My computer/laptop has been bugging lately. It will work for a whole 5 minutes and then freeze for no reason. So i took a big step and decided to protect my laptop with mcAfee advanced subscription. The install was super easy. Recieved an email and then followed 3 simple steps. Activation code, copy paste and install. Then the program will run a checkup on your computer. That only took a couple of minutes and i havent had a computer bug or freeze since using it these past few days. I think my computer had a virus so it was removed and walah. this program includes everything, antivirus on unlimited devices, personal data clean up which havent done because it is kind of a new computer, i havent loaded down yet, protection score which i think is cool because im obsessed with good scores. Identity monitoring. there is also a secure vpn when you are out and about and need to use public wifi for something, you wont get your stuff stolen. a big peace of mind and mcafee i tried and true. So 5 stars.

It’s been along time since I’ve used a McAfee product, probably over 10 years. One of the main reasons was switching over to an iPad instead of a pc as my main content device. While I do still have a need for a pc and still use one, I like antivirus software that is unobtrusive and not a resource hog. To my surprise McAfee does both very well while offering total protection for more than just your pc. I like the customization also that allows you to dictate whether the software runs on startup or waits till your pc is up and running. With McAfee Advanced you get more than just antivirus protection. You get identity protection, tracker protection, personal data cleanup, a VPN and much more. I like that it also gives you the ability to scan thumb drives, sd cards, etc. to make sure you’re not unknowingly installing something that could harm your computer. Like I said, it’s been along time since I’ve used a McAfee product, so long I honestly can’t remember why I stopped using them. But, whatever it was, they definitely aren’t like I remember. The software runs smoothly and unobtrusively in the background on my pc just the way it should be.

I think no matter what kind of system you have, you're going to touch the internet, and if you do touch the internet, you're crazy not to have some kind of protection. I have been using another service for virus and web protection for a few years so I was somewhat apprehensive about using McAfee. It was actually a fairly straightforward experience. The software was very easy to install and use. I expected to have a slowdown or a lot of obtrusive dialogs while using the software. It was fairly out of the way after the first scan. In terms of scanning drives, which was one of the three things I was interested in using... I anecdotally felt like it was the same as a lighter duty disk scan I've used before. It found a few things that Windows Defender, the built in Windows anti-virus, didn't find which does make me feel a lot better about having this running. I do like the fact there is a password manager, VPN, and identity monitoring included in this version of McAfee services. The thing that I think is really interesting is that it also includes 1 million dollars worth of identity restoration as part of the services. My favorite part of this is that it includes unlimited devices in the coverage... now that is a really convenient thing. When protecting all your tech... i mean, it was easy for me to get to 9 devices between iOS, Android, and Windows. I honestly didn't think the protection score was very valuable in my usage. You may find it useful if you don't already have an identity protection regimen. I like the user interface and the appearance of robustness. For the amount of time I used it, I feel that it was a good package. Having all of the levels of product that McAfee sells is fairly confusing to me; They don't have straightforward naming. This is the highest level you can get at the individual level. I honestly can't think of any types of threats that this doesn't address. It's fully comprehensive and has the backing of a company that's well known in computer protection. I recommend it!

This product requires some setup effort – expect at least a few hours. Downloading / installing the software is easy and you should do it on multiple devices (phones, computers and tablets). Then you will need to enter a lot of information: email addresses, phone numbers, usernames, etc… It is much easier to enter this information on a computer vs. a phone. McAfee will send you a lot of texts and emails to confirm your information. After you have installed the software and then entered your information you will need to review the results. McAfee will show you data breaches and other vulnerabilities. You will have to review each item and then change passwords as needed. I had ran a data breach search a few months ago and McAfee found all of them and 9 more that were older than my last search. McAfee also will start removing your info from the web and will recheck it every 3 months. The VPN feature is very handy and easy to use. You can decide which modules to activate under My Protection. I used to use McAfee products a long time ago and felt they were not as good as many other similar products. They have made a lot of improvements and now deliver a great product.

