If you're a fan of games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, you certainly won't mind having another game like this with a similar gameplay style. And by that I mean very similar. Shield controls on the left shoulder buttons, strong and light strikes on the right shoulder buttons, equipment weight that effects how fast you can roll, health/magic/stamina bars, etc. The bosses are fairly challenging, but I find some of the basic enemy mobs in this game to sometimes be tougher than anything in Souls. Pretty good, but not amazing graphics, in a slightly more fantastical style than Souls games. It's not quite as good as those games, but decent enough that it's worth having if you like that kind of game. Especially at the price this game is selling at these days as a Complete Edition.

For someone looking for a good dungeon crawler with similar atmosphere to Dark Souls but without the difficulty. Story is relatively short and the main character somewhat uninteresting but despite being indoors in dungeons most of the game the setting and atmosphere are great. Big cartooning characters and monsters that look great and solid gameplay

A tough but fun RPG. It's not as excruciatingly difficult as Dark Souls can get, although it borrows a lot of that theme. It doesn't hold your hand too much, either; while the game isn't open-world, I found myself retracing my steps quite a bit trying to find what I missed, what puzzle I had to solve, to move on to the next step. This might be a turn-off to anyone who appreciates having a clear visual goal to run toward or a list of quests to bring up, but it just makes it feel old-school to me, and I have no problem busting out actual pen and paper (gasp!) and keeping notes like I used to do for the early PC RPGs before "quest lists" were onscreen and the fun was in searching the whole gameworld, trying to decipher the next clue. (Actually, I always enjoyed the note-taking, because that's what the character would be doing if the adventure were real and in that time period, plus I feel like I get more out of a game if I'm doing more than sitting and pressing buttons all the time.) The game isn't perfect; there are framerate issues from time to time, but nothing that ruined it for me. All of the DLC is here too, although it's still DLC via an included code; it's not on-disc. If you like action RPGs and a bit of a challenge, consider picking this one up.

Lords has the pieces to be a pretty solid game, sadly none of them fit together quite right. Pros: +Visually appealing +Interesting monster designs and locations Cons: -Skill system determined at the start of the game and you're stuck with it. Spells are required regardless, even if you want to do a full melee build. -Bosses can be hard, but only because of gameplay shortcomings such as bad framerate, very low damage output making fights last too long, cumbersome dodge mechanics. -Not many areas to explore and the game does a poor job informing the player where to go next. Often you'll pull a lever on one side of the map only to have to return to the start. Expect walking around in circles a lot. -Weak story and characters. -Crafting system is terrible. You can insert runes to weapons/armor, but can't remove them unless you insert another rune into it forcing you to play a swaping game with the runes instead of just letting you remove them. Overall, play Dark Souls instead. It is a much more competent series with none of the flaws in this game. Get this for $20 or less if you're really interested.

Not with out it's issues lords of the fallen is still a decently fun time. It imitates the souls series combat but feels much heavier and slower but still very satisfying.

From the minute it started, there was severe frame rate issues and screen tearing. It was horrible!! I'm wondering how nobody else mentioned this in their reviews. I struggled to even get through the cut scenes because it was so bad. The combat felt sloppy and was hard to time hits accurately. Carrying items was ridiculous. You were allowed to carry as many items as you wanted, without limitations, if they formed a complete set. If not, you'd be over encumbered due to mismatched armor, weapons, etc. Really stupid. I barely made it through the first chapter and quit. This game should not even be mentioned with the likes of Elder Scrolls, Witcher 3, or Dark Souls. What a complete mess. Very unpolished and should never have been released as the unfinished product it was.

I'm not a fan of games like Dark Souls games, but this one is pretty good and I don't think it's as brutal in difficulty. I can't wait for a sequel.

This is a pretty good RPG action game that went unnoticed for the most part. If you're into fantasy type stories and settings, definitely give this a try. Story is a bit lacking, but the gameplay makes up for it, even if it borrows from the Souls games a little bit.

If you're in the mood for a solid action game and dark fantasy, this will do.

A great hack and slash that plays like an encumbered version of Dark Soul. If you are into the Demon/Dark souls games then this game might be just for you. Just expect it to be slower yet flashier at the same time. Apparently some of the demons, especially the first boss, went to the fancy sword swinging ballet school for the performing arts. They look absolutely ridiculous. The biggest downside is that it contains a lot of very cramped hallways that make the combat feel very restrictive. Couple that with how slow you move and roll and it can prove very challenging against certain enemies. So prepare yourself because you will die and die a lot. It's just one of those games. But for the price it's worth it. Get it.

This is another great game for your PlayStation 4 collection! Great story, great scenery, & good controll. No real complaints just an enjoyable game.

It's is no blockbuster, but is a solid game. It should give the developers a solid place to jump off from to make a sequel.

Fun combat. For those looking for an easier time. Bosses provide some wow factor.

I was skeptical at first because I never heard of the game before. I am a casual gamer who was looking for something fun and challenging to play. This game ended up being perfect. I love the action and the boss fights as well as some of the challenges with obtaining certain trophies.

The game is awesome, I just hate having to control the camera and fight at the same time. It's a hinderance. I would rather have the camera stay behind me and I can make adjustments if necessary. Not sure if there's an auto-cam option or not. Haven't looked. Game is very fun though.

I enjoyed playing this game. I like games where you get to build your characters strengths and abilities while updating armor. Once you complete it you can still keep the same character for another round making him stronger. The stage bosses are good challenges...tip, watch for the pattern

Price matched this game to Amazon and got the last copy. Amazing Graphics and gameplay to be found here. Alot of game content too. In a genre thats totally saturated I chose this one for quality and content. I recommend fans of this genre pick it up.

As i was playing this game and admiring the graphics...... i thought to myself, why can't this game be about making friends and having soap box derbies..... maybe even a bake sale to support the local community center........ then i went back to crushing my enemies like Conan!
