This tv is great! I own a couple of LG C3s: a 55” in my office and a 77” in my living room. This B5 83” was specifically for the lounge / game room. I wanted the picture immersion for movies and games. I was going back and forth between the C series (higher tier also in 83”) or a Hisense U8QG in 85”. On the display at the store the B5 in 83” looked dimmer than the C and G but for the price of $2k it was a steal. Also when in the store with all the lighting they have the brightest tv will always outshine the darker TVs. The Hisense being a uled was definitely brighter than all of the LG OLEDs and the blacks were very impressive. Side by side in the store the line up was LG G5 or Hisense U8QG at the top then C5 then B5. I still went with the B5: my logic was my lounge / game room would never be as lit as the Best Buy floors and there would not be any other TVs right next to it to compare it to (lol). They delivered the TV on a Tuesday, I mounted it on the same day; it was the middle of a sunny day…I went to Jennifer Gala’s YouTube page and played some 1000 nits and 2000 nits HDR content and I was blown away! I watched F1 on AppleTV and John Wick 4 the next to last scene when he looked at the sunrise and I must say I was truly impressed! That B5 from LG is TRULY a hidden gem!

Put all your worries aside about brightness. The B5 OLED Is bright enough! I exchanged a Sony 77" OLED for this and I'm completely glad I did! The size of a 83" OLED In my room has absolutely blown me away! Incredible Immersion of an Image that has me so excited to turn on this TV, The HDR feom youtube Is such a treat to watch, I'm just In awe. I tried some gaming and OMG I'm speachless how great It looks. And I love the back marble style look of the panel, looks so good, and how thin the screen Is just wow. I could praise this TV for days... Just Buy It.

Bright, flat and full of features. Awesome for a large dark space.

How much black is too much black? This is a dark TV. It's not all bad though. With patience and paying attention to how you manipulate the settings you can eventually wind up with a fantastic picture. Your major battle is to actually get rid of some of the black that LG OLED TVs are famous for. You can spend a lot of time investigating the best settings, and what each of the settings actually do to the overall picture and learn that for each detail you adjust you affect two or more others. I have a toss up room. Half dark, half light. You wont find any help if you have one also. But I accidentally found a sweet spot and it's been working for me for a week now. The little used Sports mode gives the brightest picture and with some tweaks offers up black blacks and great colors with fantastic brightness. All the other settings sans Vivid just didn't brighten up enough or the overall picture quality was dull and or washed out. I was about to return the TV until the Sports mode discovery. That may not work for you but give yourself time to work with it, reset when you need to, do small incremental settings adjustments and eventually you will accidentally hit a sweet spot too.

This is a fantastic looking TV for night-time watching. If used in a mixed-environment, it is highly reflective and not very bright. This is the best entry into the large-size OLED scene at 83", which are priced over double for higher LG models. I bought for a living room, and had to return for the C5. As long as you're considering the environment, this is a fantastic deal, especially with Black Friday sales. The picture is still bright, and likely for many people wouldn't be a concern. I would still recommend this TV given the excellent price in comparison to their C and G lineup series.

Wow! It's like having a movie theatre at home. The colors are amazing. The blacks are deep and make everything pop. It's truly visually stunning. A perfect TV to pair with a gaming console or for movie night!

I own many oled TVs and monitors. It’s tough to choose anything else after going oled. This tv is beautiful. It’s big but nothing ginormous and it’s hard to beat for the price. Ps5 games look amazing and 4k blu rays are even more of an experience now.

Really love this tv! It’s lightweight and the picture on it is amazing!!! Really blew me out of the water! It’s one thing to see it on the store but when you get it home and see it in your living room wow!!!

I’ve been a loyal Samsung TV enthusiast for as long as I can remember, so switching brands felt like a major leap. However, after a deep dive with the tech experts at Best Buy, I decided to take their advice and go with an LG. I have to say, I am beyond impressed. When you factor in the price point, the value is simply unbeatable; the picture quality is incredibly sharp, and the color accuracy is stunning right out of the box. While there is a slight learning curve to navigating the LG webOS interface compared to what I’m used to, it’s a small trade-off. For a device at this price, you really can’t complain—it’s a fantastic upgrade.

excellent picture quality, zero motion blur - setup is a media room so I cannot speak to light and viewing angles but highly recommend the OLED lineup.

Very impressive so far. Lifelike picture, great detail with beautiful colors. The only thing to be cognizant of is reflection from lights when there is a dark scene.

Great general use TV that is best for a darker room, but fine for the living room also. Great OLED panel. Not the flagship LG TV but its great on-sale and any family should be very happy with it on movie night and game day. Videophiles and hardcore gamers will look to higher models.

This is a good tv which was on sale during black friday so a good deal worth buying . also paying with best buy credit card helps with points and some money back overall, display and sound are very impressive

First, the packaging is smart and comprehensive. Setup is relatively straightforward; mostly the picture and audio quality are exception. Would recommend for a large space w/o reservation.
