Q: Should these pair well with a Denon AVR-X2700H receiver ?
A: Hello. Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. We recommend an amplification power between 20-200 watts per channel for the Motion 20i, so the Denon falls into the recommended range for these speakers. There shouldn't be any issues with the pairing and they should be a nice match. We hope this helps and thanks again for your question. We appreciate your support.
A: Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. The Motion 20i's are recommended for an amplifier power between 20-200 watts per channel. You can even go beyond those recommendations, but 200 watts per channel will be a great match for the speakers and should allow the speakers to play beautifully. Please let us know if you have any other questions and we appreciate your support.
A: There should be no problem. These speakers are reasonably efficient. I power them with an NAD C 375BEE power amp fed by an NAD C 265BEE preamp (newer versions, more or less, of your amplifiers) - and they sound terrific.
Q: is it OK to connect to 8 ohms receiver? Common receiver is 8 ohms Thanks,
A: That would almost certainly be OK, but it depends on how the output stage of your receiver's power amplifier stage is designed. Most would accommodate the ~6 ohms of these speakers without a problem. I drive them in parallel with a pair of Bose 301's (MLs in one room, Bose in another) with an NAD C 375BEE power amplifier - and it all works and sounds just fine. But if you're concerned, this question should really be put to the receiver manufacturer to get the definitive answer.
Q: This is a per speaker price ?? ~ i have to double this for the pair ???
A: Yea, it's priced per unit not per pair, which is unusual.

I love the range of the Martin Logan motion line. Bought these to upgrade my system, moved my old Martin Logan towers to the back and put these up front. They do a great job. Next upgrade will be adding a sub. That's their only weakness they do not have a powerful base, but they are meant to work with a subwoofer so I can't even call it a weakness.

I love these speakers. The sound is astonishingly clear in the upper ranges and the lower end delivers plenty of bass without being "boomy." In fact, I leave the tone controls on my NAD preamp defeated; there's no need to tinker with it. I considered the larger M40i's, but they were too tall for the space and - as it turns out - these are just fine. I have had excellent luck with a MartinLogan 5.1 surround sound system, and these reinforce my already-positive view of their products. By the way, I did not use the spikes, preferring the hemispherical "bumpers" to protect the floor.
