I got one of these from my son for Christmas. I was pumped that I got to buy my own game. But instead, I got some games the whole family have had fun with. It wasn't so much the card that was the gift, it was the giving and family time that I got out of it. It's kinda like being a toddler and getting a great gift, but the box was more fun.

There's not much to say about this card, which will add $50 to the user's Microsoft account for use with content on Xbox 360, Xbox One and other Microsoft online marketplaces. It's simple to redeem on either your console or on your computer by following the directions on the card. This is a great way to add stored value for users who don't have credit/debit cards linked to their Microsoft accounts, by choice (privacy concerns) or by not having a card to link (minors, for instance). This does make a great gift, too, especially if you don't know what your favorite gamer does/doesn't have. If I could make one change, I'd find a way to add in the QR Code scanning feature of Xbox One's Kinect, to make adding codes even faster. But that's a minor issue and one that shouldn't prevent you from choosing this option to fund a Microsoft account.

It's not a slice of bread or a car or a person. Don't expect it to do your laundry or walk your dog. The card itself pretty much goes right in the trash after you redeem the code, unless you're a slob or a hoarder and leave trash all over your house. It's safe to say your life won't change for the better (or for the worse for that matter) after you use it. The card itself is white and it has green lettering on it, which is kinda cool if you notice stuff like that. It is rectangular in shape and made out of a stiff cardboard. I suppose it could serve as a coaster, but I'm not sure why you'd do that. That's kind of a weird way of getting around buying coasters. They're really not that expensive, and this card did cost me $50. That's an expensive coaster. Now, I know what you're thinking - you're thinking " hey, I'll just buy lower denominations of these xbox gift cards! Perfect!" Well, I suppose you could do that, but this review is for the $50 gift card, and I don't want to get off track. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I would recommend this card to anyone who wants to put $50 on their xbox account.....or for any millionaire out there who, for some reason, wants to litter his/her house with extremely expensive coaster-esque pieces of cardboard. I hope this review was helpful.

I wish we reward program members (Unlocked) could get the 20% discount on these cards as well. Anyhow, the ease of adding the digital currency using Kinect is incredible! It makes redeeming much faster and easier. It is always good to have a little money in your Xbox wallet because random sales happen frequently and I much prefer having a balance in a separate account rather than using my credit card saved somewhere in some cloud server. This is the only way to purchase digital content in my eyes. Good product!

Pre-paid Xbox gift cards are the easiest way to give gaming gifts to friends and family. I also use them myself instead of using my credit card on the Xbox Live service. It keeps my account more safe from potential online threats.

Awesome way of funding your xbox live account. I try to find them discounted ontop of discounts on the xbox live store. You CAN NOT use these on the microsoft store website only xbox live store.

Having battled with Microsoft numerous times, I can tell you that the inconvenience of driving a ford explorer that gets 11 mpg to the nearest town that has a best buy (which is a 35 min drive for me), standing in line to purchase this product, and then drive back home in the summer with no air conditioning in your car is a far more pleasurable experience it is than to have to explain to Microsoft that you DID delete you credit card information and that you DID tell them on the website that they did not have permission to have auto pay on. Buy this Microsoft card instead and save yourself the hassle and speak with the friendly folks at a best buy store.

I've gone from buying all physical video game discs 2 mostly purchasing content digitally. With digital purchases u do not have 2 switch out disks & can switch easily from game/digital content with a button. Content is saved in the cloud so it will always b there/available if a problem arises & needs 2 b re-downloaded. I choose 2 use Xbox Currency bought from BestBuy for the reward points. They have different denominations making it easier 2 get the amount of funds needed. I also use cash 2 buy so I do not give out credit card info to either company...BestBuy and/or Microsoft. Convenient, private & safe in-store transaction 4 me & hopefully 4 u!.

Sometimes you get Visa/Mastercard/Amex gift cards that act kinda like debit cards but aren't always useful when shopping online. These cards are great to buy for your account to have money to buy content - and easy to do such. PROS: * Easy-- Delivery of the code is fast, so you can get your game on quickly. Also, you don't have to have a credit card on file that can get hacked. * It's Money -- Great way to limit those in your house on their digital spending. *Trade in -- You can use your trade-in credit to buy these cards at Best Buy. CONS: * None

I love this product because it's easy to load up on my Xbox Live Gold points. The points are great for games, video, and music.

I, like many people like to sample some of the digital-only indie games on the various online marketplaces, in this case Xbox Live. The double rewards points from Gamer's Club Unlocked also applies to these digital cards, so that's how I have been buying my points when I need more! Some may also prefer the security provided by prepaid cards over storing them within the service.

Have used these Microsoft point cards for many years. Easy and secure. Do not have to enter credit card information. I keep a set amount in my account for things like add ons to games. I don't have to worry about account getting hacked and credit card info compromised and all the hassles associated with cleaning up that mess. Have never had a problem using these cards and will continue to use them. Make good gifts for my son and nephews.

This card does what it says it does, it gives you 50 bucks to spend at the XBL store.

If you can read, scratch film with a coin and use an xbox controller, this product is for you. Do you like to download movies, music or games from the xbox marketplace? This product is for you. Do you have a son, nephew, uncle, dad, sister or mom who uses an xbox? If so this is for you. Basically if you do anything on xbox, this is for you!!!! If you have a Playstation, this is NOT for you!

I love these cards for my son. He can aka he several games and it encourages him to Prichard several games at lower prices as opposed to the games in store only. We still make purchases in store for the games that have significant memory, but the card enables him to purchase games that are not offered in store. Also teaches great money management skills.

This was the first time I had bought a prepaid card for online. The employees help me pick it out. Best buy also sent me a 10% off code and I had $5 in rewards. I was able to use both!!! I got the $50 card for only $40. It was a great buy. Everything electronic I get for gaming I buy from Best Buy or Amazon. I wont go anywhere else.

This is a quick and easy way to add to add credits to your Xbox Live account without having to provide your CC number in case your worried about your information being stolen. Only thing i wish Microsoft would do is start adding the scan code to the card for people that have Kinect to make it even easier to add fund to your account.
