I purchased this kit and an additional switch. Installation was easy and pairing to the base was simple. Setting up the PIco reports was equally simple and has worked well since my wife isn’t keen on using voice assistants. I placed the Pico remotes in convenient locations. I’m using the dimmers for flush-mount LED lights in my kitchen (see photos, 1 dim, 1 full bright) and Emerson-style LED bulbs in fixtures in my breakfast nook. The switch controls my exterior light fixtures. There are several choices to automate the on / off times. Voice control through Google Assistant and Siri (Apple HomeKit) is flawless. A little more expensive than some options but I definitely plan to add more of these soon.

I went with Caseta because of the reviews. The system is reliable and has a variety of switch types. The dimmer is perfect for the recessed lights in our vaulted ceiling. Despite user concerns about bulb types, I am having no problems using LEDs, but Caseta has a list of compatible bulbs if you want to verify what bulbs will work. What I like about Caseta: Installation was a simple, even with some wiring frustrations I had (due to my confusing wire box, NOT Lutron). I called customer service twice to verify my setup. They were extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Getting the switches to connect to my wifi and hub was extremely simple. I held down the off button until the small green lights blinked rapidly. Then I was done. The dimmer does not require a neutral wire. Our living room has neutral wires, but no other room does. I want to streamline my devices, which means that a system I can use in any room is important. Caseta dimmers offer me that option. The Caseta system integrates with SmartThings, allowing customization. I can set the lights to act however I want, given different variables. The switches use a logical setup. Some smart switches require you touch and hold buttons certain ways to dim, which seems confusing for guests. This Caseta switches are intuitive. The downsides of Caseta: A separate Caseta hub ups the cost. You must install the Lutron app to get everything set up, even if you have SmartThings or HomeKit already. Luckily, you can uninstall it as soon as the switches are connected to your smart hub. It's expensive.

These switches makes converting your existing lights into smart lights super easy! Installing them was easy. All I did was cut the power to the circuit breaker, remove the old switch and connect the Lutron Caseta switch using the included wire connectors. The app is simple and it works reliably with my HomeKit, Google and Alexa voice-activated ecosystems! The pico remotes were also super handing for converting my 3-way switches into smart ones.

I installed the Lutron Caseta myself - it was pretty simple to install as the instructions were pretty clear. I had a few questions related to the wiring and their customer support group was great. Be aware and do your research (Lutron's website or their customer support group) before connecting to LED or florescent lights. There's a compatibility issue with some. When I connected this system to my kitchen LEDs the lights dimmed to ~5% when I turned the light switch off. I called their customer support group again and they mentioned I need to try the PD-10NXD Caseta dimmer. Haven't picked that one up yet. Automation: the Caseta system is AMAZING with HomeKit!! Works great. I'm able to control my lights from anywhere in the world (you need to connect the Caseta Hub to an AppleTV gen 4 to do this - also really easy to setup)! I've even setup HomeKit automation to turn on/off lights in certain scenarios (i.e. Leaving home, sunset, morning scenes, etc). Love it! Also works great with Siri and Alexa! "Siri, turn on my living room lights to 37%." Hint: the starter set only comes with a single switch Lutron Claro wall plate. These look great on the wall (hides screws). The pic attached is the two switch Claro plate - I picked it up at a local hardware shop. I recommend using these plates as it makes it look a lot nicer. They have 1-2-3-4-5-6 switch plates.

These switches are great for older homes and homes with no neutral wires in the switch boxes. I was able to install the switch in less than 10 minutes, and set up was just as easy. It also works wonderfully with Google home, Smartthings, and the Stringify app. side note, there's a little pull out underneath the off button that cuts the power to the fixture it controls, so no need to run to the breaker box to cut power.

I was easily able to self install the switch and the base station in a few minutes. I have some experience in changing light switches. Immediately it started working as I expected. I can dim the lights in my room from anywhere through my iPhone app. It works great. It comes with a remote control in order to be able to adjust the lights or turn them off without having to walk over to the switch, as well. I really don't ever use the remote. I am thinking of getting a few additional switches for other rooms.

