This unit provided the secureness that I needed to keep my audio system in place. It's a perfect fit, and was easy to install.

For $20 or so, you get 2 pieces of black plastic that are pre-drilled for every possible radio mounting holes and about 3 different types of screws - again to fit every type of radio. The plastic is contoured to match the dash contour. But when you have less than $1 worth of material, I would have expected the price to be closer to $7 or $8. These plastic plates mount to the side of the radio to fill in the gap left from the wider factory radio. The wider factory radio allows for a u-shaped removal tool to be inserted to release the catches that hold the radio into the dash. This product does not include the factory type locking mechanism. So, to remove the aftermarket radio, I have to pull the instrument panel cover. It's fairly easy to do, but it should be unnecessary. Also, the way this mounting kit installs, you cannot use the black out ring that comes with the radio. I'll have to pull the radio back out and paint some of the other behind the dash plastic black on top and bottom of the radio.
