Lost Soul Aside first impressions: Visually this game is very pretty, and gives vibes of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 15, and Guardians of the Galaxy. But overall, the level of quality does not match up to those games. The story is nothing to write home about; it serves only as a way to loosely connect a series of battles. I guess I wasn't expecting too much from a story in a game like this. The English voice acting though is absolutely atrocious. I switched it to Japanese and it was an improvement. The characters still come off as very flat and boring. The main character is trying to be the cool guy, but unlike Cloud Strife, he has none of the layers and is just an empty vessel. The Arena voice actor is good in all languages. The combat is tight and responsive. It does take some getting used to, but there are bracelets you can equip that makes it easier. If you are looking for a game with a deep and engaging story and memorable characters, this isn't it. But if you think you would like a fast and fluid hack and slash with high quality visuals, this might be the game for you.

Action is a lot of fun, music is great, not to much freedom in roaming around , and story is ok. The dialogue is a bit cringe and probably my least favorite part of the game. I would say not terrible and i would pick it up on a discount.

I'm thankful for a number of things. One, reviewing games isn't my job, so I don't have to nit-pick whether it lives up to 9 years worth of hype or doesn't reach Naughty Dog levels of voice acting and characterization. Two, I'm not so entrenched with a single platform that I have to make up faults in exclusives on other platforms just so I can feel something. Three, by trusting my own gaming tastes and realizing that I can't map my own enjoyment to an aggregate review score, I didn't miss out on one of the best, most fun games I've played this year. From gorgeous locations, to excellent, varied combat, to one-off gameplay systems, to the well-done music (nothing that'll be a classic, but it's good) to the story (seemingly FF7-inspired, until it isn't), I loved all 25-ish hours.

If you're going into this game and you're more of a person that likes a game with a heavy driven story this isn't the game for you but where i say it does good at is the combat reminds me of final fantasy and Devil may cry I think this deserves a chance for the combat alone

Good game. Great combat mechanics. Not so great voice acting and story. I’d still give it a 7 out of 10 and have enjoyed playing it so far. I’m about 8 hrs in so far. Lot of great games coming out lately and in the near future but this one is definitely worth giving a shot if you like action type games as there is a lot of action and combat and that pretty much carries the game.

Over all I'm enjoying the game, its fun, I like the premise/lore and the visuals are nice (framerate drops occasionally). You can feel the Final Fantasy influence. I enjoy the gameplay and ability to change sword styles so fluidly. My only issues are the jittery framerate at times and the the voice acting (no offense to anyone) seems a bit dialed in for some characters.

Gameplay is great for those looking to get lost for a couple of weeks. Storyline is great and fighting styles add to the fun playability.

I was insanely excited about this game for years. I thought the combat looked nice, and started to think we might have another Stellar Blade on our hands. Within the first 20 minutes of playing, I knew I'd made a mistake. Turns out I bought an unpolished, overpriced game with sub-par controls and laughably bad voice acting. There are a few things here that show potential, but the entire game needs an overhaul. I made it around halfway through the game before I finally gave up. If you can catch it for $20, I say give it a shot. Anything over that, don't bother.

Its entertaining for wha it is. Fast pase combat, with an ok story.

i enjoyed this game but it is solidly mediocre. the combat is fine and gets more interesting the further you go, but the enemy designs are bland and they all have the same stagger bar gimmick. the story is cliche and the characters have no depth. the character designs range from generic to baffling, and they got away with not having to show facial expressions by having the majority of npcs wear some kind of mask. i did think the environments where pretty and i thought it was funny that the save point was a pastel teenager. i had fun, but only because i had the free time to waste. if you want a action-based rpg, you are better off with FF15 or FF16, which have their own issues but are at least more interesting and have their own distinct identities and more love and care put into them overall.

Another example of great indie experience bringing an action game to the badly needed game scene. Combat is fluid and story is very engaging. Download the patches to make sure you have the best experience.

The game was fun and had a lot of action. Definitely enough to keep you interested. The combat can feel a little choppy at times but overall its a game worth checking out.

Combat and graphics are cool but ehh voice acting is trash, could be better its average, good time pass nothing mind breaking

I saw this game so hyped up months before its release, so perhaps my expectations were a bit high. I took the plunge when it was on sale during Black Friday, and just recently played through the prologue and first chapter before deciding to call it quits. This game leaves a lot to be desired. It is so flat, boring, repetitive, and mundane. After playing games like God of War or even DMC, this title is nothing short of lackluster in all categories. The gameplay is mediocre, the voice acting is terrible, the world feels bare, and---most of all---I don't care about any of the characters. Someone needs to inject some life into this.

Its a ok game but i think this game could have released on the ps4 but game is good if you are interested in this type of game

easy to learn,Good battles, unqiue battles which is honestly the best part of all...it isn't stale at all 10/10 on their fight

Fun game with decent graphics. Would highly recommend when on sale for a little off normal price.

It's fair ! Not really, really, great but fair ! It's good decent to get it! I saw the trailer ,it's seems great at first but play it will be a decent game less expected! Just don't get your hopes up when you see the trailer , I recommend it to find a way by renting the game in red box if available in your area ? Watch you tube video for your experience to watch , just don't take my recommend seriously! You will see !