I replaced a remote switch we had for backyard lights that was several years old that had died. It was not wifi connected and we had several wireless remotes in the house for it. It was also a Lutron product and was very pleased with its performance over the years. I had been searching for a replacement, but it is no longer available. So while searching several switches came up, but only Caseta seemed to be the most compatible for our application. It was much easier to install that the old one and the wifi set up was almost too easy! I was done in less than 30 minutes. We are using Home Kit to control it and it is programmed to turn on at sunset and off about the last time our dogs go out. The lights consist of Halogen, LED and CFL. Works Great. We would have preferred a on off only switch but there ws not one available at our Best Buy. We will be buying more in the future.

I purchased this kit as I wanted to expand my smart home using the Apple HomeKit as the application. The Lutron product allows Homekit application and the dimmer switch can control multiple fixtures and multiple lights per fixture (a difference from the Phillips Hue). The biggest benefit came in being able to mount the remote in a different area of the room giving me a second switch in a room that previously had only one. All done without running wires! What a huge time and money saver! Plus, the ability to control the lights with preset scenes or Siri makes this an extremely easy product to use!

I purchase two Lutron light switches which can be used manually on the wall, or they can controlled over the Internet. I was concerned that Lutron has its own proprietary protocol, but when I realized they could be controlled by Wi-Fi, they could be dimmed (the dimmer switch was invented by Lutron), and they were easy to install, I went ahead and purchased the Lutron switches. They work flawlessly either manually in person or via the Internet. Very happy customer!

I'm a lighting fanatic and have owned a Philips Hue system for 4 years now. While I love the range of the color Hue bulbs It's not always the desired solution for areas of the home in which you'd rather just have dimming capabilities. So I've decided to do do a dual head monster by leaving my Hue to handle color and my new Lutron Caseta system to handle white dimming. I've never really messed with any electrical systems before so I hit Youtube to get information and find out the Do's and Don't for safety. First up I purchased a circuit tester and an outlet tester. I made sure to cut power to the room and I inspected the wires to see how my in-wall dimmer was wired. I'm a big fan of using Wago lever nuts instead of wire nuts for dealing with pigtails and marrying solid wire with stranded wire. Check'em out at your parts store. Installation went quickly and the screwless wall plate updated the look of my wall very nicely. I figure I'll carry this look throughout my home. Enough of that how did the Caseta system preform? I have recently retrofitted my BR30 bullbs with Philips 6 inch trim kits with Warm Glow. These LED kits take on an incandescent look as you dim them by shifting to a orange/reddish glow. Looks great and the Lutron dimming really completed the look. I was able to get the LED to dim fairly low ...6% or so without any flicker. Creating scenes was very easy so that with a touch of a virtual button my living room now turns on full brightness or dims down to a nice comfy level. I was a bit surprised that access my lights remotely required no extra configuration. Other than a slight delay your lights will dim remotely just as they do when you're in the home. I look forward to linking my Echo Dot and the eventual Smartthings integration but i'm happy to report that the Lutron Caseta and Homekit work just fine from my iPhone. Beware ...the addiction is real and I'm already planning more rooms and sincerely hope that Lutron adds more hardware in the near future.

My home has quite a few Wemo socket style switches and all have installed and functioned as advertised. But, when it came time to install a wall switch, I discovered that the Wemo requires a neutral wire at the switch. I live in a 100 year old home, and whether or not a particular existing switch has a neutral wire is a matter of luck as much as anything else. My search for a solution led me to the Lutron Caseta. It is the only smart switch I could find that required only the hot wire at the switch box. I ordered the Caseta a bit hesitantly because it requires a hub and I have a SmartThings hub that I have found to be a bit clumsy in setup and implementation. The Caseta, however, proved to be a breeze to get installed on my wi-fi network and working with both the iOS version of the Lutron app and with Amazon Alexa. One of the nicer things about the system is the remote and the ability to install it as a second wall switch without additional wiring. A holder and wall plate for the remote(sold separately, but inexpensive) allows for wall installation with no need for wiring or a junction/switch box and you have what amounts to a three-way switch without having to pay for or spend hours snaking traveler wires through an older home. It's quite simply a brilliant solution for a problem that old home owners have wrestled with for years.

