The LG Gram is just about everything I need in a daily driver laptop. It's light, it has plenty of real estate to work with, and just about all the features and bells and whistles that I enjoy—and feel should come standard—in laptops. I have several computers in my home that serve specific purposes: one for gaming, one for streaming, and once they're in their places, I like to leave them there as I don't like repositioning. That being said, I like to have just a standard, move-around, go-anywhere laptop that I can use for general surfing and whatever else may come. The Gram fits that bill perfectly. The first point I like to bring up is the size and weight. Once you actually put your hands on this, it's hard to believe how light it actually is. It's lighter than many of the 14-inch laptops I've had in the past. Adding to that a giant 17-inch screen—which is my preference—and I'm moving around and enjoying content with none of the restrictions I would have with separate laptops that provide the same functions. My past 17-inch laptops were much too heavy to just carry around, and the 14-inch laptops, while great for travel, were often lacking in content presentation on screen. You're getting it all here. On the note of the build—this is very sturdy. I am rough with all of my possessions, meaning I use them as they’re intended to be used, and I don't baby anything. I have no worry just tossing this in my backpack and going wherever I need to go. It is built well and nothing feels cheap. There are plenty of inputs for all your devices—both USB-A and USB-C, including a DisplayPort. A great little detail worth pointing out is that the charging cable is actually a USB-C cable. No weird proprietary adapter that you have to carry around. Yes, you still need the power brick, but the power brick can actually serve another purpose when it's not charging your laptop—instead of having an odd-shaped adapter plug. Inside is an RTX 5050. At first glance, you might be turned away by that, but using DLSS 4 and image generation, the gaming on this machine is pretty good. And it's been able to handle any of the editing tasks I've thrown at it with little problem. The internal camera is great, the speakers are Dolby-enhanced and sound fantastic, and there's a backlit keyboard with adjustable brightness, along with lots of little bells and whistles that LG puts into their in-system software. There are a few small caveats that I have to point out. The first is something I'm starting to see more and more in systems: no dedicated Ethernet port. I'm assuming with Wi-Fi 7, many manufacturers are just cutting that option out and saying you can get a port with an adapter. I would like to have it built in, but it's not a big issue for me. Next is the battery. They say somewhere around 12 hours—I'm not sure how they got that number. Maybe if you run it on low power mode with just light streaming, you could eke that out, but I'm not getting anywhere near that. I will say I am getting somewhere between 5–7 hours, which is still better than any in-house laptop that I currently have. The last is just a wishlist item, as it was never promised: a touchscreen. It would fit so well here, but I understand that because of the size and form factor, it’s not an option. That would have been the true icing on the cake. Those are the negatives I have for this system. The price point is up there, but having a combination laptop that provides all the benefits of a smaller laptop and all the benefits of a larger laptop in one uniform, compact, durable unit should come at a premium price—so that I understand. Would I recommend this to anyone? Absolutely. As a mobile laptop for work, play, and everything else, this is a definite contender.

After using this computer for a little bit, I can say that it really does do a good job being a nice computer while also being very light weight and portable. Setup was fairly standard for a Windows setup. Nothing crazy or new. There wasn't a ton of bloatware or anything to uninstall but I did have to immediately uninstall McAfee. LG's included apps are pretty light weight as well. There's an app for updating and maintenance. A link/app for their streaming TV service which was a bit surprising. Then there's this Glance app that uses the camera to do some pretty neat things. I'm not sure if it'll be a crazy game changer for everyone but some of the features are nice. It basically augments your basic mouse usage by adding in what you're looking at on the screen to figure out what you might want to do. Like snapping windows between different monitors by glancing at them. Locking windows when you aren't at the computer (or not paying attention long enough) or notifying you if someone is snooping in the background. It also notifies you of wellness check things like 20-20-20 and posture checks if you get too close to the screen. One thing that seems really useful is an overlay notification if it sees you speaking while your microphone is muted. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do since it feels like one of those gimmicky apps that gets thrown in. Build quality of the laptop is quite good. It feels sturdy enough go being so lightweight and thin. The trackpad is nice and large and feels nice to use. The keyboard is full sized and feels ok to type on. It's not a mechanical keyboard or anything so you might feel some finger strain if that's what you're used to but it works well enough. There's also a numpad which is always nice to have. Port-wise, you'll find two USB-A ports on the right side along with a 3.5mm jack for audio (the speakers on this machine are actually pretty ok for a thin machine). Then on the left side, you have two USB-C ports and an HDMI port for an external monitor. The biggest complaint I have here is just the lack of USB-C on the right side so you have the option of charging the computer from either side of the computer. The screen looks very good. It's a good size for a lightweight option. Colors feel good and the variable 144hz is greatly appreciated. Sadly the camera doesn't seem very great at the Windows Hello that I've seen from other computers. It works about 65% of the time. But the option is there. I think it has to do with lighting for the most part. Processing power is pretty good on the CPU side. I don't see this as a gaming machine so that's the important part. If you have real work to get done, this should be pretty capable. Even though it's not a gaming machine, there is an RTX 5050 in here so it's able to do some gaming. I tested out the Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark and on low raytracing settings, I got 24fps. Not great and things looked a little jerky. Turning on 2x frame generation got the average up to 35fps but I still saw some dips below 30. 3x frame gen got the frame rate to stay above 30 with an average of 41. All of the raytracing options still looked a little jerky at times but using a simple high setting got me a pretty stable 35fps without the jerkiness. You're not going to be running games on ultra max settings with this but to be able to run Cyberpunk on some great looking presets already, you shouldn't have any issues playing most games as long as you tweak some settings for them. Bottom line on this machine is that it's really well made and nice to use and carry around. I have other gaming laptops and powerful machines but I really think the portability of this one is going to win out and become the laptop I carry around with me to get work done on the go just because of how light and easy to carry it is. If you're in the market for something portable and light but also powerful enough to do most anything you throw at it, this might be a good one to look into.

