This is the installation kit for the Pioneer AppRadio to adapt it to the Toyota Tacoma series of pickups. In fairness, I didn't do the installation, so I can't rate it on that score... BestBuy did, and I'm sure it was complex, since the AppRadio needs to know the position of the parking brake and transmission lever, as well as interface to a backup camera and, obviously, the electrical and antenna connectors. Nothing beats the experience of doing this work 8 hours a day, like BestBuy does, so I would not attempt it myself, despite long experience as an engineer. Having said that, this kit allows the radio to attach to your iPhone - which is what the AppRadio is all about. BUT ALL IT GIVES YOU IS AN 18" LONG CABLE BUNDLE WITH AN iPHONE ADAPTER AT THE END!!! Where are you gonna put the iPhone? You'd think these guys would have provided some sort of cradle for it on the bezel... or SOMETHING... but it's just a wire. My solutions so far consist of either putting the iPhone on my lap, on the console, or asking a passenger to hold it. None of these is great for 1) getting a GPS signal for the integrated navigation; 2) getting a cell signal for making calls; or 3) using the phone itself to compliment the not-too-ergonomic screen layout of the AppRadio itself. For the record, I'm gonna BUILD a nice cradle and attach it to the bezel myself, but I should not have to do this. It's kinda like buying a snazzy new car, only to discover it was designed without rear view mirrors. Can you drive it? Yes! Does it work mechanically? Yes! Is it a pain in the kazoo till you add the final touch that anyone with above a 3rd grade education can easily see is needed? Yes, indeed!

I have had my head unit installed for almost a year now, this trim is is a matte black and when I sat in my truck the first time after installation I was stunned at how amazing it looked sorrounding the new stereo sitting in place of the factory piece . It looked, and still looks absolutely Amazing and flawless.

Purchased a 2006 takoma radio was bad the new radio needed a kit this was perfect

When I received a new radio for my truck, I took it to the Best Buy Geek Squad for the installation. The Associate that set my install date, also helped me buy the required parts to complete the install. One item ordered was the dashboard cover. It came textured and color matched to look close to original equipment. I'm very pleased with the installation.

This product was missing multiple items and I ended up having to buy another one because I waited to long to install