I am sure we are all familiar with what McAfee does. This piece of software has everything you need to be fully protected online. I’m someone who is all for online privacy and security and this software provides just that. McAfee’s Advanced Individual service provides ID protection, personal data cleanup, an antivirus, a VPN, and a tracker removal tool. Below are small descriptions of these services: ID Protection: This service checks to see if your info (SSN, phone number, etc.) has been leaked or stolen. Personal Data Clean Up: A “clean-up” service that cleans up your personal data like name and home address on people search websites like TruePeopleSearch. Antivirus: This service protects your devices from malware. VPN: Provides an encrypted network connection and disguises your online identity. Tracker Removal Tool: Removes cookies and other miscellaneous items so websites cannot track you. All these services are provided in one application that can be easily installed in less than 5 minutes. Along with the speedy installation, I noticed the software isn’t much of a memory eater as it once was. Using task manager, I was able to see that the software was using a little less than 2% of my total RAM. This is fantastic to see! While a bit pricey, I think this is a wonderful service to have if you are searching for advanced digital privacy. This service by McAfee provides everything you need. There is an app available for your phone if you want to use these services there as well. I didn’t experience any problems with either the Windows or phone application while using them. Overall, an excellent and useful service!

I've been using McAfee products for the last 10+ years, and never thought it to be much other than virus protection, however this product comes with much more than the standard antivirus. First, take note, this is a digital download, once purchased the download code and instructions are sent via email. Once emailed, the options to download are unlimited. I have put this on my teen's gaming desktops, a tablet, and an Android phone. Outside of the basic antivirus, McAfee+ Advanced offers the following add ons, which will need to be installed, but are included with this product. These are: Antivirus (download), Secure VPN (download), Identify Protection (app), Privacy Protection (app), Web Protection (extension), McAfee Safe Family (download), and TrueKey by McAfee (download). I appreciate the compartmentalized approach that McAfee took with these products, this allows you to pick and choose what features you want on each device, specific to the need. As far as application goes, I find the antivirus is not intrusive, nor does it bog down my system, and includes the option for real time scanning. The antivirus runs quickly (<15 minutes), and can be scheduled for preferred hours. Secure VPN is the same, quick to download and run. As far as the web based applications, the personal data cleanup will search for the data you select, from basics such as name and address to things like phone numbers, date of birth, email addresses. The identify protection offers identify theft monitoring, credit score, and tools such as security freeze to prevent fraud on financial accounts. The web protection installs the McAfee WebAdvisor extension to Chrome, and the tracker remover deletes cookies and temp files used in tracking. My favorite feature, outside of the virus scan, is the TrueKey, which is a seamless password manager, where you can either put in passwords for the sites you want, or turn it on to pick up passwords as you browse. Overall, I think McAfee nailed the key components to make antivirus relevant to many users, this product covers the basics and then some, adding in identify fraud monitoring, credit score, and password keeper. So far the software has successfully identified and scrubbed 10+ sites that had my personal information, as well as identified other data breaches where passwords need to be changed or where personal information was disclosed. I think this product nails the security needs for the average user.

I was a pusher of AV software back when I did in-calls for PC problems at peoples homes; these days, I’m lucky if I even keep Defender on. So, why not see how things have progressed over the past few years regarding scanning & identity protection software and services. Pros: Easy download / install Features VPN Included Lightweight Startup Speed consideration External Drive recognition Cons: Identity / Breach review hoops Meh: Run a scan now, isn’t on the main screen Once the code came to me in email, I followed instructions to download & install. Once some system compatibility checks passed, onto the Install & subsequent “Install complete.” As I use an iPad for browsing the web & my PC primarily for gaming, I don’t run anything outside of Windows Defender. Well, that is if I remember to turn it back on after some COD. Right off the bat, I was greeted by a number of features, but “Run a Scan” wasn’t there; it’s in the 4 squares menu on the left. Strange. I ran with a scan and not surprisingly, nothing was found. To make sure it was working, I pulled down EICAR and that was caught, so it’s all good… and I’m not a risky computer user. In a week of using the program, I found it shockingly lightweight and didn't notice any lag - even when scanning and that (back in the HDD days at least) was a huge Settings include ‘startup speed’ considerations There isn’t a ‘safe’ amount of time to review password / ID breach info. Over and over again, I was required to verify who I was. I get the need for security, but that’s like the bank asking you for your verification every time you change menus or go to transfer funds; once you’re logged in you should be good for a while. VPN speeds are pretty great; my traditional 500Mb/s is dropped to between 320-420Mb/s on VPN , while CyberGhost nets me 140Mb/s. Overall, there is a nice set of lightweight features here that can only add to your online security and privacy. Recommended? Yep!

