Hands-down this is the smallest most fastest ipad/ laptop that I could connect anywhere to so that I can work from anywhere. I can download any software for me to do payroll from anywhere ! For vacations it is easy to pack in my purse because it’s very thin and compact and small very well worth your money. No over heat it lasts days without being charged. Worth every penny !

Best purchase I’ve made in a while. I was debating on the Surface Go 2 versus Net Books and I’m glad I chose to go with this beauty. Once I took it off S mode it worked just as a laptop. Taking it off the unwanted S mode to many user was extremely easy to do so. Since I’ve had zero issues on downloading apps and been able to use a Military CAC reader for my travels and at home usage.

I like this item. I only buy apple but had to have Microsoft 10 for a software I use at my work and I have had no complaints with the touch screen quality speed, battery life etc. I was pleasantly surprised … Wish it came with keyboard though

My husband needed something he could use for business needs. He's not computer savvy but it works great for him.

This was bought to use as a speach machine. " Snap Core First " by Tobiidynavox. We had a hard time getting it loaded and setup because there was some kind of preloaded program stopping it. Had to download a program giving Tobiidynavox Tech access so she could go through things and get it working. This is all it will be used for. Best Buy did not have a carry case with a handle for it. Have to buy one else where. The program is working good now.

Buyer beware. YOU CANNOT INSTALL ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. Windows 10 S is not a normal Windows Operating system. I saw "Windows" and just assumed this Surface Go would work like every other Windows computer I have owned. This is not the case. Windows 10 S is NOT normal Windows. This includes other browsers and EVEN TITLES from Microsoft themselves. Windows Journal from Microsoft.com will not install from their website. Only an upgrade to Windows PRO is the only answer. QUOTE FROM MICROSOFT Website My Windows 10 S PC won't install some apps. Is that normal? If you have a Windows 10 PC running Windows 10 S (such as a Surface Laptop), you may notice that it won't install apps from outside the Microsoft Store. Don't worry—that's the way we designed it. By exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store, Windows 10 S helps keep your PC running fast and secure and provides peace of mind by removing the risks that come with downloading apps from other places.

Hi - Windows 10 may be switched out of S mode, however doing so is permanent. For more information on how to do this, please go here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-10-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307
Love it love it love it love it love it wish it came with the keyboard an pen for the price but love it
The Surface Go 2 is an exceptional device that truly impressed me. Its compact size and lightweight design make it perfect for on-the-go productivity. The stunning 10.5-inch touchscreen display delivers vibrant visuals, while the powerful Intel processor ensures smooth performance. The battery life is impressive, providing long-lasting usage throughout the day. The inclusion of a versatile kickstand and detachable keyboard enhances the overall usability and transforms it into a laptop-like experience. With Windows 10 and access to a wide range of apps, the Surface Go 2 is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a portable and capable device.

My wife has needed to work at home for the last two months and will be doing so for the foreseeable future. She had been using a clunky older laptop with poor battery life. We purchased the Surface Go 2 as a light, easy to move, and long-lived computer for her to get work done. I was a bit worried about the Pentium Gold processor and 4GB of RAM, but for her workflow of Microsoft Edge, iTunes, and Citrix it has worked great. The small 64GB of on-board storage worried me, but it also has a Micro SD slot, so I threw some extra storage in that way. I haven't used a Surface since the Surface Pro 3, but I am incredibly impressed with the build quality and the clarity of the screen, especially for $400. If you plan to use it as a consumption tablet, you might be better suited with an iPad, but for someone who needs to get "real work" done, this is an excellent choice.

Would give it 0 stars if possible. 1st one camera stopped working and had to disable to boot up. Only 3 months old and had to accept a refurbished unit as replacement. That one failed immediately (screen was upside down when rotated 90 degrees)... yet another refurbished unit showed up to have the exact same problem (even during the initial setup)... screen upside down when turned 90 degrees.

It stopped working after a couple months. It won’t turn on and the screen keeps saying no bootable device.

Overall you get less than what you pay for. Didn't think it would be this low powered and the cpu is 100% used when you're just scrolling on the laptop. 400 dollar phones are better than this thing.

This is such a great laptop for light work tasks. Let me first start of with who this machine is for. If you are a user who only needs a computer to browse the web, watch some videos, check emails, video conference, listen to music, and occasionally use the office suite, or you need a secondary machine then it is a great small laptop. I bought this very exact model and it works just fine for me as my secondary computer. The intel Pentium is pretty decent. Websites load relatively quickly I am actually typing this review on my Surface Go 2. It is made of premium materials, feels good on the hand, and it is nice and light to carry around with you. The display is very beautiful to look at it can get nice and bright and the colors are very accurate. The battery is pretty good for the size of this machine. You can expect anywhere between 5-8 hours depending on your usage. I am able to have a couple of tabs open using Edge (I recommend Edge over Chrome due to the low 4GB of RAM. Edge runs better) without any performance drop. If you are a user who needs something more ram but you are not a heavy user then get the 8GB of Ram model. The 8GB will surely help you with having more apps open at the same time and it will help things run overall smoother under load. That being said this computer is not for gaming or heavy users. If you are a user who needs to have 20+ tabs open a long with photoshop and a few other apps or users who wants to game, I would just look somewhere else. For this type of users I recommend you getting the Surface Pro. Hopefully this helps you with your decision.

Don't buy this if you want a laptop. Also the photo is misleading...there is no keyboard! It's basically an ipad and not the most efficient. Once I got used to it, I thought ok it functions for me just fine...but I expected an actual laptop. Wasn't happy at all.

Hello,
We're sorry that your experience with Surface Go 2 hasn't met expectations. If it's still within Best Buy's return period, we recommend exchanging it for a new one. If that's not possible, please contact Microsoft Support for assistance here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/
Hope that helps,

This is my first Microsoft product, and I am very impressed. It is light and compact, and easy to set up and use. Colors and images are bright and sharp, and it seems to have more than enough power. Sound quality is also quite good. Charging is fast and easy, and battery life if good. I plan to get the keyboard for improved email usage and also to protect the screen. While I've only had it a short time, so far it has more than met my expectations and I'm very happy with it as I think it is a very good tablet for the price. I would have rated it at least a 4.5 had that been an option.

Just what my wife needed. Easy for her to use. Just the right size and weight. She switched from iPad to this tablet to try since I had asurface pro for years never had a problem it's just a little heavy. So I upgraded my tablet and my wife's at the same time. And we both are extremely pleased wit the performance and quality. The battery life is a lot longer as well.

I bought this during the Black Friday sale. I bought it as open box and I'm assuming that the original owner had different expectations when they returned it. I was fully aware of the limitations of it before I bought it, and it will be used as an additional device to throw in my bag. I am using it for basic MS Office stuff, web browsing, Zoom calls, and movies/TV so I don't have to take my regular laptop everywhere. It is a fully functional Windows computer, but you really need to think of this as a tablet. Don't expect to run multiple resource intensive apps at the same time and expect snappy results. This has a low end Intel processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. I got by the storage issues by using a 256GB MicroSD card and taking advantage of cloud storage, but there is no way to upgrade the RAM. The Pentium Gold processor is fine, but since it is dual core I try to have as few apps running as possible. It doesn't come with the keyboard, and I highly recommend getting one if you intend on doing any sort of typing. Windows in S mode does restrict you to using MS Store apps, but you can turn it into regular Windows if you have a need for other software. The cameras are in the center, which is great for Zoom calls. If you know what you're getting into by buying the cheapest member of the Surface family, it's a great deal. There are several different configurations in the Go line, so get the one that suits your needs
