I first bought the lower model of this LeVoit vacume a couple years back and have been so pleased with it that I bought this new version for the lower level of my home. These vacs aren't meant for carpet, but they do a nice job on some smaller rugs. I don't really see much of a difference between the older / less expensive LeVoit and the new, slightly different one. Thats a good thing. This IQ may be a bit heavier, and the dirt cup is a little larger, but I don't like it any more than I do my older one. Both are handy, easy to maintain, with good battery life, and not too noisy. They don't replace a big sucker vac but they sure get used a lot more than the big sucker!! I NEVER have hair etc collect on the vac brush ! And when I open the dirt canister to dump it, dirt just slides right out with no fuss..... unless I overfill it and then I have to help it a bit. They are very easy to take apart and clean, or replace filters. I bought a multi pack of filters for my older model and guess what !!! The new one takes the same size filters and comes apart the same way! PS I dont allow my hubby to use my vacs....its dangerous for my vacs to do so.

It was a very good purchase, I already have time to have it and it has not generated any failure!