Does indeed work with no neutral line. Relatively lag free. Dimmest setting on dimmer is still relatively bright with LED bulbs. Buttons are hard to identify through feel in dark, so often times press a dim up or dim down instead of light on when fumbling in dark. Prominent bumps or indentations would help feel for correct button. Reliable. Extra points for being Lutron with the expectation it will be supported long into the future. Additional parts easy to get even at hardware store if needed or if BB decides to no longer stock in future. Most negative thing, these are some of the most expensive smart switches.

Wanted to start turning lights on and off as we got / left the home. Friend turned me on to the Caseta Wireless product line. At the time of purchase, it is one of the best for support, reliability, ease of use and flexibility compared to some of the others. Got home, connected the dimmer, plugged the Bridge to my router, installed app and associated the dimmer to a room. Worked on the first try. My only complain, is that the product line has limited options for Switches. If you want a fan control or dimmer that requires a higher LOAD, then you need to make sure you have a neutral wire in the wall. I didn't. Also other switches (including the simple On/Off) switch is more expensive than their Dimmer Switch. Have it working with Nest Thermostat with no problems.

The promise of a Smart Home has been around since the 60's, and it's finally starting to become a reality; or, rather, a reality for "regular" people. Lutron's Caséta Wireless Smart Lighting Kit is, in a word, AWESOME. It's great to be able to manage your home's lighting using Siri (it's HomeKit compatible), without losing manual control if your Internet goes down — all the in-wall, plug-in and Pico remotes still work perfectly. In fact, if your Internet goes down but your WiFi is still working (i.e., your devices can all talk to each other, but they can't access the web) you can still control your lighting through the Lutron App. While the Smart Hub is easy to install (literally, download the Lutron App and follow the instructions), the in-wall dimmers may be challenging for people who may not be comfortable with "basic" wiring. That said, Lutron provides excellent step-by-step instructions in the form of written guides and online videos. I would and have recommended this to family and friends.

This is a terrific switch. Doesn’t need the neutral wire. I returned a few different switches because they needed the extra wire. For replacing an existing switch in an older house this is perfect. Works great with either the included remote or Amazon Exho for voice control.

Perfect for lazy people like me! No more getting up to hassle with walking across the room to turn on/off the light. Remote is GREAT! Works with a smart hub so even Siri can use it... Nice... Now I can tell Siri to turn my lights on/off without even lifting a finger!! Ultimate LAZINESS!

Got this starter kit because it's a phenomenal deal. Currently have a dimmer in my room and kitchen and I can't wait to keep expanding. Integration works great, setting scenes for preferred lighting , being able to set the Pico remote to go right to a pre-set percentage with the touch of a button. The application is simple to use and not overly cluttered. Love the ability to make a Lutron widget on my phone to select preferred scenes without even needing to open the application. 10/10, buy this set and you'll find yourself expanding all over the house in no time.

The Lutron Caseta Wireless bridge is very easy to setup and the switches are easy to install. There is plenty of documentation online incase you have complex wiring. The system works great and I love the ability to schedule my lights to go on and off. Really helpful if I am away or come home late. Also great when I am away and I want to check security cameras and night. Usually couldn't see much, but now I can turn on the lights remotely and see everything.

Had a two switch light that had a bad switch in my kitchen. Used this kit to convert to a single switch but also setup a auto on auto off program. Plus its also a dimmer and for my 6 Par 38 lights it was a huge feature. Easy install and the pico remote i put where the second light switch was so the lights still operate from two wall switches except one is just a controller. Plus i can use my phone to control it from anywhere in or outside the house!! Planning to add a Nest or Honeywell thermostat and they both integrate into the Lutron App!!

This is my first venture into the Smart Home. I realized quickly that you have to choose an ecosystem. I like this because it works with HomeKit and Alexa. I don't have a Google Home so I didn't care but its an issue that these main 3 need to get on board with. A customer really should have the flexibility to use any home manager they need. Anyway this is a good one for me and it works great with Home Kit which I use for automation and Alexa which I use for on the spot commands. No complaints here.
