah. This new version offers the touch as well as ink functions.

Exceeds expectation for the Affordable Price

I got the GS certified excellent condition Lenovo 720 for a little less than 400 and I would say this exceeds my expectation for the price. It's i3 processor makes it reliable plus the SSD storage makes it blazingly fast. I love how sexy thin and light this notebook, too! The hinge is sturdy enough to hold the laptops in tent mode or any other modes. This laptop suits my personal needs and is a great upgrade from my previous Xiaomi laptop. The downside is that you cannot expect this to work smoothly out of the box. You have to update the essential softwares like Lenovo Vantage, drivers and windows system as a jumpstart or else you will get problems like screen flickering and unreliable fingerprint sensor. You have to get used to the clicky touchpad also. The included wall charger has a cable that is a bit flimsy so might as well be extra careful handling it. Overall I see this purchase as a great value for money.

Pros: Fantastic screen quality with tiny bezels. Metal build, fast hard drive, probably the best-designed all-in-one as Yogas have continued to improve. Cons: Hard to fault the machine at the 550 price point. If I had bought it for MSRP, I'd maybe like 8 gb of ram instead of 4 - but I haven't seen the machine stutter from any normal tasks yet so perhaps it's not needed.

Super Light and Compact Laptop

I have had this product for two weeks and love it. Very light and mobile. The keyboard is the right size, not too small or wide. Battery life seems decent but haven’t had to go a full day to really test its capabilities.

Great Lightweight Laptop

I bought my daughter a Yoga a couple of years ago and she loves it. I was looking for a lightweight machine and this one comes in at only about two pounds. Don't let the size fool you, it's a full-featured machine. It's fast, despite having only 4 gb of memory, not upgradable. The small-ish 128 gb SSD is also not a problem, because I keep most of my work in the cloud. When it's time to relax, it's nice to use its tent configuration to watch a movie and the tablet configuration lets you use it as a, well, tablet. All-in-all well worth the price and even more.

High Performance

I was looking to buy something that was cutting edge, high performance with a little less cost than a Mac. I’ve had it two months and the obly issue was the mouse driver needed to be repaired and this was new out the box. Its light, fast, and my 7 year old loves the functionality.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 720-12. Occasionally a Windows 10 update will require an update of drivers. This was the case for the Yoga 720-12 and the touchpad issue you mention. There was a new driver update to correct this issue caused by a recent Windows 10 update. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. Use the "Update Your System" feature to be sure you get all of the BIOS and drive updates for your specific device. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point.
