Customer Ratings & Reviews

The LG 2.1 Channel S40T soundbar with wireless subwoofer delivers impressive audio performance in a smaller, space-friendly form factor. Its slim, understated design makes it an excellent choice for smaller entertainment setups or rooms where space is at a premium, yet it still provides a full, room-filling sound. Despite its compact size, the soundbar produces clear, balanced audio, with dialogue coming through crisp and easy to understand. The included wireless subwoofer adds depth and punch to bass-heavy scenes, enhancing movies, music, and gaming without requiring messy cables. The wireless connection remains stable, and setup is quick and hassle-free.

This soundbar and subwoofer combo is a MUST for your LG TVV. I love that my LG TV automatically connects to the soundbar as soon as I turn it on. I used to work at best buy Magnolia and what they thought me was that a soundbar makes the sound a lot better than just simply relying on TV speakers(which are cheap compared to what they used to be), then when you add a subwoofer to the mix, it immerses you in whatever you’re watching. Have you ever watched a movie in the theater and a scene came up where you feel the treble and vibrations all around you, making you feel like you’re there? THAT is what a soundbar WITH subwoofer does, but in the comfort of your own home ! Insanely good combo to get, good price for what you get, and simply NO REGRETS ! As simple as connecting it to your TV via Bluetooth or Optical cable and it’s ready to go.

I can MOSTLY recommend this soundbar. Your experience may be smoother than mine, but there are a few caveats to know about first. This comes with an optical cable. If you want to use eARC you will need to supply your own HDMI cable. Also, this soundbar does not sit completely flush under the TV stand. I have an LG B5 and the light sensor for the remote comes down too far. Since I have this on a stand, it's not the biggest deal, but it would be nice if it fit neatly under the table. Setup is very easy since I paired it with an LG TV. It recognizes it immediately. However, the TV remote only half works for controlling it. I can adjust volume and even turn the TV/soundbar off. However, when turning the TV back on, the soundbar does not come back on. I've tried everything possible, even reaching out to LG support. Unfortunately, they were no help. This may be updated in a future software update as others have mentioned this issue going away with subsequent updates. I did make sure to update both the TV and soundbar, as well as try a different HDMI cord. While it is very annoying, there are multiple ways to turn the bar on. It just requires an extra button push. I'd say if this is going to be in a living room or on your main TV, you may want to get a step up in soundbars to see if that alleviates the issue. Outside of that, I am quite happy with sound quality. For the price I paid, this thing puts out some serious bass. You will need to install the LG ThinQ app in order to adjust the subwoofer. Once you do that, get ready to shake the house. I have this in my office and it gets plenty loud. For the $100 sale price, it was an easy recommendation. At regular price, you may want to try a step up. Overall, I can mostly recommend this soundbar. It has a few quirks that I hope are fixed with future patches. However, it functions otherwise how I expected.

Purchased this soundbar/subwoofer for my mom. It's easy to use and sounds great. She doesn't need to be technically savvy to understand how to change sound settings on it, which is great for her. Her TV room is small and the sound output is clear and perfectly directional so she doesn't have to use a ton of volume to hear it. She loves the background sounds she never heard before using just her TV sound output and has a more immersive experience watching her favorite shows and sporting events. I highly recommend the LG 2.1 soundbar and subwoofer set up! The quality and price aligned well for this purchase.

This LG s40t soundbar with a wireless subwoofer gas works flawlessly with my older LG webOS TV and integrated well via HDMI connection to the eARC port which allows me to use the larger, oroginal TV remote solely. I am most pleased with the automatic connection to the wireless subwoofer and a rear-mounted LED status light that glows red when the TV is off and turns green when on to show it has automatically connected.

Works well with 65" LG tv. Remote is small and minor, you have to use the app to really adjust sound qualities. Setup was quite simple.

This Television sound is great,The voice is clear and supports Bluetooth, which is really the best I have ever used.

Easy to use, connect and great sound. It was a gift and the person loved it.

This sound bar is just enough for what we need! It’s very clear and the subwoofer is small but very might. This has changed the game on how I see and hear the movies and music! You can feel the bass from the movies and the music! I be Jammin and chilling in my house y'all! Go on and get you one!

I like these speakers, as they've been a big upgrade over using my TV speakers but they constantly disconnect for no reason and it's always annoying. Outside of that, they're very nice to have, great quality and get pretty loud which is nice

I installed it in my bedroom have the sub on the side of my bed. Sounds amazing. Nice sound quality amd vibration.

I usually heard LG soundbars aren't that good but I decided to take a chance on this one. Sounds absolutely amazing for only a little over a hundred bucks. Great for small to medium sized rooms and pairs very well with my 48" A2 OLED.

For the price, the performance is excellent. Looks great, sounds awesome, easy setup and easy to use app.

Won't blow you away, but better than the TV speakers and bass response is decent. Just a simple plug-n-play setup via bluetooth, and also makes a good footstool for kids.

everything fine, but when i bought open box item, it comes without adapter… sad.

Excellent soundbar. I loved it, it sounds pretty good. It adapts perfectly to taste and sounds perfect

Love it!!! Nice sound. Thinking to get another one for Christmas gift for a family member! Price was also amazing!!!! I recommend this to people.

The color and the depth of movies, TV shows or what ever you watch are amazing. The background of production just becomes alive with the OLED. And extremely easy to set-up, The TV walks you through it.

Feels like you’re in a movie theatre, but can also just be sound enhancing. Whatever your personal preference is

Great, well balanced sub and sound bar. Marries well with the tv and xfinity remote.
