A: Yes, the griddle is removable, the burner is oval shaped and is 9" long & 3" wide. I have used the griddle however to use it w/o griddle your pan would have to be big enough to cover flame. The griddle is the size of the entire top of the stove.

Q: Is the sliding rack in the lower oven adjustable up/down or is it fixed in place?
A: The bottom oven racks do adjust but top oven I can’t get to adjust even though it looks like you have that option.
