Great for any use, Apple user go for FHD on it.
It's a nice monitor. the fact of having its own control is just lovely, no dongles or weird buttons to work your way around it. Sound is decent, poor bass but to just monitor the speakers come in handy. Picture quality is beautiful too, you won't really notice any pixels if working on a MacBook or other brands, beat to use in FHD when using a MB Pro. Bought mine as an open box unit and it is just perfect.

I Would Recommend! Reasonable Price! 4K Resolution
Regarding this question, since everyone's situation is different, the answer is different for everyone. Let me honestly talk about my feelings and reflections after taking the STAT 198 course. My recent purchase of the LG monitor, which I bought at a $120 discount, has been a positive experience. I would give this 4K monitor a 4/5 rating. The resolution is good, and the color is vibrant. Considering the LG brand and its 4K resolution with such a reasonable price, it's great for students or people who use it for education or office purposes. But there is one issue with the monitor. When it's connected to a Macbook as an extended monitor, its resolution varies without notification. Specifically, the monitor provides a 4K option the first time when it's connected to a Mac. There is no problem if the Macbook is on. However, when your MacBook's display is off or in sleeping mode, then when you turn the Macbook on again, the LG monitor would decrease its resolution to 1080P automatically. Besides, its clarity becomes much worse. However, when you use the remote to switch the input resources on the monitor to another channel and then change it back to the original input channel, its resolution will return to normal. I don't know what caused such an issue.

A Wonderful Monitor
I purchased this monitor to use it as a second display for my M3 iMac. It works wonderfully. I also have my Apple TV connected to. It does have a great picture when streaming. I like this monitor so much that I wanna get a second one. I pulled my iMac out of the picture and have the M4 Mac mini connected to both of them as a dual display set up once again great picture, quality and I have had no issues with this configuration. They do come with preinstalled software from LG. You can install your favorite streaming apps straight to the monitor once again the screen quality and the picture quality are great. The only complaint I have is that with both monitors on one remote controls both monitors so you have to kind of get a feel for that, but that’s really nothing major at all. The Mac mini is connected to each monitor with the USB-C thunderbolt cables. I strongly recommend these monitors.

Great monitor for all uses.
Great monitor for photo editing and general use. Great colors and I like the additional ports in the back. Only downside, it doesn’t raise and lower, but I use it on a monitor stand.

4k on a Budget
Overall im happy with my purchase, I got it on sale for $250 but I wouldve probably still bought it at $350. The refresh rate is low but not super noticeable when just browsing the web and whatnot. The only issue I have is that some things on the screen are hard to see at a normal viewing distance, but it would strain my eyes to sit any closer. Yeah you can can mess with your settings and turn up the zoom ratio but thats not the point. You should have the expectation of having a good experience at the manufacturers recommended settings. Other than that i think its a good deal for the price, especially on sale.
