Incredible product. Truly the work of a company that put good time and money into their products. As a former installer, I cannot recommend how much better this product is over any other brands options enough. They’re easy to program, give detailed instructions on how to install, and they’re very versatile. Even on older vehicles, my S2000 for example that use a more analog style of controls, it works perfectly. I will say a good tip for anyone not using a supported radio (like power acoustik cp-71w), set the radio to any newer Kenwood while programming. It works for most radios.

Worked really well for my wife’s radio. Now she can use her steering wheel buttons on the new one.

Worked as advertised on a 2005 G35 and upgraded AA/carplay stereo unit that had option for steering controls. Steering contols allow for some customization options but read the manual for details becuase there are limits, but the options met my needs. Volume up, next track, and voice commands worked with existing steering controls.

I first installed a carplay JVC radio in lynchburg, they told me they needed a additional receiver just to keep the steering wheel controls even though it said it would come with steering wheel support I paid an extra 180 just for that they told me they could install it closer to me in Charlottesville that was the worst decision I made because the one in Charlottesville only had one guy doing the installation he broke my dashboard and if I hadn't gotten the warranty I would of had to pay even more to fix the dashboard thankful I got the warranty and it was covered but still took a week to get the part shipped and for it to be fixed. I would not recommend having anything installed at the Charlottesville location because the people in Lynchburg got my dashboard off with no problem and didn’t break it. Other then that I like the product

Didn't come with harnesses to connect to my specific vehicle. I would have to splice the wires in order to use it. The online set up is not easy to use. I prefer the vehicle specific interface with harnesses. The connections don't match up with factory connectors.

I purchased a new HU for my wife’s car. Her old unit didn’t have many frills, such as Bluetooth and Backup Camera, but oddly enough it did have steering wheel Controls for the OEM Radio. I wanted to make sure that she could use the volume controls, switch stations, etc. So, I purchased the Maestro SW. The only issues that I had is the programming of the device had to be done using certain MS Windows OS such as XP, Vista or Win7. Since I’m a Mac OS person, I had to hunt down a PC that would suit my needs. Check to make sure your OS is supported before you purchase this or it could become an issue. All said and done, my wife is happy with the new HU and keeping her Steering Wheel Radio Controls.

I feel like it’s a little expensive for what it does. I installed this myself, and I’m so glad I did. I’m finally able to use my steering wheel to change the volume and stations, etc. This device definitely requires some tech knowledge. I have a 2006 Honda Element paired with a JVC 750 version stereo. Works like a charm!

Very versatile adapter. Simple install of windows program and flashing for your vehicle. Clear directions for wiring and integrating with aftermarket head unit.

When I purchased the JVC KW-V840BT head unit with Apple CarPlay, the salesman suggested this interface module to keep my OEM steering wheel controls. While it seemed a bit expensive, I’m glad I got it because I would have missed using them. The install was a bit tedious, but as long as you follow the instructions on the Maestro website you’ll be ok. It does require you to create an account on the Meastro website, and you have to connect the interface module to your computer to flash the vehicle specific software. You do have the option to customize the function of each steering wheel control button, but I found the default functions to be all that I needed. The Maestro website will also give you vehicle specific wiring instructions. Once installed, it has been working flawlessly.

Does exactly as advertised. Did a self install. Tried to flash the unit on a Mac system, couldn’t not get it for the life of me to flash. Had to do it on a family members PC and even that was not as seamless as some of the YouTube videos mentioned. But that’s my personal experience with it. It seemed extremely intimidating looking at all the wires at first. but the online portion has you input your vehicles info and at the end it specifically tells you what specific cables to use. Would highly recommend if you’d like to keep your steering controls not sure if the install is the same on all vehicles. Some have an rca output that can be plugged directly into the aftermarket unit and can avoid spending on this product. But for my vehicle it was needed and it works great.

Using this for the new headunit in my 2009 Subaru Forester with steering wheel controls. Reading the online instructions and watching a few YouTube videos is a MUST DO prior to installing this unit. It was a little daunting at first, but in the end it all turned out to be fairly simple. The Maestro online wiring instructions specific to your make/model of vehicle are amazing! I also enjoy the ability to custom program the remote. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to keep their existing steering wheel controls.

Over the years I have become used to my steering wheel controls. When I installed a new Pioneer system I had to purchase this adapter so I could continue using the controls. It works seamlessly and I am pleased. I only wished the sales staff would have told me I needed this. They didn't and I was surprised to find out that that my controls didn't work. I would have been covered in the initial "free" installation of my system but since I didn't know, I had to pay an installation fee to have it installed on another date.
