I'm fairly tech-savvy but want to make this review simple. The picture on this TV is fantastic. I couldn't imagine needing it any brighter as it would hurt your eyes. Even in a bright room this is more than bright enough. Sound quality is really good too for a TV. I did purchase a low end sound bar however as I like a little more bass. The smart functions and user interface are very friendly and easy to navigate. The only draw back that I can think of is that it could use another HDMI input (or two). You can get HDMI splitters/switches though if necessary. I really enjoy this TV by LG and would strongly recommend it to anyone.

The LG 65UH7700-UB 4K UHD LED SMART TV is highly rated on Consumer Reports and other user review sites. Great value and extraordinarily feature rich product. Picture clarity is stellar.

prior to bringing it home, the sales associate advised that a (pricey) 4k hdmi cable would be needed in order to receive the picture quality that was seen on tv models at store since most cable providers would not have a device compatible with a 4k therefore i purchased the hdmi cable. later i contacted my provider to find out if it was true, it was. my provider did recommend exchanging my current box for a more advanced one, (picture quality remained the same). contacted manufacturer sufficed to say, did not need pricey cable either therefore returned it. manufacturer recommended purchasing device (4k BlueRay), Amazon Prime or Netflix to achieve quality, if i wanted. In the end, the quality is great especially when watching something current. also purchased 4k Netflix to better enjoy my new toy! **Don't fret, appears delicate to the touch (at corners of tv when placed on console) a little wobbly **

Great TV with awesome picture and superb sound, everything about it is great. I researched a bunch of TV and decided on this one, the magic is probably in the top 5 features of this particular TV.

Upgraded from a Samsung 55" LED model UN60EH6003F for better gaming with the new PS4 Pro. The 4K quality is so clear and vibrant. This television has changed the way we are gaming and watching movies. Also we love that it syncs to our LG sound bar. We are EXTREMELY happy with our purchase.

I have only had the tv for a few days. For me the magic remote and the webOS3.0 are the nicest features. The webos 3.0 is very snappy and very much like the webos 2.0 with a refreshed look. You have all of the usual smart features like netflix. I do wish LG would have the Plex app but you can still view plex movies through the videos and pictures via DLNA. I think the picture is great and remember to turn off the energy saving features otherwise the picture gets to dark. I don't use the sound on the tv as I have it hooked up to a sound system. I don't use the wifi on the tv either as I hard wire it in. The way my room sits there are some very sharp side views and the TV picture still looks good.

The picture quality on this TV is simply outstanding. Even watching a soccer match, there is no discernible motion blur on the movement of the ball. The WebOS 3.0 integration is fantastic. But the reason I didn't give the TV 5 stars is the remote. This remote is so darn close to being perfect that it hurts. The tragic flaw in the remote is so very painful. The TV remote makes it very easy to integrate other devices like a satellite receiver, Apple TV etc and it even programs the remote to control these. Awesome. Until you actually try to watch TV. Eventually you will want to rewind or fast forward your content. There is a play/pause button on the remote, but there is no FF or Rew buttons. Same goes for the Guide button that has become ubiquitous on DVRs. In order to access this buttons you have to bring up the on screen remote and point at this buttons on the screen. So what used to be a press of a button is now several frustrating button presses. But there is a lag in the on screen buttons so you are always rewinding or fast forwarding too far. So excellent TV, horrible design decisions on what is a nearly perfect remote.

