Customer Ratings & Reviews

There are so many good things I could say about Mario & Luigi: Brothership, but it’s best that you play it yourself for the best experience. It’s an RPG, so it has the traditional turn-based combat that every Mario & Luigi game has, with some unique elements here and there. As for the story, it does drag on at first, but gets really interesting and engaging on the later half, making it all worth it in the end. In conclusion, this game is a must-have for those who are familiar to any Mario & Luigi game (or RPG fans in general)!

This is a great addition to the Mario & Luigi series with a wonderful story full of interesting characters and a rewarding satisfying battle system. It's slower paced than previous games, but not to it's detriment. It slowly yet steadily builds to one of the most epic conclusions in the series.

First Mario and Luigi game, and it does not disappoint! Fun game through and through, on the easier side but its a good one to just relax and smile :).

This is a great game, takes over 60 hours to finish, fun random enemy battles and really fun and challenging boss battles, it takes a while before the enemies start giving you good experience points but once they do you can turn almost any area into a good experience point breeding ground, the bros. attacks are always fun to use, I highly recommend this game.

Been waiting 9 years for another Mario and Luigi game and they DID NOT disappoint :D

I cannot stress this enough how wonderful it is to see the return of this series. However as a long time fan there are little nitpicks that constantly come up as you play. Normally I wouldn’t give them too much weight, but they do pile up. The game is charming and looks good, but at times it doesn’t run, or play well compared to past games in the series, and the story and tutorializing is at least for the first few hours I’ve played, bland and intrusively obnoxious. It’s unfortunate but this game could really benefit from some updates and the backwards compatibility of Nintendo’s next system hopefully offering it more horsepower, but with Nintendo neither of those are guarantees.

It’s a very good game that’ll give you around 50-60 hours of gameplay. The fighting mechanism is very good and the story development is pretty good. I highly recommend this game.

The new edition to Mario and Luigi franchise has just arrived. It’s a fun game for the whole family as well as those playing on their own.

Mario & Luigi Brothership is a great time for long time fans of the RPG series. Minor frame rate issues do not hinder what is a nice return to the once believed to be extinct franchise.

Pretty good. Good to see these characters in this style game

My son is over the moon! He loves the combat system story! He says it is innovative and so much fun!

One of the best Mario games. A must buy if you enjoy the series with engaging gameplay, plot, and characters.

Finally found it at a good price and luckily last one in stock. Very good care on the box and game works perfectly

Mario luigi rpg goodness is back! Funny dialogue fun game play wacky adventure

Awesome game - my kid loves it. Mario never disappoints!

Combat 10 out of 10 but there is a lot of dialogue so just skip through all the talking if you want to and you'll be fine. Still a good game despite the reviews

GREAT GAME! just buy it from a different site. This is the 3rd time someone has ordered a game in my family from Bestbuy that looks half melted. The thin plastic cover is so tight is has snapped the thicker plastic case.

got the game but the pre order gift was never sent. Don’t pre-order anything from best buy online. This is the second time has happened.

Love the visual style of the game. No complaints on new voice actor for Mario/Luigi. Gameplay overall similar to original titles with nice updates. However something about this title felt like they missed something. I stopped playing about 15hrs in and that was forcing myself to play to that point because i read the pacing picks up. It didnt in my opinion. The story is forgettable. Glad they made lots of original characters to fit the theme of the game/story but i also wasnt a fan of the design. I tried to pick up again for a few more hours but ended up dropping the game and sold it off instead. Wanted to love it so bad but i was really bored playing it. Pacing slow. Story bland. Quests were not fun. Graphics are pretty. Nostalgia kept me more than the game itself as long as it did. Unfortunate. Rather go back and play one of the originals.

Pretty fun game overall, especially if you enjoy the mario and luigi series. I've played since superstar saga and its a solid entry. Gameplay is just as fun as you would expect, battles are fun and the overworld is fun to explore as well. Luigi does kind of move on his own but it never bothered me as he will stay behind you when moving but he just interacts more with his surroundings if anything. Story overall isn't bad, it isn't a difficult game either. It doesn't hold your hand but I never got a game over. The visuals are great and I love the art style and colors overall. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys these games or would like to get into them. You wouldn't miss out on any other lore if you haven't played the previous titles.
