The TV is what you'd expect from a premium LG TV. It's got the latest OS with all the latest standards. 8K looks stunning even if just viewing it on YouTube. The real issue I found is that the IPS panel used in this has extremely distracting IPS glow from most angles off center. It's most noticeable in dark scenes where blooming is present and makes the IPS glow worse. I think the backlight tunning could have been refined a bit more (hopefully it gets patched?) since the glow is quite bad in dark scenes even compared to other TVs. Might be a limitation of IPS as a panel in such a size. Regardless, for the price, it's hard to argue that it isn't a great value TV. So it's clear, all my gripes are in HDR, but SDR looks incredible with zero issues.
