Never heard of an AC that increases the temp in energy saver mode. How does that maintain the desired temp? Why not turn on and off to save energy and regulate temperature? And one of the Noisiest AC’s over ever owned. Disappointed

Hi, Deborah. Thank you for taking the time to share your review regarding the LG Air Conditioner (LW8024R). We understand the importance of efficient cooling and accurate room temperature management. We are committed to helping you optimize your unit's performance. Using Energy Saver mode in window air conditioners can clarify fan behavior and lower noise levels. The fan runs every 3 minutes to check room temperature. If it's warm before the compressor restarts, the display may show this temporary reading until cooling resumes. To keep a steady temperature without fan delays, switch from Energy Saver to Cool Mode. Install the window unit with a slight downward slope (1/4 to 1/2 inch) for drainage. To minimize noise, use foam insulation tape around loose window sashes, brackets, or side panels that may vibrate. I think I am more patient than most. But...three strikes...and you're OUT! I have bought three LG window "paper weights". Not a good one in the bunch! One 8000 btu and two 12,000 btus.....none will cool. Excuse me...but isnt that their sole purpose???? Ridiculous waste of money...and installation time.

Hi, David. Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your LG Air Conditioner (LW8024R) model. We completely understand that a reliable air conditioner is essential for staying comfortable, and we are fully committed to helping you find a resolution so your space cools down properly. If a window unit turns on but doesn't cool, it may be due to airflow issues or incorrect settings. (1) Ensure the air filter is clean, as a clogged filter restricts airflow. Also, (2) confirm the unit is set to "Cool" mode, not "Fan" or "Eco," (3) and that the temperature is lower than the room's. Clearing debris from the unit's outdoor back side can significantly enhance cooling efficiency. For more guidance, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpQBq2v8_5Q. We want to make sure your home stays comfortable and that your units work flawlessly. It cools the area well for awhile then starts having issues. No matter how many times its cleaned and the filter is cleaned. I think these things are designed to break every year.

Hi, Marcy. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the LG Air Conditioner (LW8024R) model. We understand your concern about a noisy air conditioner which can affect your comfort, especially when trying to rest. We aim to provide reliable, high-quality products and ensure a smooth experience.
To reduce noise, check if it's on an even surface; use a bubble level to ensure it's flat and adjust the feet if necessary. Also, ensure the hose is properly installed and not kinked, as this can contribute to noise. Don’t forget to clean or replace clogged filters to improve airflow.
