Pros: - Immersion: 45" display with an 800r Curve provides an incredible viewing experience. The screen size may be shocking at first, but when you get used to it, you can't go back. It's also great for productivity. With the 21:9 aspect ratio this is a great way to reduce a dual monitor setup down to a single monitor solution. I've never been a fan of curved monitors before, but at this size the 800r curve seems necessary to bring the edges within your peripherals. I was actually surprised by how quickly I got used to it and how much I fell in love with it, both for gaming and work. - Display quality: 5K2K resolution for clear and sharp images and text. OLED brings excellent color and color accuracy, perfect black levels with infinite contrast, and near instantaneous pixel response times. 165hz refresh rate at the full resolution also brings smooth motion for gaming. - Dual Mode: If you need more performance, you can enable dual mode which will drop the resolution down to a WFHD 1080p resolution but doubles the refresh rate to 330hz. This makes a noticeable difference in motion clarity and responsiveness with reduced latency in fast-pace competitive games. - Design: LG has done a great job designing their gaming monitors. They are clean and minimalistic with thin bezels and no chin or logos on the front, little rgb on the back, and a stand that is flat, sturdy, and doesn't take up a lot of desk space. - Build-in Speakers: The built in 2x 10-watt speakers actually sound really good. They are loud and have good clarity to them. Cons: - DisplayPort 2.1: The DP 2.1 port isn't the full UHBR20 that's supposed to support 80 GB/s. For such an expensive and premium product, this was a miss by LG. - Refresh Rate: Although hitting 165hz at the full 5K2K resolution would be difficult, even for a high-end PC, it would have been nice to have this bumped up to 240Hz like many premium 4K monitors. - No Tandem: Don't get me wrong, the MLA+ WOLED panel on this monitor is great. Colors look amazing and the brightness in HDR is good (for a monitor), but 2025 was the year we started seeing Tandem WOLEDS which produce a wider color range while having better color volume and higher peak brightness. Unfortunately, it didn't make it into this model.

I’ve owned a lot of monitors over the years, including high-end thousand dollar plus monitors. Of course, technology advances every year, but this is one of the best monitors I’ve ever owned. Although it is priced in the upper tier, you definitely do get quality for what you pay for if you’re gonna spend $3000 or roughly on a high-end gaming PC this is the monitor that you want. Some cheaper monitors can claim to be gaming monitors because they have high hertz and are 1440p but honestly a monitor that’s at least 144 Hz to 165 like this one at high resolution is all that you really need. Although it has the 2K feature to go 300 Hz in case you ever feel that you needed it. Excellent picture quality, plus they seem to go on sale often. I purchased mine as an open box so there was a little anxiety about what type of quality I would get or if it was damaged. With the exception of a few dog hairs everything was perfect perfectly fine. The monitor was clean and came with all parts. If you’re going to own a high-end gaming PC, the cheap gaming monitors buy you a nice high-quality Monitor. Although it did temporarily make my desk a mess moving things around as you can see in the photo! This Monitor is huge!

I have been in absolute shock and awe ever since purchasing this monitor. Pros: Uhh wide, like take up almost my whole desk wide. Plus the best part I love, is how tall the screen still is in comparison to the width and competitor monitors. Crisp screen, with many options on managing it. Dark blacks. Cons: Honestly can’t think of anything to be upset about with this monitor. I use this for gaming and work, it has an auto input switch feature so I don’t have to toggle between my work station and personal computer. Just auto switches. The screen supports many different resolutions, that perfectly sync with any game I’ve played this far. I’m a big DCS flight sim fan, and this thing has changed my life. I’ve had 1 buddy pick up an older version already, and another waiting to pick this one up also. Certainly one to scoop up if given the opportunity.

Perfect monitor for multitasking and gaming, with the 5k option the graphics are just incredible. The size and curve on it makes you immerse more on the games and the Hz are not bad for a 5k quality. I ended up returning it because I want the AI version but it is not available yet on the best buy closer to me, but I would 100% recommend it. On the left is my 27” oled for comparison

The 5K2K resolution looks beautiful for immersive games with sharp details, vibrant colors, and deep OLED contrast, while the 330Hz Dual Mode feels extremely fast and smooth for competitive gaming. The monitor is also very easy to use, with simple menus and great features like G-SYNC compatibility and automatic OLED screen cleaning when the display goes to sleep, which helps keep the panel protected. Overall, it delivers a premium experience for both visual quality and high-performance gaming.

