Upfront, note that this is a 14" model WITHOUT a dedicated side number pad. If this is important, get the 16" version. I like this size and can do without the number-pad. This a tradeoff I knew about previously and gladly accepted. 14" display is perfect for me. This 14" Yoga is portable and has extended battery life. There are things that need to be done to Windows 11 to suit me and someday soon I will put a section on my website describing all the settings changes I do to Windows 11 to make it more to my liking which I also do to customers' computers I set up. Lenovo Yogas feature metal instead of plastic, non-obtrusive sliding lens cover on their webcams, sturdy hinges that folf back completely for additional configurations (tablet, "tent"). Very bright display which can be adjusted where you adjust the volume. Windows 11 comes set to change the brightness automatically but I disable this because how does Windows 11 know how bright I like it? One of many settings I change with the new Windows. Off the bat, go to Setttings>Updates and manually check to get caught up on updates. Then open Lenovo Vantage and do all the "System Updates" it recommends including the BIOS. Close all other open programs before installing the BIOS update. Doing it now, if something goes wrong, you are still in the return Window. Wait it out - don't get impatient and do something stupid like shut your computer off during a BIOS update. All in all, you can't beat this machine for speed, features and price. Wish you knew me so I could do your Windows setup correctly. :)

I think a huge plus with this laptop is how light weight and thin it is. I was searching for something to replace my old gen surface go from 4 years ago and loved the portability with it. But, with that I was also looking to replace my Hp Envy that was super powerful. So, something light and could take heavy programs. I think this laptop was a good option. With the i7 evo inter grated into this laptop, it makes it so fast. I also didn’t notice the finger print sensor for easy log in! The laptop comes with a 720p webcam and a protective cover to cover the webcam when not in use. The webcam is okay, had to play around with the settings to fix the lighting but as long as you can clearly see my face there isn’t much of a problem. The cover can get annoying at times, sometimes it slides back to cover the camera and I catch myself sliding it back. I got this laptop on sale and it was super worth it!!

I fell in love with Lenovo Yoga's when I first got the Yoga 700-14ISK and I still use that laptop. I just wanted something newer last year, and all I knew was I wanted another Yoga. I ended up going with this one and it's even better. A smaller unit overall, but the actual screen size is almost the same thanks to the smaller border around it. The core i7 is absolutely fantastic. I don't really use the touchscreen, I hate having smudges on my screen. One of the other more expensive Yogas came with a stylus which I would probably make more use out of the touchscreen with, but I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars more for that. The one complaint I have about it is the speakers. Not the sound quality, but the placement of them. Upward-facing speakers are the worst as dirt or crumbs can easily get packed into the small speaker holes along either side of the keyboard. Other than that, fantastic laptop and I 100% recommend it to anyone in the market for one. Really any Lenovo Yoga is a solid choice. One of my coworkers asked me for a laptop recommendation and I gave him the link to this laptop and he tells me every time we talk how much he loves it.

I would give it a zero star if I could! This laptop has serious issues: From day 1, I've been having problems with the network card. All of sudden, in the middle of work, I recurrently lose wi-fi connection. In order to reconnect I need to reset the network card, restart the laptop, and manually connect again to my wi-fi network. Though this is a 2-1 laptop I keep it most of the time on my desk. The hinge is poorly designed, as it attaches to a plastic made piece glued to the inside side of the lid (behind the screen). That plastic piece 10 months after I had bought the laptop, and the support team washed their hands by saying this is a mechanical problem and therefore not covered by the warranty, even though it was within the 1-year period from the purchase. They offered me their technical support but the cost of service is ridiculously high. Including the parts I would have to buy, it would cost me close to what I spend on this laptop. After shopping a bit, I had to buy a new part and had the service done by a local technician. I spent almost $500 in total! A couple of months later, the touchscreen functionality stopped working. I did not think it was a big deal because I've been using this laptop on my desk 99% of the time, as I was afraid of having issues with the hinge again. However, just a few months after having the entire screen replaced, including the metal lid, and all circuits inside, the hinge broke again, on the same side and pretty much at the same spot. I complained to Lenovo and their answer was: "damage is the natural result of usage", "the base warranty does not cover this type of issue", "you need Accidental Damage Protection Warranty", etc. They are incapable of admitting the fact that this laptop has design issues, and it's assembled with cheap parts. You cannot expect that a small piece of plastic, attached to the metal lid and screwed to the hinge, support all the pressure and tension from opening and closing the laptop in the long run. This is simply bad engineering! Please notice that I have never used my laptop as a tablet, even though it is sold as a 2-1 laptop. If I had done that, this mechanism would have broken much sooner. My recommendation: Don't buy this laptop! Actually, I would even say don't buy Lenovo laptops!! Certainly, I won't ever do that again!

My YOGA I7 has been a revelation. Fast startup, fast WiFi, stable with a long lasting battery. I even have it connected to my Galaxy phone allowing me to receive texts on my computer. Tech has come a long way.

The speed is phenomenal, the speakers are out of this world, and the graphics make you feel like you're there with the real thing. Had an older Lenovo G50, so I was familiar with the brand, but the Yoga 7i brings my experience to new heights. The tablet mode is a bit cumbersome, but very suitable for watching videos. The lighted keyboard is very helpful to see the keys in dimmed lights, which tcan be adjusted in settings. Extremely happy with the purchase. But for the price, the stylus pen should have been included.

