I paired this Maestro with my new Pioneer AVH-2550NEX head unit so that I could maintain my Ford Sync features (stereo and mic controls on my steering wheel, AC functions, etc.). It works flawlessly! I highly recommend this when replacing your stock stereo for that "upgraded factory" look and feel.

Very pleased the installation was perfect the system is amazing..i had a code for the engine check light gave me the code and what the problem might be. Increased gas mileage by being able to monitor my acceleration and braking distance as well as how much brake pressure is applied. Very useful

I got the maestro since it was recommended by Best Buy and they installed it themselves, I did take a look on the instructions and I was going to do it myself but I let Best Buy do the installation instead, good call, I've had my radio installed for over six months and still works great. can control the volume, fast forward, rewind, mute, and other functions from my steering wheel,

This is a must feature when installing a new car stereo. All my gauges show up on my stereo screen it’s like diagnostic that is connected to your stereo

When my parents gave me their 2014 Prius, it was in excellent condition—low mileage, flawless inside and out, and mechanically sound. The only real problem? The stock Toyota head unit’s touchscreen stopped working. I couldn’t pair a new phone over Bluetooth, change audio sources, or even select “Radio” from the menu. Music would only play if my mom was in the car because her phone was still paired. A replacement OEM head unit was way out of my budget, so I went with a Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX (wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto) and paired it with the Maestro ADS-MRR interface to keep my steering wheel controls (volume, track/radio tuning, phone call pickup/end). This Maestro model also unlocks extra features on compatible vehicles—like real-time tire pressure (per tire), on-screen gauges, battery voltage, check-engine code reading/clearing, and future-ready support for adding a backup camera. Nine months later, I’m still thrilled. The installation was done at Best Buy, and the Maestro has worked flawlessly from day one. My steering wheel volume, tuner, and call buttons all function exactly as they did from the factory. I love having access to detailed vehicle data right on my Pioneer’s screen—features I never had with the OEM radio. Even though I don’t use all of them every day, it’s reassuring they’re there when I need them. A few tips from my experience: • Do your homework before buying. Go to iDatalinkMaestro.com and enter your car’s year, make, and model. You’ll see exactly which Maestro module(s) and harnesses you need, along with any extra features your vehicle supports. • Know your radio compatibility. Your aftermarket head unit must be “iDatalink Ready” to get the full factory-feature retention and vehicle data display. • Confirm needed parts with an installer, not just a sales rep. At Best Buy, the salesperson initially tried to sell me extra harnesses and adapters I didn’t need. I asked an installer to confirm, and it turned out I only needed the antenna adapter, dash kit, and USB adapter—saving me money. • Think about button programming. The Maestro lets you customize what your steering wheel buttons do (including “press-and-hold” functions). I forgot to request that my tuner buttons cycle through presets instead of scanning stations, so I’ll be re-programming that soon. Parts I used for my 2014 Toyota Prius: • Maestro ADS-MRR Radio Replacement & Steering Wheel Interface • Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX RDS AV Receiver (Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto) • Metra 95-8226B Dash Kit (Select 2010-2015 Toyota Prius) • Metra 40-LX11 Antenna Adapter (Select 2007-2023 Toyota/Subaru/Lexus) • AXXESS AXUSB-TY4 USB Adapter Cable Interface (Select 2012-Up Toyota/Lexus) Bottom line: The Maestro ADS-MRR is worth every penny if you want to retain your factory steering wheel controls, keep (or gain) advanced vehicle info on your new head unit, and prepare for future upgrades like a backup camera. My 2014 Prius now feels like a modern, tech-loaded car again—without paying Toyota’s OEM price tag. Highly recommended.

The install was fairly simple if you have decent soldering skills. the device adds great features and works seamlessly like OEM for the steering wheel buttons. I also gained the gauges as promised. well worth the premium over a steering wheel button kit only. Simpy flash the required firmware to it for you vehicle, then connect all the wires. I de-pinned unused wires to keep a clean install and reduce the mess on the harness. only around 6 wires come out of it to add the full functionality.

For its capabilities i think its over priced. It only works with another piece in total its about 350.00 in addition to the stereo it connects to. Plan on opening your walle the end result is great. It even has the ability to keep your factory settings and interfaces. It is a little hard to set up. It must be registered and updated via computer connection.

I’m pleased with the installation and quality of this product. The product was installed in a very acceptable time frame and the young man was very professional with me. I’d recommend the service to a friend for sure. It’s nice having a good dependable stereo system.

This unit was great and, with the vehicle-specific wiring harness, we didn't have to change the vehicle wiring one bit. everything plugged right in. This unit is responsive and hasn't had a single glitch yet. Programming it via the iDataLink website was really easy and even let us choose which factory vehicle systems to integrate. We were able to choose behaviors for the steering wheel controls and get vehicle information on the aftermarket head unit screen - information we couldn't access without an OBD2 scanner before. I've also installed this unit in other vehicles from different manufacturers and with other brands of head unit and these things are always flawless. Be sure to get the wiring harness for your vehicle and read the instructions carefully. It makes life easy and you don't have to alter your vehicle at all, which is great if you're leasing.

I used this with my New Pioneer stereo. It was easy to program by plugging it into my lap top. I was able to program everything for my specific car & model. It also let me program the steering wheel controls to work how I wanted with ease. Then plug it in to my stereo under the dash and it auto set up. This also connect to my OBDII port and allows me to see all my diagnostics on my pioneer stereo. I would buy again. I gave it 4 stars because it was pricey considering the wiring harness was an additional purchase.

I purchased and installed the iDatalink Maestro RR for my 2012 Nissan 370Z. I had installed a Pioneer 1330-NEX on my car and wanted to gain access to my steering wheel controls again and some of the other features that were advertised. The install was definitely a learning experience and I wouldn’t recommend it if you haven’t done any radio installs or similar work before. Thankfully the provided wiring diagram was very accurate. Before buying this I would reccomend that you check out iDatalink’s website where you can select your vehicle make, model, trim and aftermarket radio. After all that info is selected their website will tell you exactly what features you will gain access to and the specific wiring diagram/instructions for your particular vehicle. For my car I was able to use the Performance Gauges feature where I can now keep track of my Air/Fuel ratio, intake air temperature, timing, coolant temperature, etc. I am now also able to check any OBD2 codes that I might have straight off of my radio. Keep in mind this all depends on what car and radio you have. To top things off I had a small issue after my install was done and I called iDatalink where I was pleased to learn that their customer service is on point. Over the phone they were really professional and able to resolve my issue with no problem.
