I started PC Gaming about 5 years ago on a 1080p 60hz Display, then jumped to 1080p 144hz and was blown away by the fluidity. My next upgrade was an IPS LG 27GP850 1440p 180hz and again I was impressed by extra detail that 1440p provided. I recently upgraded my GPU and decided it's time for another monitor upgrade, I went back and fourth between 1440p OLED or 4K OLED, being an FPS snob I chose this LG 27GS95QE 1440P/240hz. Overall it has been a Great Experience, the colors pop like never before, 240hz is extra smooth, the menu is easy to understand with plenty of customization, build quality it top notch as you would expect from LG and lastly the remote and the rear lighting is a nice touch not having to fumble around for the power button when I'm done gaming.

My previous monitor experiences include an Acer gaming display, a Dell curved 32”, and ViewSonic 24’ with various display types, LCD in the early 2000’s TN in 2010’s and VA in late 2015-ish. Stepping up to this LG model in 2024 has showed me companies are producing quality displays designed specifically for PC users that mainly game. This is my first OLED but not my first display. Firstly, the matte coating on this screen should be noted really as a semi matte coating, why you may ask, let me explain. Simply put, although most You Tuber’s will show us in reviews the obvious matte coating, the point they fail to share is, if you get close enough to the screen with a light source, for example, a smart phones flashlight, you will see the reflection of the phone on the screen which is a clear indication of a semi matte coating and sitting closer to this screen because it’s 27’ allows the colors to pop, reduces glare from behind and the matte coating allows for the display to not be hindered in anyway by overhead lights or lights from sources behind the screen which results in less of a need in increasing brightness, it’s a beautiful thing because my VA panel, would noticeably need extra brightness once the lights in my room were turned on. I was pleasantly surprised by the ability of this screen to not need that intervention which is a real upgrade in viewing performnance. The display has auto running features that pixel clean for 1 minute after a certain amount of usage time and image clean for 10 minutes after 4 hours. With the image cleaning feature, I’ve heard horror stories were users complained of other branded displays running for much longer, thinking 1 hour. I much prefer the shorter time to run on this display and you will too. There is pixel shift too, mode 1 is the shortest amount of time between shifting and it’s never noticed by me. I’m 35 hours into usage, there is a built in counter that tracks this and the display has been awesome using it. I was going to go with 32”, 4K, Dell but decided, since my last display was 32” VA from Dell, I’d rather downgrade to 27”, sit closer and take less performance hit to gaming since this is 1440P. With the new Nvidia App, this display, and i9 12900kf and the rtx 2060 super, I’m in bliss while playing and there’s nothing ignorant about this version of bliss. There are many more positive things to say about this display but I will leave it at, the sale price goes as low as $649.99, regularly 899.99 and it is definitely worth both prices but better to pay the lesser in the current economy. I highly recommend this LG Ultra Display! I added some comparison pictures from the Dell VA 32’ and the OLED on the right.

This panel has excellent color accuracy, vibrant colors and deep inky blacks. The 240hz refresh rate feels buttery smooth and the hdr mode is breathtaking in the games that it supports. At this price point, this is the best monitor you can get for your money, 10/10 would recommend to any serious gamer or people who enjoy an exceptional and premium viewing experience. The added remote is another awesome feature I wish more monitors had.

This is the version with the brighter screen setting. the blacks are really nice and i got it on sale. The only complaint i have is of course the matte screen but honestly doesnt bother me. LG tvs and monitors are top of the line. however this being a OLED monitor you can have burn in on the screen. i would set a screen saver or sleep timer on it when you step away from it for a long period of time.

Fantastic monitor, super smooth, vibrant, and extreme clarity with none of that weird overlocking stuff The remote makes it super easy to control the monitor and the presets are beautiful HDR is good, but with it only reaching so many nits, it’s very dark compared to my iPhone 16 pro max watching HDR content, like way way darker

I give it five stars because it’s labeled as a gaming monitor and that’s exactly what it’s great at but pretty much anything else productivity wise. It’s a bit hard on the eyes to look at. Don’t expect to have this as a productivity/gaming monitor. It is really only great at one of the two. One of the most beautiful monitors I’ve ever seen.