McAfee has been a household name since the 90’s. The antivirus software is known for providing a strong protection between the user and the world wide web. I personally trust McAfee as the software has always protected me since my middle school days. The software has evolved and the company has changed the look and feel. Upon opening the program, I noticed everything is clear and easy to find. If your not good with navigating windows or computers McAfee makes this simple for you. The program also works behind the scenes so you really don’t need to run a manual scan but if you do believe you need to run one all one needs to do is open the program, click antivirus, then click run a scan. The scan is quick and gives you tips as you wait. The virus scan is quick and suggests that it could take 5 to 15 minutes. I have completed a few scans and usually took less than 5 minutes. My favorite part of this program is that no matter what screen you are on or even if your looking through the my protection drop down tab the program gives you a green (on) or red (off) bubble. This helps when you are trying to find if everything is on and protecting you. The advanced plus software includes, real time scanning, firewall protection, VPN, browser security, tracker remover, and also secures your apps and boosts your apps to make them run faster! If you go in the program under app boost, it will actually point out which apps that it boosted and how many times. The advance plus includes identity protection including id protection, a password manager, and a shredder which shreds your recycle bin and other folders that you choose when you permanently delete something. You can choose how many times something is shredded from 2, 5, or 10 times. I choose a complete shred which shreds deleted items 10 times over to provide that extra protection. With the purchase of this software McAfee provides you with a one million dollar identity theft coverage and restoration. I hope I never have to use this but I am glad to have the extra protection. McAfee will provide you a score and details on where your information is on the dark web and how to gain back control of your full identity. The reason I provided 5 stars is because this software includes everything. I wasn’t asked 50 times when opening the app or with pop notifications that I needed to purchase additional security items.

Generally, you wouldn’t think that someone would stop to write a review on antivirus software, but I am different I am the individual who does. Not all software is the same or are even good at what they do. Typically, I like to review the items that I purchase and 99.9% of the time they are tangible items not digital, so this was a little difficult for me as it is not something I normally do. I wanted to give my thoughts on the advanced internet security software. I have used all other brands from Avast, Kapersky to Panda and they all protect you from viruses, but I like the fact that McAfee has not only PC but Android security software as well. You really can’t be too careful on the internet these days. I chose to install the advanced security suite on my Z Fold 4. To be frank I know that somehow there is an app on my phone that is leaking my personal information I receive so many spam text messages, phone calls and emails. I like the small footprint that the software has it isn’t a resource hog despite constantly running in the background. It automatically scans the applications I have installed and the ones that are updated regularly as well. McAfee named this advanced security, and you might be wondering what is so advanced about it and the answer is simple it does a whole lot of things such as VPN, Identity protection, wifi scanning and safe browsing. I was shocked to see that there are websites that do not make much effort to secure your personal data I had my data found in over twenty breaches and that is very unsettling. A lot of it was on websites no longer visit so that was surprising and a little good knowing that it had happened because those sites never bothered notifying me. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Small footprint - Easy to use - Feature rich - Can be used on multiple devices in a year’s subscription Cons: - I have used this for weeks and haven’t run into anything I do not like. I am overall pleased with the Advanced Security software it offers a lot for your money and not every security company can say or offer something comparable. If you are looking for security software to aid in daily computer or device usage then why not check out what McAfee has to offer.

I love McAfee antivirus software. It's been a few days since I installed the software and I'm very happy with the results and capabilities of this product. It scans and protects in real time, has a firewall, it has an app boost, provides a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN), a tracker remover, provides browser security and on and on. This product is amazing! Installation was quick, as I had a link provided to me for the install. Install was fairly quick and was uneventful. When I ran some scans, the software found several data breaches on the Dark Web which I had no idea about. What I really liked about this particular feature is that McAfee suggests steps that you should take to counter these breaches. Wow. Such an awesome feature! Can't live without this one. Another aspect of this software that I liked was that it did not a hog my system resources and my computer ran very efficiently. I had no bod down and lags in running other programs simultaneously. I have used other antivirus software that negatively affected my computers performance. McAfee is the best. Truly, I can't say enough good things about this software. It is magnificent, runs efficiently and without hogging my system resources.

Works great and is easy to install and run. I provides great PC protection.

This is a great product and just what I needed. Very easy to load and I was able to use it on multiple units. Would highly recommend to anyone leading that extra set of security for their computer, smart, phone, tablet, etc.

I came back to McAfee to see if their product has improved. So far so good but only time will tell once the annoying pop ups start showing up to purchase other upgrades.

I've used Mcafee for about 10 years. I've had this particular version for 2 years. Gives you all types of protection but the most wonderful thing about this one is it automatically have your personal info removed from online websites. It's there and it gets removed after a short period of time. Of cousre it comes back but they have it removed every time.

Love this anti virus software been using it for years always gets top reviews , blocks and protects me with all my computer needs. Service at Best Buy was great.

This version of McAfee Protections has more features than the basic versions-VPN, various scam monitoring and other protection privacy features... aaaayou can have full and partial scans... A good product for better coverage on your pc or other digital devices....