I settled on this TV after returning two other TVs (Sony XBR65-X850D and Samsung UN65KS8500). Black levels were terrible on Sony (in a dark room) with many hints of light leak, and, colors were very unnatural and tons of judder on Samsung. No matter how much I played with the settings, I couldn't fix those TVs to my liking. This TV was the cheapest among the three I tried but I am happy I gave this TV a try. Besides the silver bezel, I love almost everything about this TV. Local dimming allowed me to have a better black level than the Sony I returned and motion is clearer/better than the Samsung I returned; however, Sony had the best/clearest motion. WebOS is much more intuitive than Google Play TV and Samsung's Tizen OS. Navigating around the menu is very easy and fluid. Setting up the TV was very easy as well. Remote is the most loved thing about this TV. The remote has WII like feature where you can wave the remote in the air to control the pointer. This makes it very easy to select items or type on the screen. Display is amazing. You will have to tweak it a little bit. Others may not agree with me but I think it is better than the Samsung I returned. Sound is great for built-in speakers but I have a soundbar attached to the TV so that is a non-issue. While this TV is not as good as OLED offerings from LG, it is a good buy for the price I paid for it.

Well let me tell you this ,this one has a picture worthy of a high end price tag , I'm still drooLing for the picture , my goodness sports or racing , movies , 1080 p blu ray or 4k blu ray doe not have one blur , the 240 hertz motion rate is acting so smooth , i have examined every inch and pixel and I can't find one that is bad , my dad has a Vizio 4k UHD and this one makes that one look like its sick with Ebola virus , he will buy one of these to , thats how much we all love this , the WEB OS 3.0 is the fastest I'v ever seen of any device download ,stream or whatever , the remote has a pointer in it thats lnfared that is amazing , it has so many picture settings my picture looks so good I'm gonna have to charge company to be in the same room as this jewel , I'm in love and I'm always that guy that has all the latest gadgets and I got 65inch and I'm so happy, I don't see how you can get a better picture than what the 7700 series is pushing but I have no choice but to go a series up because I have a Huge movie theater room - Man Cave and I want a 80 or bigger ,and if anybody gives this a bad review it had to been dropped off truck or something or they are using like a hdmi cable that is cheap 18Gbps not a 27Gbps , LOOK NO MORE YOU HAVE FOUND BEST 4K ON MARKET HANDS DOWN , enough to help you i hope , oh yeah , go ahead and buy you some good 27 Gbps HDMI CABLES .

For a 65 inch 4K smartv 240 hertz which is actually 120hz is great for viewing sports and the 4K on Netflix looks great. The apps load up quick, magic remote is fancy and easy to set up tv with it. Well spent 1200 dollars at Best Buy. I recommend to everyone for that price range. The sound is amazing, very deep bass.

Overall the picture looks outstanding. When the screen is black you can still see the backlight a little bit, but as soon as a picture comes on it disappears . I was debating whether to get to samsung which I already have but there was a little lag in motion with the Samsung. The LG is very smooth...no regrets!

Got the TV during Black Friday sales. Set up before Christmas. Still Exploring all the features. Using streaming services to get 4K Content as CATV just does not deliver it. Now for the TV. Real good picture. Nice remote with pointer to move around the Smart TV features and switch between sources. Have both antenna, Cable box via HDMI, Tried WiFi streaming but my router not up to it so I connected Ethernet via PowerLine adapter and getting good non-buffering video. Good picture even with lots of motion. No blurring and good black screens but moving mouse pointer shows sections of screen brightness. Wish the USB/Bluetooth Keyboard would work with some of the apps as screen typing sucks but from what I have read the app developers don't plan on updating it. The Sound was a little less than expected but may be the placement and size of the room so I grabbed a 5.1 sound bar and that improved the experience. May look to full home theater tuner to improve that.

This TV is great, it has many cool features and the picture (as stated many other places) is supposedly very good. I noticed on my TV that when panning across scenes with skies or a fairly bright color - you can see that the image is not consistent and there appear to be vertical "lines" that look almost like dirt that stay fixed while the image moves. This is probably what RTINGS referred to as image consistency, and it is definitely noticable. I haven't been bothered enough to return the television, and everything else looks great, but it is worth noting. Another downside to this TV is there seems to be no way to get it to tell you what its current resolution is - especially when streaming video online. The TV is very thin, sleek and looks great on the wall. The remote (and magic part) is surprisingly awesome. I have several $300 harmony remotes and still find myself using the remote that came with this TV.
