I own a gantry laser, and I wanted to upgrade the time it takes for engraving, so I purchased this laser. Best bang for the buck, I feel! After some research, I'm pretty sure this is the exact make as the Sculpfun G9 but much much more affordable. It didn't speed up my engraving too much - it is MUCH faster than my gantry, but I have to do multiple runs. However, the quality is mind-blowing, and the IR engraving on metal is insanely high quality. I'd do more research if you're getting this to upgrade your setup, but if this is your first, it is perhaps the best bang for your buck. Just a disclaimer - I was NOT able to run this with LightBurn. I upgraded my LightBurn to LightBurn Pro and was on 2.0 like I was supposed to be, but the machine would only output 1% power, no matter what settings or profile I used. I contacted LightBurn support and MECPOW support, but they both weren't able to help me. That is okay because MECPOW's software isn't hard to use. It's great for beginners - not as good as LightBurn of course, but it does everything you could want to do. I also used a Creality rotary kit with this, but it didn't work - that might've just been on me.
