About this product
Lovetempo returns with a debut full-length 'There Is A Light.' The album charts a journey from heartbreak and self-doubt into healing, connection, and self-acceptance. It is Mattie Safer's most personal and expansive work to date-a record about rediscovering your inner light and refusing to give up on love. 'There Is A Light' is about persevering through personal difficulties-heartbreak, burnout, late-night regrets,' Safer says. 'The idea that there is a truth and beauty to myself, my spirit, my love, my dreams-and that I can dig through all the noise, find it, and share it with the world.' Sonically, the album expands Lovetempo's palette. It builds on the electronic soul and 70s-inspired dance music of earlier releases but ventures into stranger, more emotionally and sonically adventurous terrain. It opens with the disco burner 'The Right Way,' setting the tone with it's plaintive cry for a love both real and true. 'Never The Same' and 'But I Do' twist club music into warped, jazzy shapes, while 'Thinking About You' and 'By Your Side' tap into the soft edges of Latin groove, heartbreak funk, and ambient soul. The title track, 'There Is A Light,' arrives as an electronic gospel anthem-spare, joyful, and defiant in it's optimism. 'I spent a long time in the wilderness after leaving The Rapture and going solo,' Safer reflects. 'I got married and divorced. I signed a record deal, only to have the tag sit on my recordings for four years before eventually dropping me. I was making all these changes-cleaning up my life, studying songwriting and vocal technique-but I wasn't getting anywhere, because my self-image hadn't caught up. I was still anxious, still talking down to myself, still putting myself in bad situations. Lovetempo was the first thing I made that I really felt 100% confident in, because it truly felt like me, bringing all my musical personalities into one pla

All For The King' was formed in 2016 by Erik Tilling and Ricard Hulteke who found each other by way of forums and discussions on Facebook where they expressed similar views on issues regarding God, the Bible, faith, the church and Christianity in general. They spoke about this and decided to meet and it was during this meeting that Erik presented some musical ideas to Ricard, who's jaw dropped when he heard the riffs that Erik had created. Ricard added melody and they decided on lyrics and recorded the three first songs; Rules of love, The old man and Never back down. After that Erik and Ricard contacted bass virtuoso extraordinaire Johan Tjernström who added the depth and heavy bass that was needed. Olof Gardestrand contributed on the first three songs with open, heavy rhythms but never decided to be in the band. In January of 2017, heavy rock drummer Richard Tonyson took over the drum throne. This is the group's second album. Album Tracks 1. The Six-Winged Seraphim 2. Let There Be Light 3. I Am He 4. The Way, Truth and Life 5. The Shelter 6. S T Patricks Prayer 7. Metal Gods 8. Light Conductor is the twilight slow-burn modular synthesis duo of Stephen Ramsay (Young Galaxy) and Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes). The pair have been kicking out these slow jams for years, in between their separate touring and producing duties, and have decided it's time to share. Sequence One is their first album a warm shimmering sonic hug of enveloping drone and hypnotic arpeggiation flowing along buoyant filter-sweeping eddies and waves. Gently immersive like a saltwater bath under a starry sky, Light Conductor make nighttime/sunrise music in widescreen high-fidelity at their vintage-equipped Breakglass Studios in Montréal, pinning the pre-amps with stately, slowly shifting synth tones, stereophonic squelches, and pink noises. The seasoned producer-engineers marinate their mixes in slow-cooked analogue glaze, balancing spacious sound-staging against sumptuous saturation, bringing these studio sensibilities to bear on this profoundly mellow, atmospheric and satisfying music of slow inexorability and simplicity. The first 333 copies of Sequence One come in strictly limited hand-numbered screen-printed LP jackets made from exquisite uncoated vellum-finish Ming Blue art-stock paperboard. Album Tracks 1. A Bright Resemblance 2. Chapel of the Snows 3. Far from the Warming Sun 4. When the Robot Hits the Water 5. Light Conductor
