[I really would give this game a 2.5, if I could] The Good: Planet exploration and the single-player combat action has taken a considerable jump forward from the previous Mass Effects. I find myself wanting to go from planet to planet, seeing what treasures and dangers await me in these gorgeous new worlds. The Bad: The writing in my opinion is fairly poor, but I do understand how some will find it enjoyable. It's not that I don't like campy dialog here and there, but Mass Effect seems to be very tone-deaf at times where the character dialog and responses do not match the situation. The absence of Renegade or Paragon responses made the character dialog feel very limited most times. What made the previous games special to me is that I could add many aspects of my own personality to Shepard through the vast dialog options. In Andromeda I feel like I'm locked into being either nice or snarky and it's very predictable and sometimes straight-out boring. The Really Ugly: The character animations and in-game bugs are the worst of any AAA game I have purchased in last 5 years. I don't even of room to write the large list of bugs I have encountered in Andromeda that has cost me hours of gameplay. Some players are willing to give Bioware and EA a "pass" on these issues - I absolutely will not. ** If you are on the fence about purchasing this game and reading my review, I highly suggest you wait and see what Bioware does to address these issues. If you love Bioware and don't care about bugs or terrible character animations you probably already own this game. LOL.

I must admit I'm new to this IP but was pleasantly surprised on how fun and addicting this game can be, not to mention the phenomenal graphics and the customization of the building your armor and weapons if you have been hesitant to pick up this tile I encourage you to do so and start having some fun!!

This game has received mixed reviews, but with about 25 hours of play time in, I'm really enjoying the game. I suppose graphics and environments could be better, so (-1 star). I've played the first two games and this one has a similar feel. The game is deep, with 25 hours in I've still got a long way to go to complete the main story. Like the other previous games, there are countless side missions, so u really get your $$$ worth! Missions are fun and the familiar storyline is developed and engaging. I do miss some of the earlier crew members that aren't available in this game, like Ashley and Tali, but Cora is a nice edition. I haven't experienced any significant glitches in this game and I havent gotten stuck in the Nomad as I sometimes did in the first two games, so that's a plus! All in all a very enjoyable game that I definitely recommend to both fans of the series and those new to it.

I have been a long time Mass Effect gamer, and was definitely excited for this one. I got it delivered on launch day from Best Buy, and have been playing it since. There are some technical issues for sure, and I hope it gets updated in a future patch. There is the frame rate occasional slow down and texture pop-in that can be annoying at times. The animations leave a bit to be desired, but they are nowhere near as bad as the internet would have you think. The gameplay itself is great, and a natural evolution to the third person gameplay the series is known for. Combat feels much more fluid. The jetpack gives you freedom to explore and makes the combat dynamic. Instead of hunkering down behind the same wall, I find myself moving around and trying to flush out enemies. The powers and abilities are also a step up in the way they are handled. You have the freedom to really customize your character to your play style, and swap out abilities on the fly. Weapon and armor upgrading and crafting can be a good way to gain powerful equipment. Lastly, the story. The story finds you far and away from the events of the original trilogy in the Andromeda galaxy, 600 years later. A contingent of Milky Way species left the Milky Way in search of a new home in Andromeda. You take on the role of a human tasked with finding suitable places to call home. The characters so far have been great. Both the returning and new species make for an experience that feels fresh without changing too much. While I didn't care for several of the squadmates initially, they have grown on me over time. Overall, I would recommend this both for returning Mass Effect fans, and newcomers to the franchise. Be aware of some technical issues.

Despite it's early bug that were fixed this game is great. Story is interesting and has some neat surprises. Great controls and most of the graphics look great minus some of the odd facial animations. It's not the best Mass Effect but it's great game overall. I'm glad I didn't listen to all the negative reviews that said this game was horrible and played it for myself.
