We wanted a quiet machine since our laundry room is right off our bedroom in our new house.

You will not just pay for the dryer and any of the basic parts you need for installation, but also for any delicate piece of clothes, especially the ones that you like... We bought it in May of 2018. It dries fine, but you will notice after a while that the lint filter will stop fitting flushed in its slot. The lint will slowly build up at the bottom of the slot and push the filter up, making the edges of the filter to stick out. I've lost 2 tops with thin straps to the dryer. The design team at LG really hit this one out of the park. And on top of it, LG won't do anything about it.... because lets face it, what can they do. One solution that I found on the LG website under the filter replacement page, is to file the filter at the bottom so that it fits lower, especially because even after removing the lint from the vent, it seem the filter has changed shape due to the heat. Save yourself some money. Don't buy this one, and do your research on any other dryer you plan to buy, especially on the filter.... P.S. The pic of the filter sitting in the slot is after I took the lint out, It was worse. And the picture of the lint is the build up of about 6 or 7 month....

Great. Works as advertised, have no complaints, the display is bright, and the unit is quiet.

This is the second LG washer and dryer set I have purchased and they are impressing me more as time goes on! I only bought a new set because I included my originals in the sale of my home, I had used them for about 5 years, never an issue always a great clean!

Most of the comments on this dryer seem to focus on its ease of use, attractive design, large capacity and useful features. And that is all true, in my experience. Perhaps you would also be interested to know that the steam feature not only works well but that it can lower your dry cleaning bill. If you are wearing business casual shirts, for instance, use the steam feature, pull the clothing out just as soon as it is done, hang it up to finish drying (it will still be rather wet) and then count the dollars you are saving. I still dry clean suits or and more fragile clothing items. But after using this feature for a few weeks now, I am no longer making every-week trips to the dry cleaner.