I’ve been using this LG UltraGear 45" OLED for a while now, and it is easily one of the most impressive monitors I’ve ever owned. The OLED panel produces perfect blacks and vibrant colors that make every game look cinematic. The standout feature for me is the dual-mode capability. When I want immersion for flight simulation, running 5K at 165Hz provides incredible detail and sharpness. However, having the ability to switch to 330Hz is a total game-changer for both tactical shooters and sports titles like EA Sports FC (FIFA). The motion is incredibly fluid, and you don't get any of the ghosting or blur you see on slower screens when the ball is moving fast or when you're making quick turns. A fair warning to buyers: You absolutely need a very high-end PC to make this monitor push to its limits. If you're planning to use this mainly with a PS5 or Xbox, you aren't going to hit what this monitor is actually supposed to do—consoles are capped at 120Hz and don't support the 5K resolution, so you'd be leaving about half the monitor's power on the table. But if you have a top-tier PC to drive it, this is the perfect centerpiece for a pro-level setup. It's the best of both worlds for sims, sports, and fast-paced shooters.

This monitor is absolutely impressive. The OLED panel delivers deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast, making everything look sharp and immersive. The dual-mode feature is a huge advantage 5K for productivity and content creation, and 330Hz FHD for ultra-smooth gaming. The size and curvature are perfect for multitasking, replacing a dual-monitor setup with ease. G-Sync and FreeSync work flawlessly with no tearing or stuttering. Build quality feels premium, setup was straightforward, and overall performance exceeds expectations. Expensive, but worth every dollar if you want top-tier performance for both work and gaming. Highly recommended.

I don’t know normally leave reviews, but this monitor calls for it. Easily the most expensive screen I’ve ever used and it shows. The additional height on the monitor is fantastic, and I was genuinely overwhelmed during the first couple days of use. It fills up your entire field of vision and the colors/ resolution is sublime. The monitor controls are also easy to understand and the oled screen is of course important for the black level. While it is expensive I don’t think I can ever go back to a standard monitor. I’d buy this over the Odyssey any day of the week.

A very beautiful-looking monitor, black is actually very black, and the 5K2K resolution looks amazing. Just make sure that your PC is able to handle it. The 360 Hz feature is awesome, but just remember, you have to lower your resolution. I still enjoy this monitor overall; it's a very good competitor for the Samsung G8 32 4K.

Big And Beautiful. Switched from the Alienware 32" Oled. I was worried with less PPI it would suck but nope. Colors are still perfect and screen space is perfect for games and workflow. And or multi tasking. I lowkey want the 39" 4th Gen Oled however once you go bigger I can't image losing 6 inches! (Pause)

Workflow is easier and much faster due to better screen real estate management at 21:9 making work more fun and productive. A quality GPU is required to run this monitor, which I have set at native 5K2K 165Hz, which makes this monitor easy on the eyes and everything is so fluid. Importantly, LG went wide and kept the height where other ultra wide monitors reduce height. The height of this monitor is very close to a 40" 16:9 SmartTV, which is what I had before. I simply needed 21:9 ratio and now it seems I have a dual monitor setup for when my work demands it. I was skeptical of the 800R and wasn't sure if I would like it... I love it !!! The 800R is well designed and is perfect for this monitor and the fonts, webpages, and applications displayed are nothing short of brilliant. This is my desktop monitor and I sit close and feel immersed in everything. I use for my work and I do not engage in any game play but I hear it is amazing in that arena as well and was designed for full game immersion. For others that need to know if this investment is worth it for work, I say absolutely YES and the move from my 40" QLED Smart TV to this monitor is day and night difference for work. I never thought a monitor would make such a difference until I got the right one being a great marvel of engineering.

