GREAT dryer! Dries FAST! Fits HUGE loads. Replaced a fancy, expensive one with this more basic model and have no regrets. Lint trap doesn’t collect much lint. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Lint trap doesn’t collect much hair. Instead, HAIR CLINGS to inside of dryer which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

This is my first Maytag product and I must say it was a reasonable price and it gets the job done. The controls are very simple compared to my previous Samsung dryer which had so many options to choose from. Even though I’m all about Samsung products, your really just paying for the name. So overall, if your looking for something inexpensive and does the job, Maytag is what you need.

This dryer works great, if it's a medium/large load it can be done in 30min, I love it. It has great capacity, we are a family of 5 so there is a lot of laundry so it's running most of the time. One of the main reasons I bought it is because if the 10 year warranty, no other brand has anything close to that.

This is the best purchase I ever made since buying a dryer yet. This dryer is the perfect purchase for my husband and I few pieces of clothing. It works well on our delicate clothing and bedding. It works well on my husbands weekly uniforms. Even though it was a out of box purchase it works perfect. Thank you best buy.

Purchased this dryer to match new washer. So far, very happy with both. Last set lasted 30 years and was also Maytag. Don’t think I’d go with any other brand!

Great dryer, plenty of options, it’s large, and the door has hinges that move the door completely out of the way.

Poorly built garbage. Door does not sit square in frame. Construction is beyond cheap. Whole front of metal chassis is flimsy. On top of that it was delivered with a scratch. Sent it straight back and purchased a GE. Geek Squad - I called for help - first 'specialist' I spoke to just acted like he was taking my info. He told me to 'call back the next morning.' Who leaves a customer hanging like that? It was just before his clock out I imagine. Second call to Geek Squad - No record of my first call! Marvin in the Phillipines was very helpful and processed the return. Too bad the kid with the bad southern accent had to clown me the first time I called. A totally disappointing experience both in product and initial response from Geek Squad. I now am the proud owner of a well built GE.

Once we pulled out the freezer from its box we realized it was damaged or bent from the bottom corner. Same thing happened to the dryer. If it doesn’t work properly, I will call the store.

The product works well once I got it properly installed. Best Buy couldn’t complete the installation because they didn’t know how. I had to get a contractor to complete the installation and Best Buy had to refund my installation charge.

Dryer comfortably fits into normal space allotments for dryers. Controls are easily within reach, and easy to understand. They are a little stiff to turn, but should loosen up a bit with use. Operational noise is at a minimum, as dryers go. One disappointment I have is the location and design of the lint trap. The location on top is easy to forget when changing out loads, since it is not in direct line of sight, as it would be in the traditional door jamb location. It also makes a mess when you pull it out to clean it. Lint falls back into the opening, and gets all over the top of the machine, so you have to clean the top off every time it is pulled out. This means that you cannot lay clothes there as you fold them, without getting lint all over them. I would have rather purchased one with a door trap, had I known this.

Okay, call me a dinosaur. I LOVE my new Maytag dryer - it is simple to use and does a PERFECT job drying all sorts of fabrics in a very short amount of time. The capacity is huge, enough for loads of king-size bedclothes. The wrinkle reduction feature...actually works! Even on linen! Please note that this dryer replaced a fairly new Samsung that came with the house that I just bought. This 'modern' thing was overly complicated and grossly inefficient, taking up to an hour or more to dry a load of clothes of mixed fabrics, a typical weekly wash. So glad the Samsung broke down and forced me to get this Maytag, that is just like the ones I have had in the past, that lasted 20 years or more. Best news: this dryer is half the price of the so-called modern machines. It does not follow me around the internet thank goodness. And because it doesn't have chips, it is not subject to supply chain shortages - it is in stock, ready to go when I desperately needed it!

I have mostly owned Maytag dryers for the last 30 years. The time I didn't buy Maytag, the dryer lasted about 3 years before having trouble with the electronics. My first lasted 15 years (washer and dryer). The second lasted 12. They have always done a good job. This dryer keeps the same simple, straightforward control panel, large capacity drum and is quiet in operation. The drying seems to be a little less thorough than I remember with previous units but better than the product I had for the 3. The build construction is lighter than the past models but that just seems to be the nature of all the dryers out there. Looking forward to at least another 10 years of trouble free drying.

I really love my purchase. Its the perfect size and do a great job of drying my clothes.....very easy to use and operate....i love the wrinkle control option...because i do not like ironing. This is a good DRYER to buy.

I don’t want or need a bunch of stupid features that are just going to break or make repairs ridiculously expensive down the road. This dryer is simple. And it works perfectly. It’s a bit louder than the Samsung it replaced, but it actually dries faster and consistently. The buzzer is loud enough to wake the dead, but sort of matches the 1950s industrial-grade personality of this appliance. It ain’t pretty. It ain’t fancy. But I bet this thing is still doing it’s job when other folks are having to buy their third replacement. My Samsung only lasted two years before it needed a new logic board...which was pretty close to the cost of this entire dryer. No more computerized appliances for me...for as long as I can get away with it.

The dryer is easy to use, efficient, quiet enough and has many useful settings/options Controls are easy and I like the knobs better than digital controls. A good buy and worthy successor to my 15 year old Maytag.
