I was excited when I first received my new M-Audio Axiom Air Mini 32. It looks cool and very functional. But that's where the positives end. While it worked with Ableton Live, the entire thing feels like a cheap Casio kids keyboard. The keys are spongy and flimsy, the knobs are too smooth and small, and the drum pads are absolute garbage, often under-triggering or double/triple triggering the pads around the struck pad at a moderate tap. I often felt like it was going to break under normal use. I ended up selling it for credit toward a Novation Launchkey 25. Don't waste your time with this novelty midi controller. It has a lot of good functions, but using the word "function" is being too generous. I expected more from M-Audio. But for just $50 more, you can get something far better.

The fact that you can buy this controller along WITH a copy of Ableton lite is amazing in itself. Ableton is out of control man. The Axiom works great. It'd be cool if the drum pads lit up, but I don't use it on stage so, that's ok! ;)