I love it, it is my first OLED, but it is phenomenal and the text clarity isn't a problem! I use this work and productivity, as well as video games The colors, refresh rate, and response time are great! The curve was initially a little overwhelming, but after 1-2 sessions it feels great! I couldn't imagine going back to my old monitor.

I've been using this monitor for about a month and it's absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation I had and they were already high. The OLED display is a huge upgrade from my qled and I. I could not recommend that part of this monitor more. The ultrawide display means that I can see all kinds of details and for story-based games. That's amazing. It does take some extra horsepower to have a monitor like this though, so make sure that you are computer take some extra horsepower to have a monitor like this though so make sure that your computer can support it

I would give this monitor 4.5 stars if possible, but it is missing just enough to not justify 5 stars. The display is great, and the HDR is excellent. Additionally, the 800R curvature is not as severe at this size as I was expecting it to be. However, this monitor has two problems for me. First, the monitor sits too high on the included stand. The lowest possible setting still leaves the bottom of the chin about 3.5 inches off the desk. This feels just a little too high for my usual setup, but it is not a deal breaker. Second, the 165Hz refresh is simply insufficient for a monitor in this price range. I ran a Samsung Odyssey OLED 4K and an Alienware AW3225QF prior to this monitor, and the drop from 240Hz to 165Hz is significantly more noticeable than I expected. This is really disappointing since there are many esports and older games that top-tier GPUs such as the 4090/5090 are easily capable of pushing at or above the 240Hz level, or even just above 165Hz. I would absolutely buy this monitor again, but I will also be jumping to the newer models as soon as the 2nd-gen, smaller 240Hz models release.

Great monitor,I purchased it then returned it for 5k2k version. then quickly realized how bad it killed my performance. and also the 5K 2K version did not have the onboard web OS operating system which some people don’t like, but I love the features of it. So I returned that monitor and bought the 34 40 x 14 40 again. And very pleased with the monitor and the performance of my PC now the resolution is not a problem at all as long as you have about 3 feet to back off the monitor. It’s super crisp and clear. I would highly recommend this monitor. if you go with the 5K 2K version be sure you have an awesome graphics card or your PC performance will take a major hit, I have a 5070 TI and it killed my performance so a 5080 or 5090 super would probably be awesome for that monitor.

The image detail on this monitor is outstanding—sharp, vibrant, and perfect for creative or professional work. The picture-in-picture feature is incredibly useful for multitasking, and the high refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive. While the 800R curve is quite aggressive, the height of the display helps minimize distortion, making it a lot more comfortable to use than I expected. Overall, the quality and features easily justify the price.

I recently upgraded to this LG UltraGear 45" OLED, and it has completely redefined my setup. As someone who values a "functional command center" approach to my workspace, I needed something that performed well but also kept my desk looking deliberate and organized. Visuals & Resolution: The jump to OLED is massive. The "inky" blacks are incredible. When a scene is supposed to be dark, it is genuinely black, not washed-out gray. But the real game-changer here is the resolution. Unlike most ultrawides that stick to 1440p, this is a "True 4K" (5K2K) experience. You get that immersive ultrawide width without sacrificing the vertical pixel density, making text crisp for work and open-world games look absolutely stunning. Design & Cable Management: One of my favorite underrated features is the stand design. As you can see in my photo, the back of the stand allows you to channel your cables directly through the center column. It keeps the power and display cables tight and hidden, preventing that "spaghetti" mess behind the monitor. It fits perfectly with a clean, wire-free desk aesthetic. Verdict: If you are a solo gamer looking for deep immersion or just need a high-res workspace that doesn't compromise on picture quality, this is the one to get. It’s an investment, but the visual fidelity and build quality are worth the premium.

This has to be the best monitor I have seen. I have played star citizen on it and it is shocking the quality and detail of this display. I thought the curve would be too aggressive but it’s perfect.

I use this monitor almost exclusively for gaming and it is an absolute beast. With its 5K2K resolution, the 140 PPI pixel density makes games look incredibly crisp. The curved screen completely wraps around your field of view, making the widescreen format extremely immersive. The HDR performance is stellar—the peak brightness and colors are awesome, making highlights pop and dark areas look incredibly rich. If you want the ultimate gaming display, this UltraGear monitor is unbeatable.
