I ended up returning this for a clicky version. Normally I don't like loud mechanical keyboards so that's why I bought this first. But the clicky isn't that bad. The clicky is the one in all the best buy displays if you want to try out how loud it is. But if you want silent then this is up your alley. It takes a bit of getting use to a low profile if you're moving from a traditional gaming keyboard. But once I got the hang of it I seem to be typing a lot faster. It's well built. The keyboard I was replacing was a Logitech G105 which I had to put double sided velcro on the bottom to keep it in place. Didn't have to with the G-815, it's heavy enough. My only complain aside from Logitech not selling any spare parts like keycaps, is the keycaps. Logitech really dropped the ball with having unlit secondary key symbols. So I've ordered some kailh keycaps from China for 16 bucks that do have full backlight capable keycaps. Will just take a tad of sanding to make them fit this since Logitech has modded the Kailh switches when making their GL switches. But they are close enough to make it a simple DIY project. All in all I'm really happy with this. I wish I had the chance to try out the tactile and that the displays at bestbuy didn't still have the Romer switches out instead of the GL, but you can't have everything in life.

What drew me to this keyboard was the years of experience I've had with Logitech hardware, and the success I've had with it. I managed to test the keyboard out in the store before COVID, and I loved the feel of the keys, the feel of keyboard chassis, the look of the keyboard chassis, and the vibrant RGB's. I wasn't in need of a new keyboard, but when Best Buy had it on sale, and I had a Rewards Certificate that needed to be used, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. When I unboxed and connected the keyboard to my machine, I was quickly met with an issue of utilizing the ten key pad. I thought maybe Windows needed to install something, so I gave it some time. I rebooted the machine, and tried again and the key pad worked. However, I was then met with another problem. My machine did not receive input from the even number keys (`24680=) on the number row (not number pad). If I picked the keyboard up off the desk, the numlock light would start blinking. The backspace key would not send input, and the delete key would begin flooding characters (oddly the keys that would not send input) into any open text field. I thought it may be a software issue, so I made sure that the latest version of Logitech's G HUB was installed. The software saw they keyboard, but unfortunately the keys still did not work (however their RGBs did). With that said, I quickly boxed the keyboard back up and returned it to Best Buy. I would not have expected this result from this pricey of a keyboard. I expected more from the keyboard and was extremely disappointed. What I'm unsure of is if it was dropped during shipping which damaged it, or if it was sent from the factory damaged. I really wanted to like this and give it a more favorable review, but for the particular product I received, I'm unable to do so. I'm not sure if I will give it another go anytime soon, or move on to something else (I've also been eyeing the Steelseries).

Hi TigerJoe, thank you for your feedback! You should not be having any of these issues, and the G815 is backed by a 2-year limited hardware warranty. For support, please refer to: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039334714-Getting-Started-G815 - Will, Logitech G.

Great keyboard for my taste, I do enjoy the linear switches as I need it for quick responses in FPS games. The RGB light is great and adjustable, the keyboard is sturdy. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. Here are some issues other reviewers pointed out that I didn't find to be a problem for me: - Making more typing mistakes with linear. (I had no issues typing, I do own a Mac keyboard and an ergonomic Logitech keyboard). - Symbols, special characters don't light up. (I had no issues with this because the light on my screen was enough to make them visible). The software is buggy/doesn't work (The G hub software worked for my machine with no issues, I also didn't find it hard to understand, Logitech keeps updating the software). - Price ( I know... keyboards now cost what monitors used to cost a few years back, but what can we do. Decisions, decisions...what a guy should do?).

I was worried about spending so much on a keyboard and I already have a gaming rgb keyboard. I was looking for something slim and with the linear switches and wow, this keyboard is the best keyboard I have ever owned. I am glad Best Buy gave me a coupon for my Birthday and I bought this and I am so glad I did. The build and quality and the Gsync is amazing for me set up.

Very happy with this purchase. Love the feel of the mechanical keys (linear version). Lighting is quite nice -- only one compliant, on keys where there are two symbols (like number keys), only the top symbol is illuminated. Upgraded from an older Logitech gaming keyboard, and the G Hub software automatically transferred my old game profiles. Good solid feel on the frame.

