Customer Ratings & Reviews

I’ve been using the LG 9.0 Cu. Ft. Stackable Smart Gas Dryer for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The large capacity is perfect for handling bulky loads like comforters and towels, and it dries clothes quickly and evenly every time. I also love the smart capabilities. I can control the dryer remotely with the LG ThinQ app, which is super convenient for starting, stopping, or monitoring cycles when I'm not home. It also sends helpful notifications, like when a cycle is finished or when maintenance (like cleaning the filter) is needed. Overall, this dryer is an excellent investment for anyone looking for efficiency, convenience, and high-tech features. It handles large loads with ease and offers a premium drying experience.

Found this beauty at an amazing price at the Best Buy outlet. LOVE the decision to convert to a gas dryer. Dries fast and efficiently. Steam function is great. Capacity is huge! Great for a family.

This dryer is one of the best dryers I have ever purchased in my life. The fact that I can dry my king size comforter in this machine and it comes out perfect. Every time is amazing. I also really love the steam function on this, and I love that it will tell you that your cycle has finished

We ordered both dryer and washer of this model plus the stands at the end of November 2023 and received all on March 19th 2024. Supply chain disruption issue? Once delivered, our 13 yo washer & dryer were taken out and the new units installed without an issue. The manuals included have been helpful to choose what setting to choose. We wish there was a “set your setting option” but after much use we have learned to not to put off by the title of the setting to apply to what clothes washed or to be dried. The tub capacity of each has met our expectations. Plus, a good looking set. Highly recommended!

I like it that it can handle large loads and even California king bedspread. The power button though is very sensitive, with just movements it can turn on and off the machine.

We’ve had our washer for less than a month but so far I’ve noticed that it’s the perfect size, easy to use, and it’s not to loud.

Huge capacity dryer with all the typical bells and whistles in this price range. Size does matter... particularly when drying king size bedding. And it's stackable with the matching washer.

Love this Dryer! very good product, love the add on features with the App

Great machine so far it gets the job done. I just pot a Cal King conforter and it washes it with ease.

I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The 9.0 cu. ft. capacity is a game changer — it easily handles oversized loads, bedding, and bulky items that used to take multiple cycles in my old dryer. Despite its size, it runs impressively quiet and efficient, and clothes come out perfectly dry every time. The steam function is excellent for reducing wrinkles and refreshing clothes without having to rewash them, saving both time and energy. The AI-powered drying sensors actually adjust the cycle to the specific load, which prevents over-drying and keeps fabrics in better condition. On the tech side, the smart features are seamless. The LG ThinQ app lets me start or monitor cycles remotely, sends alerts when a load is done, and even offers maintenance reminders. It’s surprisingly convenient, especially on busy days. The Black Steel finish looks stunning and modern, and it pairs beautifully with other LG appliances. It’s not just functional but also elevates the look of the laundry room. Overall, this dryer checks every box: massive capacity, intelligent features, energy efficiency, and a premium design. If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line dryer that makes laundry easier and more efficient, this is it.

Door was damaged, No original packaging, manuals, or accessories. Customer service is atrocious and won't work with me.

Works perfect!! Steam fuction is awesome for quick sanitation or for very wrinkled clothes. I bought the matching washer a year ago and very satisfied with LG’s product. This dryer is huge inside and can easily fit large loads or king size bedding. The app feature is awesome as it lets you download preset dryer setting and monitor the status of the dryer.

Excellent performance so far. Quality is on point. Clothes aren’t shrinking. And the capacity is impressive. Love it.

Big loads., Dries good., Looks nice. So far so good.,

Does an excellent job of drying without damaging fabrics, and the app is handy for receiving notifications when loads are finished. Like it's companion washing machine, I only have two gripes with the machine itself. One is that many of the cycles are only available through the app. The other is that the door feels kind of flimsy, and I'm concerned about future breakage. We'll see though. Ask me about the delivery process from Best Buy though. Absolutely horrible. Delays, broken website with misleading information, an installation contractor with a vehicle not large enough to haul away both the old washer and dryer at the same time (which required a separate visit, and a bunch of bad communication). As I said in my review of the washer, I'll never buy another major appliance through Best Buy that I can't transport and install myself.

So far so good. We LOVE the huge 9 cu ft capacity of this dryer. It handles a king size comforter/bedding with ease. We’ve not tried any of the steam functions yet. It has a bunch of pre set cycles, plus the option of downloading one additional cycle of your choosing. The clam shell lint filter design is unique, and we anticipate there will never be stray lint that manages to get onto the edge of the filter slot or into the duct. We’ve never had a “fancy” WiFi appliance, and didn’t think we needed one, but I’ll confess having the app notification when the cycle is done and reminders to clean lent filter every 10 cycles is handy because our unit is in the basement. Best Buy’s 60 day price match guarantee saved us another $50 as it went on sale cheaper shortly after we purchased it. (We also used price match to save $200 more on a recent refrigerator purchase). So keep your eyes peeled for Best Buy price drops, or competitors with a lower price, on the exact same model. We opted to add the 5 year extended warranty because it was a very reasonable price compared to what repairs could potentially cost down the road.

[Employee of bestbuy] Really attractive and spacious. Honestly a bit surprised with how big it is!

Nice dryer, not sure why the design team has you take the whole dryer apart to convert to LP. Has to be an easier way. Also did not come with the LP jet, had to procure separately. They include 7 jets for a stove but an 8 dollar LP jet for a dryer is not included?

LG Dryer first think I like big capacity plus I also like how quite working with you can track all data in your phone even with energy use show inside the phone. also motor vibration is nothing I had setup on my second floor, but I don't hear any noise on my main floor.

Large size dryer, great for king size comforters with plenty extra room for more. The dryer is very efficient. I love the wireless connection with my cell phone and Thin Q app alerting me, when the dryer is done. The dryer looks really well built and appealing. I'm glad I didn't settle for the 7.6 cu. ft. dryer.