The LG UltraGear OLED 240Hz is incredible. The picture quality is stunning with deep blacks and vibrant colors, and the 240Hz refresh rate makes everything unbelievably smooth. Games feel fast and responsive with zero ghosting, and HDR looks fantastic. If you want top-tier performance and a big upgrade in both speed and image quality, this monitor is absolutely worth buying.

absolutely loved this monitor-it is matte so look up reviews if you are ok with a less vibrant picture i ended up getting a rog with deep blacks and i will never go back to matte unless you have vrr you should have no problems with flicker since its dc dimmed anyway too!

Hands down the absolute best gaming monitor I have ever played on in 36 years. I got it a couple months ago and was immediately blown away with how smooth everything looked on my PC. I have a high end PC and play pretty much everything on maxed out graphics 1440p resolution and this monitor blows my old screens out of the water. When i first powered on my PC with it looked so clear and smooth it gave a weird but good sensation to my eyes that gradually diminished as i got used to the screen.

Absolutely excellent monitor. The colors pop and the 240hz is an absolute game changer. I've never had smoother gameplay or a better looking picture.

My First Oled gaming Monitor purchase… Currently i own a LG C1 48 inch tv and another LG 165 IPS gaming monitor . I would say this. The speed and how fast this monitor response with the 3070 gaming rig i have its pretty epic..My games in warzone solos have been amazing.i mean definitely you need to have skills for the game but the monitor helps alot. The Colors with the super DEEP BLACKS .. yup its a winner in my book. I have been using this monitor for over a month .Monitor comes with cool remote as well.. Also the Rgb on the back is real cool . Love the Design of the monitor .. mainly games i play , Warzone, Xdefiant, Destiny 2, Rocket league . Monitor super smooth … got the monitor on price match deal $729 2 weeks later best but dropped the price for a few days when i bought at original price . $899. If you can get on one of those deals less then $800. Take it.

In a fairly dark room it's outstanding. I'm typically gonna run it at 50% for casual use but when gaming I will max it and use HDR if it benefits the content. It's still not a good HDR panel overall, but that's fine. You can't have everything all in one panel. The blacks are perfectly #FFFFFF. I cant differentiate them from the bezel. Its what I always dreamed of since CRT displays went away. Even better in fact. I'm gonna take precautions to protect the OLED. My 5 year old phone is an OLED and its still perfect. I really think people's fears of burn-in are unfounded these days. They are just build better.

This is definitely the best monitor I've used. The OLED display has been great for gaming, work, and any media. The 240hz refresh rate is great for gaming too. The build quality feels heavy and premium, and a lot of I/O ports too. The only thing I wish it had was a USB-C port, but that's hardly a problem considering everything else you get

This monitor is the best i play competitive fps mainly for warzone and wow the clarity and performance is insane at 240hz this is the best.

OLED Gaming is AMAZING. I own an LG 48C3 OLED for my TV and Have my PS5 connected to it and the colors with that gaming console are AMAZING!!!. So after I rebuilt my PC I decided to try A New Screen as my PC was able to handle it and the colors are AMAZING. Playing World of Warships the Water the detail of the Ships.

Excellent monitor. This monitor makes 1440p look like 4k. The monitor comes with a remote that has made it very easy to change the monitor settings (brightness and gamemode). By far the best monitor that i have ever gotten.

Amazing monitor! My first OLED monitor, everything just looks so crisp! Wpuld highly recommend! I actually like the remote it comes with, just makes it easier.

Amazing Oled panel monitor. 240hz performs beautifully in helldivers and dragon dogma 2. Installing it easy and monitor brings a remote for settings to toggle

The image is so crisp and clear and the black pops out way more than any other computer I have had. 10/10 would buy it again.
