I am THAT customer because we purchased the white set and after it was delivered the silver color looked better for our preference. The white set was delivered by amazing employees and verified no issues or damages. The second set arrived silver color, the delivery team was not like the others. The dryer was running really loud and would not heat up like the white one did. The washer had a big dent in it as well. But paying for a new product I called the sales rep he swapped it out ASAP. The 3rd set arrived was delivered by a perfect team again, no issues or dents. The dryer runs really quiet as it should and heats up perfectly. That is where I became THAT customer and the 3rd set was perfect as it should be. Delivery drivers can mess up drop or dent products. That should not reflect on the item. We love this set. This set is a lot bigger. I had to modify the dryer air vent out of the wall to be recessed inside the wall. Now the dryer can be pushed back all the way for our garage door not get to close to the dryer door. This is 8.8 cubic ft drum so the unit is bigger then our older much smaller dryer. This works as it should and is really quiet. No issues. It will auto sense how dry the clothes are and when it says 45 min left you can come back in a couple min and it will still say 45 min as it calculates time needed for each load. I would recommend this unit to anyone. We purchased the 220 volt model and works fine. The 3rd set was delivered by a much better team and verified no issues or dents and anything bad was with the items. Great customer service. Our situation for dryer air vent ducting is different. It goes up a 9 foot wall then over the garage before it reaches outside. We have a air vent booster fan installed for proper ventilation of the exhaust air from the dryer. Adequate air flow is key for clothes dryer no matter what you purchase. Before hooking up any new dryer. Clean out you vent line period. A lot of complaints of clothes dryer are fixed by cleaning your vent line.

I purchased this Electric Dryer after reading all the reviews prior to my purchase, I have to say that it has lived up to my expiation's and I like the large drum for drying my cloths and have had no problems using the cycling features. I have followed the instructions which come with the dryer and I have to say have not had any problems in drying my cloths, I like the bells and whistles that come on the dryer and the light inside the drum when you open the door. To me I have made a excellent purchase .

I purchased this Dryer about a month ago with the matching Washer,and I absolutely love it. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Purchased new washer so I also bought the matching dryer. So far so good. Bought both washer and dryer with larger capacity. They hold a lot of clothes.

This was just a "right time at the right place," moment. This dryer was an open item that had a small dent on the lower side of it. It didn't affect the functionality of the dryer or it's cycles. Free delivery plus Installation for a used dryer that works perfectly!

The washer works well as does the dryer. The lint trap on the dryer is very effective. Sheik design and girlfriend approved. My reds have never been redder.

I got this brand new Maytag Dryer on sale, open box and saved money! it's really nice! My wife Loves it!

We love our set especially when it's on delicate mode it does not ruin or over dry your clothes and for bedding drys them completely.

The knob was cut by the installer when he cut the box with a utility knife. Love the dryer.

I send this dryer to our renter. The old one was broken and he agreed to install this one. I'm sure he was pretty eager to install it for his family because only later did I get pictures of the very unusual damage. It is working great he said but just wanted to make me aware that it was damaged and send me a few pictures. I contacted Best Buy and the only thing they could offer was to have it picked up and replaced. Which would have involved my renter to uninstall the dryer....wait for the new one, install it yet again and risk scratching up our house yet again. I decided not to bother him with it cause I really though best buy had a simpler solution.

Moving into a new home typically involves a lot of “new.” One of those “new” experiences is major appliances. Having owned several different brands previously, my husband and I thought it time to try another new product. Our choice this time “Maytag.” I will say the Maytag TV ad campaign did play into our decision making but only as a teaser i.e. to get us to look at the Maytag product. We physically inspected this Maytag dryer at several locations prior to purchasing it. Relative to other dryers the deep drum, drying options, see-through lid and 10 year warranty, we were sold. Although I have only a few weeks of actual usage, I must say my experience thus far exceeds my initial expectations. What a beast. This thing dries clothes, blankets, etc. like there is no tomorrow. I am totally elated. If you are in the market for a new dryer, check out this Maytag. You’ll be glad you did.

