Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you encountered issues with the Yoga 7i. In an effort to improve your experience, we would like to share some possible solutions to improve battery life and thermals.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available driver updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings. These updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect power allocation, leading to improved battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage, begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top right-hand side of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, and finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.'

The Yoga 7i also allows you to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Vantage app, select the "Device Settings" tab from the left-hand side of the display, scroll down to "Power modes," and select the best mode based on your needs. We suggest using Quiet mode, which will lower the temperature and reduce battery consumption of the Yoga 7i when under load. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

To further address your concern regarding thermals, we recommend using your Yoga 7i on a hard, flat surface that allows adequate airflow to the bottom vents. This enables the cooling system to operate as designed, helping manage temperatures more effectively during intensive tasks.