This laptop is really powerful and lightweight. The battery life is great while browsing the web or watching videos. When playing games on the RTX 5050 you'll want to have it plugged in or the battery drains quickly. I also love the 17 inch screen, it's just the right size for me. Oh, and it's quiet but does get a little warm on the bottom after a while.

I’ve used the LG Gram Pro for a few days now, and it’s hands-down the best blend of portability and power I’ve found in a 16" laptop. Pros: • Featherweight build: You won’t believe how light this thing is until you pick it up. • OLED display: Stunning visuals with deep blacks and vibrant colors — perfect for color grading. • Performance: Intel Core Ultra 7 + 32GB RAM = smooth sailing through DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite, and browser-heavy workflows. • Battery life: Easily gets me through a full workday with mixed use. • Port selection: No dongles needed — HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, microSD all included. Cons: • Speakers: Decent, but not studio-grade. I use headphones for serious audio work. • Build feel: Magnesium alloy is light but doesn’t scream premium — a trade-off I’m fine with. Bottom Line: If you’re a creator who values mobility without sacrificing performance, the LG Gram Pro is a game-changer. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, fast, and built for real work. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for an extremely light 17-inch laptop with a high-end CPU as well as a dedicated GPU, that is very portable and can handle most games, content/work related apps or just everyday processing needs – this laptop checks all those boxes and more. The unit is very sleek in black at .63 height x 14.9 width x 10.4 inches deep and weighs in at a svelte 3.26 lbs. – which is almost a full pound lighter than my Asus - ROG Zephyrus G16 laptop. Case does pick up smudges though. It comes with 100 w 5-foot power cord with small inline block that has a USB-C connection to laptop. A 6-foot 6-inch USB-C charging cable is also provided. The IPS SDR8-bit screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 144Hz (variable from 31 – 144) response looks good and has little to no reflection. A very thin bezel helps weight but is a tad flexible. Opens to about 130 degrees. At 400 nits HDR only on streaming. Being 17 inches the keyboard is “almost” full size. It has separate numeric keys on the right but lacks separate area for arrow and function keys. The keys have a nice feel but aren’t what I would call soft touch. It is backlite but light bleeds through bottom of the keys a little – there are no color options. The large, centered touchpad while very tactile is set back about ¾ inch which took a little getting used to. The base is also a tad flexible. Battery life is great. Looping a movie, and it ran for 10 hrs. and had 6% left. This was with wifi and Bluetooth both on but brightness down 2 notches. It took 90 minutes to charge back to 95%. No issues with running Minercraft (oldest grandson playing while I watched) and after 1 hour of intensive play battery was at 75%. I played Assetto Corsa and Automobilista 2 (plugged in) using best performance power mode and had no stuttering, backgrounds looked nice etc. The laptop did get a little warm on the very back edge, but it was not hot. Also, the fans were very quiet. I ran benchmarks - see screen shots. Intel Core Ultra 9 285H Series 2 15th gen with 16 cores. I believe this processor allows for better power efficiency. It also has NPU and supports PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory. It has built in MS AI (Copilot) as well as LG AI software. 1TB 4x4 SSD. It looks to be a SK Hynix model hfs001tej9x101n. It checked out fast using CrystalDiskMark. There may be an unused slot for 2nd drive as there is a 2TB (2 x 1TB) option. 32GB LPDDR5X at 8400 MHz. Nivida GeForce RTX 5050 GPU with 8GB memory. Left side connections 1 HDMI 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 connections – 40Gbps with power delivery and supports 5k monitors and charging. Easily connected to 4k monitor. Right side connections 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen connection – 10Gbps or maybe 5(?). Also easily connected to 4k monitor. 1 combination Headphone/Mic jack Bluetooth 5.4 Wireless is 802.11be (wi-fi 7). I have wi-fi 7 mesh and connected using 802.11be with no issues. Speakers – Not sure of wattage but 2 x 2W is standard for laptops. They are down firing on either side of the laptop which sounds good on hard desk (decent bass). But they get a tad muffled if sitting on lap or softer surface. There is quite a bit of LG related software that I am still going through. Some such as AI or LG Gram for external device connection/functions seem worthy of a look. 1-year warranty. I am disappointed it doesn’t come with Thunderbolt 5.0. Charging on both sides would be nice Larger 5.0 SSD. SD card reader OLED screen or at least higher nits for true HDR This laptop is about balance. It is very light and has good performance and a large screen. But to accomplish this there are compromises on components, etc. This is my 1st LG laptop and overall, I think it does a lot of things well and would be a worthy traveling companion and recommend.

WOW it is super !!! but do not put it on something what can close bottom ventilation... it can overhit ...except this supper... main quality it is very lite ... and quality of screen in 4k video

I had to upgrade my home computer and switched to a laptop. I'm thrilled with the performance, screen resolution, screen size and sound. It's so lightweight. I got a great deal on an open box purchase and couldn't be happier with my choice.

I got this laptop for a phenomenally good price, and everything about it is fantastic except the build quality. Applying slight pressure to the body can cause creaking noises and it feels generally weak or maybe a bit cheap. The weight is absolutely insane, it's hard to believe that even the battery could weigh so little much less the entire laptop. The thiness is also extremely cool as well

Very good computer for my wifes daily use. We are an older couple and learning how to manage and setting up the computer takes a little bit of time.

We now have 73 of these laptops. The best laptop out there right now.