The Lenovo Yoga line is excellent as a daily workhorse convertible! The Core i7 processor and 12GB of RAM is a powerhouse combo for such a small package. That said, I experienced the same issue that I'm discovering many others have had. Just over a year after purchase (just beyond the warranty expiration) the right hinge broke (seemingly out of the blue) while closing the notebook. It appears to be a design flaw which has apparently provoked a class action suit related to other models. I have a hard time recommending this otherwise excellent laptop because of the cost and the potential loss if it breaks (which it has done for quite a few customers).

The product Yoga 7i is one of its own kind. The finishing touch of the external hardware is really smooth. It comes with 512gb SSD which makes it quite fast. Moreover, 12gb ram gives me enough space to run browser, games, meeting applications at the same time without overheating. I has been a good product for me.

Under no circumstances would I recommend this computer. We owned one prior to this and had good luck, upgraded to the i7 with more memory and storage. As you can see in the photo the hinge has snapped through the glass and out of the bottom of the lid. Because we didn't pay an additional $300 for accidental damage, which this is not, it's a manufacturing defect, our warranty won't cover the repair. Thus we are out of luck. Avoid this computer!

This Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 14 model number 82BH00DLUS, ships with two 360-degree hinges on the screen/keyboard that have been bench tested through 25,000 cycles (the equivalent of 8 to 10 years of normal use), without a failure. Hinge and screen broke approximately 14 months after purchase. Lenovo will not pay for a fix. This is clearly a design defect; do a Google search and you will find many other owners who have experienced the same or similar breakage. There is even a class action suit for the 360 degree hinge on a different model.

I bought this laptop barely a year. Tried closing it after a class in school, the laptop wont close because the hinge broke. Took it back to best buy and they say i have to contact Lenovo because i didn't get a protection plan. Please, do not buy it if you are a student like me.

tl;dr Great computer for the price, got exactly what I was looking for. Only complaints are limits from a small computer or personal positioning issues. I wanted a computer to let me pursue digital art while still getting general everyday usage. I love this laptop! It's not perfect, but I definitely got my money's worth. While I'm not fully on board with Windows yet (coming from a Mac), this computer is fairly user-friendly! $$$: I came in to this with a budget of $1000. I got this model on sale for $779.99, and after 1 yr Geek Squad protection and taxes, I walked out having spent $1020. And while unfortunately that didn't include a stylus pen, I was definitely happy with that number. Things I love: it's light, attractive, comfortable, compact, and has a great battery life. I use pretty taxing programs, but I still get a good amount of time before it even hits power-saver mode. I bought the digital pen from the same brand and product line (Lenovo Yoga Active Pen 2, not carried by Best Buy but available from Lenovo directly) and I'm loving the versatility of the pen/laptop combo for art. Definitely a step up from my long-outdated Macbook. Things I don't love: as a touch screen, it gets smudged very easily. There aren't a whole lot of ports or connections. My biggest complaint is that the screen doesn't stand up to much pressure. When I have it flipped around but not flat, I can't lean into my drawing too much or it just pushes the screen down flat. Not a deal breaker by any means, but putting it flat on the desk makes me hunch over, rather than sitting up with the screen propped. I usually end up putting my off-hand behind it to support it, but that gets old after a minute. In the end, I am 100% satisfied with my purchase, and would definitely make it again. Although I managed to get this model on sale ($779.99), I was already planning to purchase the i5 equivalent closer to retail value and just got lucky.

The machine was not in display/stock when my husband order it and he didn't paid attention to the machine specs - he though it was the same as his current one which is a Thinkpad Yoga. Once the order arrived to be picked up at the store, my husband immediately realized it doesn't have enough ports to satisfy his needs: he would have to buy an external multiport, which it was not convenient for him, so hi ask me to return it. I cannot speak about this laptop performance since it was not used at all, but the machine is lite and very portable. Probably a great machine for somebody with different needs.

I purchased the Lenovo Yoga 7i 14" to compare with the Yoga 9i for home/work use. The pros: 1. I really loved the keyboard which for me is important bc Im doing a lot of work on it typing up docs, using excel etc vs basic web surfing. 2. the Specs were pretty good 12G Memory which is good for multi-tasking basic home and work use (more on this later) 3. 512 SSD - enough for my needs 4. Decent screen for watching movies (more on this) 5. Speakers were good quality and found the sound to be good for watching movies, and could have zoom calls without having to use headphones and there are a LOT of computers in this price range which have poor speakers that sound tinny or have a tunnel/echo effect Cons: 1. 12 Gb - there's no 16GB option. Why not? I was looking for a future proof purchase so i could use for @5 years. The 12 GB IS slower in functionality than the Yoga 9i at 16 GB. I did a test downloading files from the cloud as well as transferring files using same cable and same wifi. 2. The screen is FHD which is good, but not great compared to the 9i and other screens. It only has about 300 nits and trust me it makes a difference if you've used a screen with 400 nits. With that said if you haven't SEEN the difference, you probably won't know. :) 3. Placement of the speakers -- I eat while I work and watch movies etc and crumbs do sometimes fall... so those tiny little holes on the side for the speakers... I dont think that works for me, and if you use in tent mode, the speakers don't follow you, so there's a sound difference.