We had problems with our old dryer as it was the same size as our washers which was 7.5 cu. ft. It just did not cut it. This Maytag which is made in America , is 8.8 cu. ft. And cut drying time by 5 hours per load for us. It keeps up with the washers and now laundry is done in hours not days. This is such a great dryer. Easy to use , quiet and best of all fast. I would recommend this with an enthusiast 2 thumbs up !

The digital controls are a cause for concern to us as a failure could be a very expensive repair, but the machine has worked very well. It is very quiet while running - at least compared to our previous machine - and that is appreciated since our laundry room is off the kitchen. The capacity is outstanding, and makes getting the laundry done a lot easier. The many different modes offered by this machine might seem a bit of overkill - and it probably is - but it is easy to find exactly the right mode for any laundry job we come across, and is fairly easy to figure out how to operate. If there was anything that would detract from its rating, it would be that the top of the machine is not flat, instead curving down towards the front, and that the machine is so deep the it is difficult for shorter people to reach laundry in the bottom. If you stack laundry on top of the machine when you are removing it from the dryer, it can slide off the front and onto the floor. The same can be said of the matching dryer. That said, we really like the washer and dryer combination and give it a five star rating because it is so well made for a reasonable price.

We've only had a few weeks but have used it for regular clothes, bedding, and heavy duty things like rugs. So far we like it, the light inside is kind of neat. We mostly do timed dry, and usually have to run more than one cycle to get the clothes all the way dry, although I feel like once we read the user manual we'll have a better feel for it. This dryer is HUGE. The lint trap design is great, inside the machine as opposed to on the top.

I fell in love with the size of the dryer. Large capacity. Easy to use.

This is a dryer that replaced another dryer that was damaged by water from above washing machine that failed. This is a dryer that is a matching set for a 5.3 cu ft. this is a 8.8 cu ft. which is way too big to be put in a condo which has a limited closet space for this matching pair. This dryer is actually 4 inches deeper than the washing machine. The size is 32 inches deep to the washing machine which is 28 inches deep. This unit can be adapted to a 4 inch vent from either sides as well from the bottom.. When you are measuring do add the additional 4 inches for the vent coming out of the dryer. I had to notch the back wall sheetrock to accommodate the custom cut solid metal vent which is better than the dryer vent kit that comes from the store which is metal but it is expandable type that has to be cleaned often.. The side vent kit from Maytag cost $50 and you have to take the dryer apart to change vent outlet. I had to move my folding door track out also to accommodate the BIG oversized dryer .I could easily have used a dryer that was smaller with out tearing down a wall and moving a door. The dryer holds more than the washing machine so measure your dryer FIRST because it is not 32 inches but 36 inches deep. add the 4 inch vent pipe. With the energy saving setting adds over a additional time for the dryer to work. The wrinkle guard warning does tell you when most of the moisture has been removed from the clothes. The quirky thing about the dryer is after the wet clothes are inside the dyer, It wants you to check if you removed the lint from the previous cycle. After you opened and closed the dryer door than it will let you start the dryer! I had to reconfigure my door opening from the left side to the right side which took some time to change out the hardware, it is in the installation manual.

I really like the large size, but it was quite a bit larger than our old one. I had to take the door and back panel off to fit through the door to the laundry room. Make sure of the dimensions before you purchase. It really dries well and the energy save mode is nice. It also sounds friendly.

I don't know who designs these machines, but they clearly don't do laundry or they would know that we don't need all these exotic settings/cycles. I usually end up using a straight, timed dry for delicates or the regular stuff. And that lint trap! Whose idea was that??? I can barely get my little fingers in there to clean it out. And none of my vacuum attachments fit into it to clean it out properly--what a pain! But what frustrates me most is that my clothes come out more wrinkled than they did with my old machine. I hate having to iron t-shirts and exercise clothing because everything comes out looking awful--worse than if I slept in it! Using a dryer sheet helps a little, but I mostly try to get things out before the cycle ends, while they're still a little damp, so that I can smooth out the wrinkles and hang everything in the basement to finish drying before I iron. Yeah, it's a pain. So much for technological improvements.

If you are looking for a large capacity washer, this is the one to get. The washer has tons of options for different load types and is beyond easy to use. The lack of agitator makes it easy to stuff large comforters and such inside without trying to force it in. The only downside would be that because of the capacity, it is very deep. You'll need to be on the taller side, or have a step stool to reach the bottom!
