I wasn't sure I would like the LG because I have had another brand of phone for many years. I loved the LGV30. I am still learning the phone, but have had no problems. Its a great phone and I would buy it again.

This is a good product, but the price is a little higher.

First off, this phone is really well designed and has the feel of a premium phone. It should, because it has a premium price. I am the owner of the LG V20, and I bought then returned the LG V30 for two main reasons. First, the 6" 18:9 screen feels smaller than the 5.7" 16:9 screen (it may be smaller in total screen area, I don't know offhand). This was very apparent while gaming - Yes, there is more game on the screen in landscape mode (for some games), but it is smaller and harder to see due to the resolution. Other games don't fill the screen (Mario Run, for instance) during gameplay. Also, my particular V30 seemed to have a bit of a dead spot on the touchscreen in the lower righthand corner, requiring multiple taps to register in that area. The upgrades from the V20 to the V30 are many, but I wish they had kept the screen ratio, not only for my own personal preference, but to differentiate it more from the G6. I hope the major phone designers (Samsung, LG, HTC, etc) return to a 16:9 option for at least one model of their phones. That all being said and my personal opinion aside, the phone is a great design and will make the majority of owners very happy to own it. Video, texting, call quality are all great. Speaker is a bit lower quality than the V20. Screen quality is gorgeous, and the phone is really light (almost too light). The screen has a slight curve on the outer edges. Also, the screen is rounded in the corners of the phone instead of squared off (an odd thing but easy enough to get used to). I would get the UAG case for this phone, to protect it well. I would say if you are into the sleekness of your phone and want a larger screen with a more compact shape, then this is the phone for you. I actually prefer a bit of the bulkiness and having some edges for grip on my phone. Call me old school, I guess!

I knew this was a great phone before I made purchase, because I did a ton of research on it before hand. But after downloading the manual and thoroughly studying it, I found the V30 exceeds my expectations all around.
