If you're someone who just really wants to play a game that is mechanically more like the entries from MGS4 and onward this does a good job at twisting MGS3 into that if you want it. I don't think it's hideous, but the remaster does cause some impactful things to be lost in the translation. If you've already played the original this can be a novel experience. Very expensive though.
