See more imagesIf you’re looking to pass a good time with family and friends Mario Kart is always a good choice, frenetic, challenging (if you play online), etc. I would called it the Ultimate Mario Kart Game with some minor flaws like the tracks being extensive straight ways, roasters could have characters more relevant to the franchise and the lack of things to do if you are not into battle mode or competitive but overall that’s everything that a Mario Kart game could offered, plus the new mechanics, visually beautiful and memorable soundtracks I would give it at 8/10

Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2 is the franchise at its peak—faster, flashier, and more expansive than ever before. It brings stunning visuals, smooth 60 FPS gameplay, and a globe-trotting selection of jaw-dropping tracks, making it the best-looking and most ambitious entry to date. One of the standout features is the massive character roster. While many are alternate versions or "skins" of favorites like Mario, Peach, and Bowser, the sheer variety adds flavor—especially since all variations are unlockable through gameplay, with no microtransactions in sight. Just play, earn, and enjoy. The track design is next-level. Some courses are absolutely massive, with one sky-high masterpiece in particular that’s nothing short of breathtaking. It's the kind of track that leaves you stunned mid-race—unbelievably grand, both in scale and design. The new World Tour mode, dynamic weather, and smooth 16-player online races round out the package beautifully. If you love Mario Kart, this is a no-brainer.

The best Mario Kart to date. I've been enjoying the world and the newer animations and smooth 4k gameplay. It's not perfect, and the price is high, but it's really fun and everything I wanted on a mario kart game.

What can I say about Mario Kart World? There is plenty to do, and all of the collectables can easily take yo well over 50+ hours to collect in a casual playthrough of the game with no guide. I've got well over 50 hours into the game and still haven't found them all. Each character has at least 3-5 extra costumes you can get if you want to vary your experience a little. My personal favorite is Rosalina's Aurora costume. And finally, there's the music. The game feels like a gigantic homage to the Mario franchise as a whole. You have music from Mario 1, 2, 3, World, 3D Land, 3D World, Wonder, Mario Land 1 and 2, Wario Land, and that's just to name a few of the games. All in all, I feel this game alone is well worth buying a Switch 2 for.

This is a good game in my opinion it's fun like every mario kart you can race online and race against your siblings and it's also open world can drive around exploring the streets but what i really like is the outfit changes the only negative really is the price i don't think this game should be $80 other then that i enjoyed the game

Mario Kart World does what every mario kart in the past has done and improves on it. The open world mode is fun to explore. The knockout rally is by far my favorite mode to play solo. Online play has never been easier. Game chat is simple to use and set up and works incredibly. If you only buy one Nintendo Switch 2 game, it should absolutely be this one.

I’m reviewing this game for what it could be rather than what it currently is right now. There’s not much in the way of true Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives, and we all know you’re probably going to pick this up, but be warned that the open world that they advertised isn’t filled like other games (Forza Horizon) - it’s quite empty. Challenges and P Switches are what fill the void and they’re spread out over the map. If costumes and vehicles are what you want to unlock, they take about 2-3hrs to unlock everything currently in the game, if you exploit everything. The menus are confusing and they have each costume as its own character in order to bolster the roster that’s pretty barebones. They’re almost guaranteed to try and sell DLC later on, but for $80, they need to give some free updates before they think about doing that. Final opinion is that it’s not worth $80 in its current shape, but could be in a year or two with some free character updates and some easy fixes that can be done with patches. Let’s be honest - you’re going to buy the game regardless. It’s Mario Kart.

Great game with phenomenal soundtrack. The movement in this game is the highlight, you can get so much more creative grinding off rails and walls and poles and things than in other games. Free roam is a lot of fun, but wow is this game expensive. If you can, get the bundle with the switch 2 and save $30.

Got this recently through pickup and was very pleased with service. I got it within on hour of purchase. As for the game and package, they were both in great condition: clean, no scratches, and looked brand new.

I mean, it’s a really good game but it honestly should’ve been $70. I highly doubt it was gonna go on sale anytime soon so I would just say to pick it up and play it while everyone else is still playing it. It’s a great game very complicated at times but very enjoyable.

The game was really exciting at launch and don't get me wrong the game looks beautiful and it can be fun, but it feels lacking in content in some areas like the open world, and it should get free updates/DLC later on.

It's a fun game, I really enjoy the playable characters and open map, however i do prefer the polished start to finish experience of each track in mario kart 8 deluxe. The real reason you would buy this verison is just for the physical cartridge because it is quite a bit more expensive than the console bundle, but here I am haha.

I wasn’t expecting how thrilling it would be to play Mario Kart again since I had the Nintendo 64. If you’re a fan of the game, this one is definitely worth checking out!

An excellent new entry in the Mario Kart series. The Grand Prix mode is good, as usual, and the new mode, Knockout Tour, is phenomenal. The Free Roam and Battle modes are somewhat lacking, however. But overall a fun experience.
