A: It's soldered on but once your warranty is up you can take it to a repair shop or if you can solder you can upgrade the ram

A: You are given the same return period as customers buying brand new devices and are even able to just deny the product at the counter when you arrive to pick it up if it does not meet your expectations. In satisfactory condition it should still include the charger and often will still be in good condition without major dents or any damage to the display.
Q: Is this a good fit for a student that is mostly online?
A: Yes, I work virtually for a large law firm, long days dealing with multiple applications and the internet, and was issued a Surface 4 for work. I liked it so much that I bought the exact same one for personal use.
A: No not really. I mean, I suppose you could find a way to open, but I'm betting everything is soldered in, so I don't think its designed to be upgradable.
A: I have not noticed excessive noise with the specific Ryzen 7 in this laptop or the similar Ryzen 7 in my other laptop. Sometimes windows computers may have issues out of the box with software or hardware that can make them loud under minimal load. It was hopefully just a one off issue. This laptop has been nearly silent most of the time for me.
