One of the best coop Mario experiences I have had on the Nintendo Switch. Excellent for parties/get togethers and plenty of single player content in the Adventure Mode to keep you entertained. Free DLC content in the form of extra characters like Chain Chomp, Boom Boom, Pauline, Kamek, and Dry Bowser! Online Tournaments with a chance to unlock alternate costumes for fan favorite characters like Wario ans Waluigi. 10/10 Would Recommend!

Much more than just a tennis game. Yes you can just play tennis but there are also Quests & story line to challenge yourself. Play solo against the computer or with a friend.

Game is fun my only gripe and it’s a bit late now but I’m just now taking the game out of the package (a month later) and the game case is completely destroyed. Seems like it was stepped on. Game is fine, just the case is badly damaged

This is an excellent tennis game that has great controls and plenty of variety for strategy. It is a very fun local two player game. The single player mode is pretty shallow and gets boring fast. But the actual tennis gameplay is the best in the mario tennis series.

You don’t have to like tennis to like this game. It’s great to play with friends or family. It’s easy to pick up and learn but difficult to master.

This game plays like all of the other Mario Tennis games but it adds in a "Super Shot" that each character has once you fill up a meter. At first I was put off by this but you can play with it OFF and even if you leave it on it is not overpowered. Whenever a Special is used you can actually return it easily enough with enough practice. The only negative I see is the really short single player campaign. This game is definitely built more towards Online Multiplayer.

Its Mario tennis so you know there is an adventure aspect, kind of basic quests. The actual tennis play is fun but surprisingly tough. Fun game!!

I was very excited to hear the next Mario Tennis was being developed by Camelot and would have a single player mode. Mario Tennis Aces is a wonderfully crafted game that has added a lot to the game to prevent the Mario Tennis series from becoming stale. The new meter building and the shots that come with it are a fantastic mechanic. Racket breaking however is something I’m on the fence on. It can be used to win and takes away from the overall experience imo. The story mode is really fun but feels like an extended tutorial for the most part. The challenge isn’t all skill based due to the fact there are distractions and obstacles on the courts and the AI knows how to use that to their advantage strongly in some cases. The boss fights are really well done and are challenging but enjoyable. The real longevity in the game comes in the form of the online tournaments. These serve as the way to get new characters as they release and is enjoyable to play against other human opponents. Overall I think Mario Tennis Aces is a fantastic entry with a well done story mode and the addition of tournament was the spark needed for the series.

I've been playing Mario Tennis games since I was a child with a N64 and have always held a spot in my heard for them. When I found out about this games release, I felt very positive the game would turn out well. Well... I think it was a pretty decent step in the right direction. Game play is as fun as ever and online play is addicting. Only part that's fairly negative is the single player experience is lacking a little, but it's overshadowed by the multiplayer. Great game overall

I have played a few mario tennis games in the past and I enjoy the core mechanics of tennis. I'm not into the over the top mechanics with the special moves and everything. Playing through the campaign I found it frustrating at times defeating opponents and bosses. I just want to play regular tennis with mario characters. Thankfully you can set up the game with simple gameplay and it is a great time especially with friends. If everyone at least knows the basics, matches often result in intense hilarity. You could be having a good rally going and all of a sudden you hit the other player or miss a ball completely and it's really funny. The characters move goofy and gives it tons of charm. Its not meant to be taken seriously but it can get pretty competitive when it goes back and forth with deuces and advantages. I would highly recommend it.

This game is just plan fun. Its a fun game with depth competitive game play. Single player is there for show but this game similar to Mario Kart 8 its best features is the fun competition against friends and family. You will jump when you win and yell when you lose. This game takes you there. It would be perfect if more is added such as custmization and more courts with suprising characters. But fun equals wanting more.

The actual gameplay is really fun. The multiplayer is exciting and more complex than you’d expect. There are online tournaments to compete in and new characters to unlock. I was a little disappointed with the single player modes, though. Make sure you download all the updates before playing it, because they fixed a lot of small things. Don't buy at $60... i'd say a good value around $40.

Mario Tennis Aces is like a fighting game. Every move can be countered with another move, and a rally can go on for minutes if you play your cards right. Mechanically, it's the best Mario Tennis has offered. Content, however, is still light. Adventure Mode only takes a few hours to complete. The rest of the longevity comes from playing online or with friends. Recommended if you like online or have friends.

I have played nintendo games for a while and always enjoyed the Mario sport game. This one is great. I am able to play with my 8 and 4 year old no problem. They are able to learn the basics of the game very easily but the finer points will give them motivation to play. Even got my wife to play and she had fun too!

This game plays great and looks great. The online tournaments are fantastic but the single player is pretty much one long tutorial on how to play. This game has all the potential to be even better but just doesn’t fully execute. It’s hard to justify it as a $60 title simply because there isn’t a lot there - especially if you have no or dodgy internet connection. Still a lot of fun though.