At first I wasn't sure about how to feel about the linear/red switches on this keyboard, but I've come to really love it. Having the ability to plug in a USB device directly to the keyboard sounds convenient, but that requires two USB cables from the keyboard to be connected, so the illusion quickly disappears. That said, the RGB lighting is plenty bright, and the shortcut keys are really convenient, especially the integration with Discord and OBS via Logitech's G-Hub software. As a mechanical keyboard, it does get audible when you strike the keys, but I imagine it's nowhere near as loud as a clicky/blue or a tactile/brown switch (Though I haven't tired either of those, so take my word with a grain of salt). However, I still really like how this keyboard sounds. And it's great for gaming, and typing for long periods (Heck, I wrote this review on the G815 itself). I love this keyboard honestly. I will say though, if you can, I recommend trying out a demo unit if a store has it on display to see if it really is for you; Online videos and research can only get you so far.

I love this keyboard. Absolutely love it. Typing on it is a dream. In terms of typing, it's just shy of my Ducky One2. The LEDs are almost perfect. There is little to no light bleed and the color shines through clean, however there is one minor flaw. The shift characters are not illuminated. This isn't an issue if you have the keyboard in a lit area or can remember which key is % and which one is ^. So like I said... minor... but it still would have been nice to see those illuminated as well. My biggest gripe with this keyboard is software. My biggest gripe with A LOT of tech is software. I don't have the same issues with Logitech G Hub that a lot of other people have... the software itself isn't exactly bad. It's really just the fact that my g700s just isn't supported in the software. I get it... the mouse is from 2013, but it still works. It still works GREAT! Because it's not in the software, I need to have the G Hub installed AS WELL as LGS. At the end of the day, I just removed LGS and won't use the macro buttons on my mouse... which sucks. The mouse may be 7 years old, but it wasn't exactly cheap. Aside from that, I do love the keyboard. Highly recommend. Especially to those also getting a new mouse. The build quality of the keyboard is incredibly high and I expect it to last a long time. Long enough for me to complain that the new mouse software I install in 7 years isn't compatible with THIS keyboard!!

I bought this keyboard for work and some casual gaming. I really like the low profile and the materials used. One thing that is not very intuitive is the software. After many tries i was able to find out how to save profiles inside the keyboard. Overall is a great product for work and gaming

I really like build quality of the keyboard. The volume scroll wheel is handy, but I do the media buttons squishy for me, but those buttons don't used a lot so I can look over it. The USB pass through is great if you want to charge your phone or plug in another device. I'm using it for my wireless mouse receiver. Be aware that the attached cable for the keyboard is two-in-one. The end has USB for the keyboard and for the passthrough. I bought one with linear switches and like how the feel. Short and smooth presses. Some people don't like software GHUB, but I didn't find difficult to use and I didn't encounter any issues customizing how I wanted to. The only thing that could be a deal-breaker for some is that the secondary characters aren't lit up. I think this was a design compromise because of the low profile switches so the LEDs had to be placed off center.

Very premium mechanical keyboard, switched to Linear from the Clicky version, found it fit my needs a bit more with having a quieter sound.

Quality keyboard, great key feedback. It gets some thrashing from gaming but no degradation 3 months in. Very long keyboard USB cable, not sure what to do with it.

The software is great and it works perfectly without any real issues. The lighting looks good, and the added shortcut keys are really helpful. It's hard to use a match without dedicated media keys, and this adds even extra macro keys as well. The only downside would be using this after being used to a traditional mechanical keyboard. It feels more like typing on a hybrid laptop than a desktop keyboard. It's probably something to get used to, but it's not something I would recommend if you've been using a mechanical keyboard for years already.

The sturdiness of this keyboard and the nice soft matte feel is amazing.

Its been an amazing upgrade from my crappy HP keyboard i was using before. The software for the RGB is incredibly intuitive and the custom keys and profile building is nice as well. The media controls have also been very useful when im listening to music between games and stuff like that. So far, no complaints.

Great keyboard, very quiet and responsive. Got it on sale for a great price too.

Great product, very durable. Lots of colors and G-Hub is easy to use. The one issue that I'll say I have with it, as other reviews stated, the secondary characters !@#$% etc... are not backlit. I have no idea why the design team thought this was alright. If I have a bright white screen in front of me I can sort of make out the characters, other than that, they are very hard to see in low light conditions.

I highly recommend! Great value, easy to use, performed better than expectations. The keys feel SOOO good... even typing this review on THIS keyboard make me wanna ramble on. It's pricey but if you are a gamer or just love a good feelin' keyboard. Pony up and get this. You. Will. Luv. It. The software of totally awesome too... so many color options and programs

Awesome keyboard, so smooth and easy to type, the clicks from the keys are noticeable, as most gaming keyboards, but it's not over the top and obnoxious. Highly recommend this keyboard! I use it for gaming, and writing papers for school, it's perfect.
