If the scene with the fighter jet gets taken out of this movie, it would be the best Die Hard movie outside of the first one.

Die Hard is considered by many film buffs as the greatest action movie ever made. There is just something about the character of John McClane that attracts movie goers. Is it his spunky attitude or is it the fact that he is known for having really bad days? It's both. There have been action franchises that have run out of steam in the past, but all three Die Hard films were great fun. Usually I'm not a fan of dipping into the well one too many times, but if Batman Begins and Casino Royale were able to re-spark the magic then why not give Die Hard another go?

I definitely like the Die Hard films with a sidekick i.e. Samuel Jackson was the greatest ever lol This flick carries on that trend with Justin Long being a geek / hacker that has never seen ANY violence except for the violence in the video games he plays. Willis carries him through to the end, toughening him up a little along the way. The chemistry with his daughter is cute. The role of the "WIZARD" is bar none awesome lol Decent action buddy flick all the way.

Not as bad as the 4th [to be released, aka Ep1] Star Wars. Things blow up. This whole franchise is so much easier to accept if you keep this thought in your mind: John McClane is related to the Tick. Is it ever established in either franchise? Nope. But the evidence is clear. So McClane is the Yogi Bear of action. Maybe he's not smarter, but he's certainly more resistant to massive bodily harm, than the average bear. He can pilot aircraft with no training, but as a penalty, his character is no good with women. He has nearly Wolverine like healing abilities, even to the point of ageing at a slower rate than most humans, it seems. Also, it seems John can spontaneously produce grown offspring, complete with backstories, at will. Maybe in Die Hard 25, it will be revealed that the McClanes were part of a weird experiment, or some sort of evolved human, like the X-Men. Either way, stuff blows up in this film. Other rec'd viewing includes The Last Boy Scout, Bad Boys, and any other film referenced in Hot Fuzz. Also, Hot Fuzz. BluRay is prettier than DVD, and probably sounds better too.

Not the best in the series, but it's still a good time, popcorn action thriller. Bruce Willis once again proves how much of bada*** he is as John McClain. Justin Long is a great addition as a cyber hacker and Timothy Olyphaunt does an amazing job as the main antagonist. Some action scenes go a little overboard but it is still a fun ride. Definitely recommend

I might be biased because we are hard core fans of Die Hard, but having said that, this movie has tons of action and it even makes you chuckle in several parts. Is McClaine almost indestructible? You better believe it! This is not a movie to ponder how realistic the whole story is but if you are looking for entertainment, look no further!

Well what do you say about classic movies, they kind of speak for themselves, such as this one does for the past few decades. I got the first two die hards for christmas and i am putting my collection together. I will say that this copy has more special features and the dvd more that the copy that was released earlier.

Die Hard franchise has always delivered big and this 4th in the series does not disappoint. Though the PG13 rating does take away from the typical language we became used to in the others, the action is still excellent and even more explosive I'm HD. Highly recommend this version to any Die Hard fans.

Die Hard returned with this movie after a long hiatus - and in my opinion is one of the best of the series. Bruce Willis and Justin Long might seem to make an unlikely pair, but it really works. Much better than the latest entry and rivals some of the earlier films from years ago....

One of the best Diehard movies with over the top performances by Bruce Willis, Tim Olyphant and Maggie Q. The plot was well thought and not too far fetched but the action sequences with the lively dialogue made this such an entertaining film.

I love Bruce Willis and have all his DVDs.I love all the action in this film. Also this was my first DVD blue ray. My blue ray player is fantastic and makes all the action crisp and clear. If you like action then this is the film for you.

Overall, an enjoyable film. I was a little disappointed by the lack of special features. There is an interesting sit-down interview with Kevin Smith and Bruce Willis, but more special features would have made this a better purchase.

This was a nice modern twist for Die Hard. I'll admit, you're not going to top the first Die Hard with a sequel. But this took Die Hard in a different direction. Great fun!

I'm a big fan of the Die Hard series and this one I would recommend for all the other fans. A lot of action and the usual comedy that is added to stir up the pot.
