Very easy to setup and use. Just plug-in the power and the ethernet cables; and you're ready to go. Nothing to program etc. My router only has four ethernet ports and I needed more. The Linksys switch was the perfect solution.

I have had a Linksys BEFSR41 four port Ethernet hub for 20+ years. I finally upgraded my modem from 75mb/sec to 500mb/sec. The old Linksys hub slowed my speeds. Upgraded to this newer model and now I can run my stereo amplifier, tv, Xbox Series X, laptop & security cameras (4) all at once without and lag from speed. Wifi for convenience but I choose wired for speed.

Linksys model No. SE3008 is a well made 8 port switch all metal construction even at the cable inputs. Being made of metal not only give it a quality build, it blocks out EMI interference even where the cable plugs in the metal input shield ,its shielded there. My Gigabit network runs great with this switch. I all so use there 5 port model of the same make. Always use quality CAT 6 cables shielded one are best. Do your homework on the cable's you use and make sure every cable in your network is the same. If cat6 use all cat6.

Recently upgraded from a Netgear 5 port switch. Extremely happy with this purchase. Solid construction. All connections running through this switch remain fast. Have not experienced any issues as of yet. FYI picture does not match product. The power adapter is at front while Ethernet connections are in rear. No Blue cover with lights.

Product has worked exactly as expected, haven’t had any problems with it. I do highly advise also price matching the product

Works as written, ability to add extra wired devices, transfer data speeds of gig, no ability to manage single connection. Pic shows half ports with a blue light, internet connection, and a light by the other cable but not all cables. This shows the internet is not being used by all only 1 device. This is because the other devices are off but if they were on then this would mean an issue. That about does it for features. Basic, well built and basic functions at decent speed.

after I purchased this product I found the style and model number printed on the switch are difference as description. According to the official site, I brought the switch is LGS108. If anyone want to purchase this model's switch I recommend to check clearly before make to order.

14 SEP 2022. I have both a SE3005V2 and a SE3008V2. Both are as advertised. They work and they were simple plug and play. My connection speeds are no different when comparing the speed when connected to one of these switches and the speed when connected directly to the AT&T Gateway device. I am paying for 300 Mbps and I routinely get both upload and download speeds in the 370 Mbps range.

I did a lot more research than one should probably have to when buying a simple switch. Out of all the ones at this price range, this one stood out as being superior both in build quality and reliability to the competition. A lot of other companies have switched to using a plastic case and some of the switches run hot, causing premature failures. This is metal and overall a solid product so far. The 8 port version is a much better deal than the 5 port one and there might even be some slight technical differences that make it worth paying a few bucks more. Very happy with this purchase and at a no-brained this price that Best Buy offered it for.

This device has the right amount of ports and the footprint is still reasonable small. Works great on my network and is very fast. This switch performs well and is reliable.

This review is for the 8 port switch. High quality materials, professional appearance. I'm using at home/small home business office environment but it would be equally at home in an office office. When first connected, I saw 10% of the speeds I was expecting on my primary device and there is no way for the user to configure QOS or priorities. Not sure why this made a difference, but here's what I did: disconnected and turned off all network devices. Power cycled the switch. Connected my internet connection in the first port. My primary desktop connected to the second port. My bitcoin miner connected to port 8. I will have other computers and miners connected down the road but for now that's all. Powered everything back on and WOW! Ping times and download/upload speeds are actually FASTER than before I installed the switch. I haven't experimented with Skype yet but "regular" VOIP calls using Ekiga and SFLphone are just as clear and reliable as they've always been. If you've read my other reviews on Amazon, you know I'm really stingy with my stars but this switch is absolutely awesome. Well done, Linksys!
