  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 450 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • BTU Cooling Rating: 9500 british thermal units (The amount of BTUs (British Thermal Units) per hour the unit uses to cool the air, also known as cooling capacity. For best results, the capacity of the unit should be based on the size of the area it is intended to cool. For example, a 5,000 BTU capacity works optimally for a 150 square foot room. In general, an oversized unit will not effectively remove humidity, and an undersized unit will not cool the space efficiently.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 4
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 4
    • Airflow Rate: 280 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: false (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: false (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Energy Efficiency Ratio: 13.8 (The ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) at a given operating point. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 13.8 (The standard used to measure energy efficiency in window and room air conditioners by the Department of Energy (DOE) as of June of 2014. CEER measures the ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) in standby mode and while the unit is operating. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • App Compatible: true (The product can be connected to a program or software application on a mobile device, which then receives collected data from the product.)
    • Window Mounting Kit Included: true

Q: How long can you keep the unit running? For example, 12 hours? 24 hours?

A: The unit can run continuously unless in Energy Saver Mode. In this mode the compressor and fan turn off when the set temperature is achieved. Approximately every 3 minutes the fan turns on to allow the unit sensor to accurately determine if more cooling is needed. The LED lights turns on to clean the filter after 250 hours of operation. ^Daphane

Q: 1. Will this collect water? Do I need to drain the water often? 2. Can I place this near my fireplace to get the hot air or do I need it placed by the window?

A: It will collect water if you leave the included drain plug on. I leave it off and let the water drip. It may cost you a little more in electric bill because the the water collected makes the compressor more efficient. I just don't like the sound of water slushing like a washing machine when the AC is on, if you let the water collect. Also a lot of water attracts mosquitoes making a nest in your AC.

Q: What is a dual inverter?

A: Dual inverter allows this unit to be extra quiet compared to older units

Q: HOW ABOUT WEIGHT SHOULD BE IN SPECS FOR ALL ACs

    A: The Net Weight is 63 lbs. ^Daphane https://www.lg.com/us/support/products/documents/LW1019IVSM.pdf

Q: My window is 39" wide. Is there an additional kit to fill in the gaps?

A: It fits windows that are 36” wide I think you would have to figure out how to reduce the 3 inches with a 2x3 or something else. It’s a great air onditioner I love it.

    Q: what is fan speed

A: The fan speed is where the fan blower motor operates to create the speed of the wind inside of the room where is going to be located in which accompanies 3 speeds, low, medium and high. ~Anthony

Q: Can this be mounted within a wall sleeve?

A: Not recommended.Unless you rig it yourself. fashioning a sleeve
